Claims
- 1. A Stack of nuts removeably retained in serial alignment for delivery to a nut installation means, each nut having a body portion with generally polygonal top and bottom faces, and a central threaded bore extending through each nut body portion and through said top and bottom faces, and generally perpendicular thereto, the stack of nuts comprising in combination:
- a plurality of said nuts in the form of a stack with the top face engaging the bottom face of the next adjacent nut, and said nut bores in general co-axial alignment; and
- a removeable flexible linear connector wire loop extending through said generally co-axially aligned nut bores having a bight portion and a pair of return portions substantially parallel to the axis of said aligned nut bores, said connector loop releasably interconnecting said nuts in stacked relation for delivery to said nut installation means without fixedly retaining any two adjacent nuts.
- 2. The stack of nuts as set forth in claim 1, wherein:
- said wire loop includes linear support means; and
- guide means on said linear support means one end receiving the bight portion of said wire loop.
- 3. A stack of nuts removeably retained in serial alignment for delivery to a nut installation means, each nut having a body portion with generally polygonal top and bottom faces and a pair of oppositely extending flange portions with one flange portion extending from each end of the nut, each nut including a pair of opposed sides and a central threaded bore extending through each nut body portion with the bore axis generally perpendicular to the top and bottom faces, the stack of nuts comprising in combination:
- a plurality of said nuts in the form of a stack with said nut bores in generally coaxial alignment being retained on linear support means in the form of a self supporting elongated rod;
- guide means on one end of said support rod receiving a bight portion of a relatively removeable flexible wire loop, said wire loop defined in part by a pair of return wire portions aligned along and spaced from said support rod so as to extend through the bore of each stacked nut; and
- said wire loop return portions supporting and releasably retaining said stack of nuts thereon in slidable face-to-face abuttment with the nut bores in generally coaxial alignment on said wire loop return portions without fixedly joining any two adjacent nuts.
- 4. A stack of nuts removeably retained in serial alignment for delivery to a nut installation means, each nut having a body portion with generally polygonal top and bottom faces, and a central threaded bore extending through each nut body portion and through said top and bottom faces and generally perpendicular thereto, the stack of nuts comprising in combination:
- a plurality of said nuts in the form of a stack with the top face engaging the bottom face of the next adjacent nuts, and said nut bores in general co-axial alignment;
- a removeable flexible linear connector strand extending through said generally co-axial aligned nut bores releasably interconnecting said nuts in stacked relation for delivery to said nut installation means without fixedly retaining any two adjacent nuts; and
- a rod guide means extending through said nut bores, said rod guide means being self-supporting and receiving said nuts in stacked relation, and said rod guide means having an unloading means for removing said nuts from said rod guide means in serial alignment to said nut installation means.
