DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

This form describes several specific examples included in the device for eyelash extensions, based on the drawings. In the figures for describing the embodiments of the device for eyelash extensions, the same part is, in principle, marked with the same symbol, and repeated descriptions thereof are omitted. The eyelash extension device can be used primarily for curing glue during eyelash extension application. Eyelash extension devices may be defined as eyelash extension devices or eyelash extension attachments.

As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4, the eyelash extension appliance 10 has an appliance body 11, a light 12, and electric wires 13. The eyelash extension device 10 can attach and detach a tweezer 14. The device body 11 consists of, for example, a synthetic resin case surface covered with soft silicone rubber. The device body 11 has a grip 15 and a light support 16 connected to the grip 15. The grip 15 is the part that the practitioner grips with the hand H1 and is shaft-shaped, as shown in FIG. 5. The light support 16 is connected to the first end in the longitudinal direction of the grip 15. An electric wire 13 is connected to the second end in the longitudinal direction of the grip 15. For example, a USB-C cable is used as the electric wire 13. The electric wire 13 is connected to the power supply 18 via the adapter 17 shown in FIG. 6. Adapter 17 has the function of converting AC power to DC power.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the grip 15 has a retaining hole 19. The retaining hole 19 is provided for mounting and dismounting the tweezer 14. The retaining hole 19 is configured as an arch-shaped portion of the grip 15. The retaining holes 19 are provided over more than half of the grip 15 in the longitudinal direction.

Light 12 is a light source that emits light A1, as shown in FIG. 5. Light 12 is, for example, a UV-LED light (ultraviolet light-emitting diode light). The light 12 is attached to the outer surface of the light support 16. A pressure sensor 20 is also provided on the outer surface of the grip 15. The pressure sensor 20 and the retaining hole 19 are positioned opposite each other in the thickness direction of the grip 15. The pressure sensor 20 is pressed by the fingers of the practitioner's hand H1 holding the grip 15. The pressure sensor 20 detects the pressure applied by the finger and outputs a signal.

FIG. 5 shows an example of holding the eyelash extension device 10 with hand H1 in the orientation in which the thumb 30 of hand H1 holds the tweezer 14 and the index finger 31 of hand H1 holds the pressure sensor 20. The direction in which the eyelash extension device 10 is held in hand H1 can also be the direction in which the index finger 31 holds the tweezer 14 and the thumb 30 holds the pressure sensor 20.

FIG. 6 is a block diagram showing the control system of the eyelash extension device 10. A control unit 21 is provided inside the device body 11. The control unit 21 is a microcomputer with input ports, output ports, arithmetic processing circuits, and a timer. A memory device 22 is also provided inside the device body 11. The memory device 22 stores non-temporary programs that are activated in the processing performed by the control unit 21, as well as data and information used in the processing performed by the control unit 21. In addition, a power supply circuit 23 and a light control circuit 24 are provided inside the device body 11. The power supply circuit 23 is an electrical circuit that electrically connects the light 12 to the power supply 18. The light control circuit 24 has the functions of connecting and disconnecting the power supply circuit and changing the illuminance of the light 12.

The operation unit 28 is provided on the surface of the device body 11. The operation unit 28 comprises buttons embedded in or attached to the surface of the device body 11. By operating the controls 28, the practitioner can change the illuminance of the light 12 and the predetermined time from when the light 12 is turned on to when it is turned off. The display unit 29 is provided on the exterior surface of the device body 11. The display unit 29 is, for example, a liquid crystal panel visible to the practitioner. The display unit 29 can indicate the illuminance of the light 12 and the predetermined time between the light 12 being turned on and being turned off in numerals. The display unit 29 is activated by power from the power supply 18.

The control unit 21 is connected to the pressure sensor 20, the memory device 22, the light control circuit 24, the operation unit 28, and the display unit 29. The control unit 21 reads the non-temporary program stored in the memory device 22 and controls the light control circuit 24 and the display unit 29 based on the signal input from the pressure sensor 20, the signal input from the operation unit 28, the elapsed time counted by the timer, etc.

Tweezer 14 is a tweezer used in eyelash extension application to grip the eyelash extensions 25 and to rake the subject's own eyelashes, as shown in FIG. 5. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the tweezer 14 has a first component piece 26 and a second component piece 27. The first and second component pieces 26 and 27 are made of metal, for example, stainless steel. The first component piece 26 and the second component piece 27 are both plate shaped. The tweezer 14 is a V-shaped tool connected to the longitudinal end of the first component piece 26 and the longitudinal end of the second component piece 27.

