Claims
- 1. Method of making foamable styrene polymer particles which yield fast cooling foamed moldings comprising intimately mixing a dry blend of
- (a) styrene polymer particles containing 3 to 20 weight percent of a blowing agent, and
- (b) 0.05 to 0.6 weight percent of a mixture of esters having general formula RCO.sub.2 R', wherein R and R' may be the same or different and are long chain alkyl groups having from 12 to 18 carbon atoms and which mixture of esters is composed of 20 to 30 weight percent of C.sub.14 or lower alkyls, 50 to 55 weight percent of C.sub.16 alkyls and 20 to 25 weight percent of C.sub.18 alkyls.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein said styrene polymer particles are polystyrene.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein said styrene polymer particles are a copolymer of styrene with minor amounts of maleic anhydride.
- 4. The method of claim 1 wherein said styrene polymer particles are a copolymer of styrene with minor amounts of acrylonitrile.
