Abstract
The invention relates to a device made up of filtering microfibre fabrics (1) which are thermofused (2), this method providing a sealed reinforcement. Its base has an internal seam (3). Its elasticated drawstrings (4) make it adaptable to all sizes, and their stitching (5) ensures its sturdiness. With its large internal air volume (6), the user's nostrils (7) and mouth (8) are not in contact with the fabric. This protection is easy to use, simple, comfortable and hygienic. It dries very fast and can be reused very quickly.
Description

The present invention relates to a facial protection accessory. This accessory, in the form of a large flexible beak, protects the nose and mouth and acts as a filter between the air outside and the air inside the beak.


Protective masks are currently available on the market but most do not offer any volume of air; they cling to the face and act like a gag. The little volume of air that they permit leads to discomfort through a feeling of suffocation. This constricting lack-of-air discomfort makes users disposed to reject them.


The device according to the invention is able to overcome this disadvantage. Specifically, THE LARGE FLEXIBLE PROTECTIVE BEAK, through its shape, offers a significant volume of air inside it, allowing for comfortable breathing.


Its composition as 3 layers of microfiber fabric provides a high level of filtration of the ambient air (for pollen, mites, bacteria in suspension). It also protects against saliva sputter and other projections. Through its shape, it provides extensive protection of the face extending from the top of the nose to the bottom of the neck. Its flexible material is very strong. Through its texture, which can be washed by hand with express hand-wash washing detergent with a little added bleach, this accessory is reusable and dries very quickly.


This allows easy and effective disinfection. It can also be machine-washed at 60°. This fusion-bonded beak does not have to be ironed.


Apart from being comfortable, it is hygienic and very simple and practical to use. Specifically, because the fabric does not touch the nostrils or the mouth, allergies and the moistening of the walls of the fabric by the mucosa are avoided. It can thus be tolerated for longer than the current protective devices.


It is fastened very easily by knotting 2 elastic cords behind the neck. The fact that it dries very quickly offers a practical time-saving.


It can be reused several times in the day while maintaining hygiene thanks to effective quick and very simple disinfectant washing.


This accessory can be adapted to suit all sizes, all builds and all ages. It is intended for the small and for the large.


Its playful bird-beak shape adds a touch of humor and poetry.

With reference to these drawings, THE LARGE FLEXIBLE PROTECTIVE BEAK comprises:

  • (1) Two isosceles triangles made of three-thickness microfiber fabric, fusion-bonded along the exterior edges
  • (2). Once fusion-bonded, the assembly is turned inside out in order to obtain an invisible seam with hidden edges.


    This fusion-bonding allows for a seam that is strong, fully hermetic, and forms the framework of the beak. There is no need to iron this fabric and it must not be ironed.


    The base of this assembly is seamed with a very discreet internal hem (3). The two elastic cords (4) used for securing the assembly are firmly stitched to the inside of the BEAK at two ends (5).


By way of nonlimiting example, the base of the BEAK (3) measures 35 cm, its sides (2) measure 25 cm and the elastic cords (4) are 19 cm long.


These dimensions create the size of the BEAK. They form a large interior space with a large volume of air sufficient for breathing (6), hence the feeling of comfort.


Moreover, this design means that the mouth is not in contact with the fabric (7). Specifically, because the user's nostrils are kept away from the walls of the BEAK (8), the fabric does not cling to the face when air is inhaled.


The mucosa are therefore not in contact, giving a feeling of being able to breathe and reducing the risk of contact allergies.


Thanks to this volume with the reserve of air offered by this device and thanks to its high filtering capability, the large flexible protective beak provides greater comfort, a greater feeling of being able to breathe, and better hygiene.


The user is less oppressed and less desirous to remove this protection and, above all, is more inclined 10 to wear it.

An accessory for protecting a user's face, in the form of a flexible protective beak, wherein it comprises: two isosceles triangles made of fabric;two elastic cords,the two isosceles triangles being fusion-bonded along 2 equal exterior edges in order to obtain an assembly with a fully hermetic seam which forms the framework of the flexible protective beak, then the assembly is turned inside out in order to make the seam invisible with hidden edges,the accessory being dimensioned so that it provides protection of the face extending from the top of the nose to the bottom of the neck, and so that fastening it by knotting the two elastic cords behind the neck, allows this accessory to be adapted to fit all sizes of face.
  • 9. The accessory as claimed in claim 8, wherein its flexible protective beak shape which is obtained because of the isosceles triangles offers an interior air volume that allows for breathing.
  • 10. The accessory as claimed in claim 8, wherein the walls of the flexible protective beak are intended to be kept away from the mouth and the nostrils of the user so that the fabric does not cling to the face when the user inhales air.
  • 11. The accessory as claimed in claim 8, wherein the fabric has a composition made up of layers of microfiber fabric, which composition is configured to provide a high level of filtration of the ambient air and prevent allergies.
  • 12. A method for manufacturing a protective accessory in the form of a flexible protective beak as claimed in claim 8, wherein it involves fusion-bonding the two isosceles triangles along the 2 equal exterior edges in order to obtain a fully hermetic seam which forms the framework of the flexible protective beak, and the fusion-bonded assembly is turned inside out in order to obtain an invisible seam with hidden edges.
