This invention relates to a fastening clip for attaching rails and posts in a fence structure and an attachment method of said fastening clip comprising a post clipping portion for clipping an outer surface of the post wherein each end region thereof be a connecting portion, and each end of the connecting portions be a rail clipping portion having an upper end or a lower end being a rail-edge clipping portion for clipping an upper surface or a lower surface of the rail respectively and the rail clipping portion has a through hole for inserting of a bolt.
The object of this invention is to provide a fastening clip for attaching rails and posts in a fence structure that can be rapidly and easily attached and detached as well as overcome disadvantages of a prior art attachment of rails and posts.
A current attachment of rails and posts in a fence structure for defining boundaries comprises a plurality of posts in a form of a bar mounted at spaced intervals for attachment of a plurality of rails by
each rail is in a form of an attaching bar or plate with a certain length for attaching between the posts at spaced intervals of various elevations for example attaching each end portion of the rails to each side of the posts, etc.
The attachment of rails and posts in the fence structure as described above has disadvantages of an ease of rusting around attachment areas, a length of the rail needed to be equal to a separated distance between the two posts, time consumption and expertise skill needed in this attachment, and a difficulty in removal of the rails for replacement.
connecting portions 3 each extending from each end region of the post clipping portion 2 as a folded portion or a curved portion or a portion formed according to the outer surface of the post clipped thereon for clipping an edge of the outer surface of the post on each side thereof (as shown in
rail clipping portions 4 each extending from each end region of the connecting portions 3 as a flat clipping sheet or a curved clipping sheet or a clipping sheet formed into a corner in various features or a clipping sheet formed according to the outer surface of the rail clipped thereon for clipping an outer surface of the rails from each side thereof (as shown in
an upper end region or a lower end region of each of the rail clipping portions 4 is a rail-edge clipping portion 5 as a flat clipping sheet or a curved clipping sheet or a clipping sheet formed into a corner in various features or a clipping sheet formed according to the outer surface of the rail clipped thereon for clipping an upper surface or a lower surface of the rails respectively on each side thereof (as shown in
there is a through hole 6 in the rail clipping portion 4 as a circular hole or a non-circular hole for inserting of a bolt.
connecting portions 3 each extending from each end region of the post clipping portion 2 as a folded portion for clipping an edge of the outer surface of the post on each side thereof (as shown in
rail clipping portions 4 each extending from each end region of the connecting portions 3 as a flat clipping sheet for clipping an outer surface of the rails on each side thereof (as shown in
an upper end region or a lower end region of each of the rail clipping portions 4 is a rail-edge clipping portion 5 as a curved clipping sheet for clipping an upper surface or a lower surface of the rails respectively on each side thereof (as shown in
there is a through hole 6 in the rail clipping portion 4 as a circular hole or a non-circular hole for inserting of a bolt.
rail clipping portions 4 each extending from each end region of the post clipping portion 2 as a flat clipping sheet for clipping an outer surface of the rails on each side thereof(as shown in
an upper end region or a lower end region of each of the rail clipping portions 4 is a rail-edge clipping portion 5 as a curved clipping sheet for clipping an upper surface or a lower surface of the rails respectively on each side thereof (as shown in
there is a through hole 6 in the rail clipping portions 4 as a circular hole or a non-circular hole for inserting of a bolt.
From the embodiments of the fastening clip 1 for attaching rails and posts in a fence structure, inner surfaces of the fastening clips 1 are rough or uneven surfaces (not shown in the figures) for improving attachment to the post surfaces or the rail surfaces (as shown in
A fastening clip 1 of another embodiment for attaching rails and posts in a fence structure is a fastening clip consisting of elements such that each element is connected together as a fastening clip 1 for attaching rails and posts in a fence structure by fastening means, or molded into a fastening clip 1 for attaching rails and posts in a fence structure. Said fastening clip (1) for attaching rails and posts in the fence structure is made of a metal or a nonmetal.
rail clipping portions 4 clip outer surfaces of the rails 8 on each side thereof, and
each through hole 6 is inserted by a bolt 9 having a bolt head 10 on one end and a shank for engagement of a nut 11 on the other end after attaching of rails 8 and post 7 using the fastening clip 1 by
the bolt 9 is in a form of a bar bolt having the bolt head 10 on one end and a shoulder 12 between the bolt head 10 and the shank in which the shoulder 12 has a circular shape or a non-circular shape for engaging with the through hole 6 of the fastening clip 1, and
there is a post cap 13 closed on an upper end of the post 7 for preventing water or other contaminants getting inside the post 7.
rail clipping portions 4 clip an outer surface of the rail 8 on each side thereof, and
each through hole 6 is inserted by a bolt 9 having a bolt head 10 on one end and a shank for engagement of a nut 11 on the other end after the attachment of rails 8 and post 7 using the fastening clip 1 by
the bolt 9 is in a form of a bar bolt having the bolt head 10 on one end and a shoulder 12 between the bolt head 10 and the shank in which the shoulder 12 has a circular shape or a non-circular shape for engaging with the through hole 6 of the fastening clip 1, and
there is a post cap 13 closed on the upper end of the post 7 for preventing water or other contaminants getting inside the post 7.
From the fastening clip for attaching rails and posts in the fence structure and the attachment method of said fastening clip, the attaching rails 8 and posts 7 in a fence structure can be rapidly and easily attached and detached, labor for the attachment is reduced, and the attachment time is less than other attachment methods.