The practitioner can attach the tweezer 14 to the device body 11 by, for example, inserting the tip 26A of the first component piece 26 into the retaining hole 19 from the electric wire 13 side. With the tweezer 14 attached to the device body 11, when the practitioner grips the grip 15 and the tweezer 14 with the hand H1 as shown in FIG. 5, the pressure sensor 20 and the retaining hole 19 are positioned in the opposite direction B1 in the direction of the thickness of the grip 15 where the first component piece 26 and the second component piece 27 are overlapped. The tweezer 14 can be removed from the device body 11 by the practitioner pulling the first component piece 26 out of the retaining hole 19.

Example of Eyelash Extension Device Use

An example of the use of the eyelash extension device 10 is as follows. First, with the subject's eyes closed, apply protective tape to the skin below the eyes. Next, wipe off any foreign matter on the subject's own eyelashes. As shown in FIG. 3, the tweezer 14 is attached to the device body 11. The tip 26A of the first component piece 26 and the tip 27A of the second component piece 27 are located in the longitudinal direction of the device body 11, in front of the light 12.

The practitioner clips one eyelash extension 25 with the tweezer 14 and applies an appropriate amount of glue to the end of the pinched eyelash extensions 25, as shown in FIG. 5. The glue is a light-curing resin. Light-curing resin is a synthetic organic material that changes from a liquid state to a solid state and hardens under the action of light energy. For example, UV-curable resin is used as a light-curing resin. The eyelash extensions 25 to which the glue is attached are then brought into contact with one of the subject's own eyelashes.

Furthermore, when the practitioner increases the force with which the fingers grasp the grip 15 and tweezer 14, the pressure sensor 20 is turned on. When the control unit 21 detects that the pressure sensor 20 is turned on, it connects the light control circuit 24. Thus, power from the power supply 18 is supplied to the light 12, and the light 12 is turned on. The timer in the control unit 21 measures the time that has elapsed since the pressure sensor 20 was turned on. When a predetermined time, e.g., 5 seconds, elapses, the control unit 21 shuts off the light control circuit 24 and resets the timer. Power from the power supply 18 is then not supplied to the light 12, and the light 12 is turned off.

As shown in FIG. 5, the glue is accelerated to harden while the light A1 is irradiated from the light 12, and the eyelash extensions 25 are glued, or fixed, to the self-lashes. The practitioner uses the eyelash extension device 10 to attach the eyelash extensions 25 one by one to the subject's own eyelashes by repeating the above process.

Effect of Embodiment

The eyelash extension device 10 can be held between the grip 15 and tweezer 14 with the fingers of the practitioner. The pressure sensor 20 and the retaining hole 19 are provided at opposite positions in the grip 15. Specifically, the pressure sensor 20 and the retaining hole 19 are located at opposite positions in the direction B1 in the thickness direction of the grip 15, where the first component piece 26 and the second component piece 27 overlap. Therefore, the practitioner can turn on the light 12 by increasing the pressure applied by the index finger 31, which is in contact with the pressure sensor 20, without moving the thumb 30 and index finger 31, which are holding the grip 15 and tweezer 14, to different locations. Thus, the operability to turn on the light 12 is improved.

In addition, the practitioner does not have to move the thumb 30 and index finger 31 to a different part of the device body 11, thereby suppressing vibration of the device body 11. Therefore, the tip 26A of the first component 26 and the tip 27A of the second component 27, shown in FIG. 5, can be prevented from leaving the target own eyelashes, and the adhesive work of the eyelash extensions 25 can be performed accurately and efficiently.

Furthermore, comparing the light 12 of the eyelash extension device 10 of the present disclosure with a stand-type light that is a comparative example, the light 12 can irradiate the light A1 of the light 12 from a point closer to the eyelash extensions 25 than the stand-type light of the comparative example. Therefore, the gluing of the eyelash extensions 25 can be performed accurately and efficiently.

Furthermore, the tweezer 14 has the first component piece 26 inserted into the retaining hole 19, allowing the practitioner to hold the device body 11 and tweezer 14 in one hand H1. Thus, the gluing of the eyelash extensions 25 can be performed accurately and efficiently. Furthermore, the electric wire 13 is provided with an adapter 17. Thus, power can be supplied from various power sources 18, resulting in a convenient and reliable eyelash extension device 10.

Furthermore, when the surface of the grip 15 is made of soft silicone rubber, it prevents the practitioner's hand H1 from getting tired and the grip 15 from slipping against the hand H1. Thus, the eyelash extensions 25 can be glued accurately and efficiently. Furthermore, the applicator can operate the operation unit 28 to change the illumination intensity of the light 12 and the predetermined time from when the light 12 is turned on to when it is turned off. Thus, the eyelash extension 25 gluing process can be performed accurately and efficiently.
