Claims
- 1. A fastener grommet assembly comprising:first and second cylindrical flange members, each of the members having an outer surface and an inner surface, a defined axial opening, said members being joinable to each other by engaging means and adapted to permanently or temporarily sandwich at least one piece of material therebetween; a fastening mechanism consisting of a plurality of protrusions and recesses formed on the outer surface of each flange member which enable the protrusions and recesses on the flange members to releasably interlock and mate with the protrusions and recesses of another flange member of a second such fastener grommet assembly to facilitate fastening of a piece of said material in one location to become fastened to another location; each axial opening corresponding to an opening in the material sandwiched between said flange members, said openings in the flanges and in the material providing a passageway through which a cord, wire, or other device can be passed, and each flange member being made of plastic or metal.
