Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a far infrared heater, and more particularly to a far infrared heater having a far infrared heating member supported by a supporting structure able to emit far infrared rays to all sides, the far infrared rays can be radiated out from an opening of a housing of the heater; the heater can be used at a foot, a shoulder or some other areas of the body.

2. Description of the Prior Art

In the busy as well as tensed up industrial and commercial society, some people who work and seat in offices for long periods are subjected to having bad blood circulation that makes abnormal body functions; while some other people having inferior body constitutions are subjected to having phenomenon of cool hands and feet, this phenomenon is more serious in winters.

Sports are undoubtedly the best ways to solve the above problems. However, in fact, not all people have time and constancy for sporting. Hence many people having bad blood circulation are using various commercially available heating devices (such as heating pads or foot steepers) to help keep bodies warm.

However, a conventional heating pad mainly has therein separated heating wires extending to and fro, it is unable to give the heating pad an uniform temperature when being heated; and the heating pad mainly is used to cover an area of a body, if it is used as a foot pad, it not only is subjected to getting dirty, but also looks complicated by providing with a manual switch. A conventional foot steeper can only get an effect of heating for a user after adding water and having the water heated, this not only renders large volume of the entire foot steeper, but also is more cumbersome for use.

Moreover, none of the two above stated heating devices uses far infrared ray for heating, they only take advantage of heat transmission, their effect of improving blood circulation of bodies are not good.

In view of the above stated and to get rid of the stated defects, the inventor provides the present invention based on his professional experience of years in studying and nonstop improvement for rendering a far infrared heater convenient for a user to use on any area of his body, thereby to activate cells of his body and to get healthy.

The present invention will be apparent after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiments thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 2 is an anatomic perspective view showing the elements of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2 which depict a preferred embodiment of a far infrared heater 1 of the present invention, the far infrared heater 1 comprises a housing 2, a panel 3, a far infrared heating member 4, a supporting structure 5 and a control device 6.

The housing 2 is an upwardly arched rectangular member, it includes an upper lid 21 and a lower base 22 connected with each other. The upper lid 21 is provided centrally on its top with an opening 211 which is generally rectangular and renders communicating of its upper area with its lower area; the upper lid 21 is provided centrally on its top with a display screen 212, and its four corners each has a dent 213 to leave a notch 214. The base 22 is generally rectangular, and is provided centrally on its top with a recess 221, the recess 221 has at each of its four corners a positioning member 222. The base 22 has on its bottom surface a plurality of supporting blocks 223 to support the base 22 and the upper lid 21.

The panel 3 is made of transparent or half transparent fiber glass or some other material that can bear the weight of a man without breaking; it is laid flat beneath the opening 211 of the upper lid 21 to completely cover the opening 211; the peripheries of the opening 211 of the upper lid 21 and the panel 3 clamp therebetween a waterproof washer 31 in the shape of a frame.

The far infrared heating member 4 is a rectangular thin plate, and is provided beneath the panel 3; and the far infrared heating member 4 includes an insulating plate 41, a piece of carbon fiber 42 clamped in the insulating plate 41 and arrayed in the form of a plain surface, and an electrode 43 connecting with the piece of carbon fiber 42.

The supporting structure 5 is rectangular and is composed of a plurality of mutually crossing reinforced ribs 51, the shapes formed by such crossing can be a plurality of crosses, rhomboids, a honeycomb or other shapes; the supporting structure 5 is provided beneath the far infrared heating member 4, the four corners of the supporting structure 5 are respectively restrained by the four positioning members 222 of the base 22 and are engaged in the four recesses 221 of the base 22 to support the far infrared heating member 4 and the panel 3 above them.

The control device 6 includes a control circuit board 61, two touch switches 62, a detector (not shown) and two touch control plates 63. The control circuit board 61, the touch switches 62 and the detector and the electrode 43 of the far infrared heating member 4 are all electrically connected. The control circuit board 61 is provided thereon with a plurality of LEDs 611, the LEDs 611 can display indicating light signals on the display screen 212 of the upper lid 21; the two touch switches 62 are respectively fixed at the two ends of the base 22. The detector can detect changing of temperature; it is allocated between the far infrared heating member 4 and the supporting structure 5. The two touch control plates 63 are provided each with a protruding portion 631 and are placed respectively in two of the dents 213 of the upper lid 21; the two protruding portions 631 can be inserted in two corresponding notches 214 of the upper lid 21, thereby the two touch control plates 63 are contacted with the two touch switches 62 respectively to control turning on/off of the far infrared heating member.

After sequentially assembling downwards from above the upper lid 21, the waterproof washer 31, the panel 3, the far infrared heating member 4, the supporting structure 5 and the base 22, an upwardly arched rectangular member is obtained. By pressing the two touch control plates 63 to move the two touch switches 62, heating time and temperature of the far infrared heating member 4 can be controlled, and they can be displayed on the display screen 212 of the upper lid 21.

When a user proceeds to heating a foot area or a shoulder area, by the above arched design, the panel 3 can be totally clung to the body of the user. And by virtue that the far infrared heating member 4 can emit far infrared rays to all sides, the effect of heating can be fast obtained; and the touch control plates 63 are directly provided on two ends of the upper lid 21, they are quite convenient for operation.

The present invention thus has the following advantages:

  • 1. The present invention can render a user to obtain the effect of fast heating by having the far infrared heating member structure that can emit far infrared rays to all sides.
  • 2. The present invention can render the far infrared heating member to be supported by combination of the housing and the supporting structure; thereby it can be used at a foot, a shoulder or some other areas of the body.
  • 3. The present invention can render the panel totally clung to the body of the user by an arched design; hence it more meets human engineering in using, and have great efficiency.
  • 4. The present invention is more convenient in use by allowing the user to put a hand or a foot directly on the touch control plates to control turning on/off of the far infrared heating member.

In conclusion, according to the description disclosed above and the drawings, the present invention surely can achieve the expected objectives thereof to provide a far infrared heater that is convenient for operation, applicable to any areas of the user's body, and can activate cells of the user's body to get healthy by the effect of heating by the far infrared rays. The present invention has its very large value of industrial utility.
