Claims
- 1. An apparatus for the fluidized cracking of a light and a heavy feedstock, the apparatus comprising:a first contacting conduit defining a discharge outlet at its downstream end; a first feed conduit for delivering a first feedstream to the first contacting conduit; a regenerator conduit for passing catalyst from a regenerator to said first contacting conduit; a blending vessel in direct communication with the discharge outlet of the first contacting conduit; a second contacting conduit defining a catalyst inlet at an upstream end having direct communication with the blending vessel and defining a mixture outlet at its downstream end, said blending vessel having a larger diameter than said second contacting conduit; a second feed conduit for charging a second feedstream to at least one of the blending vessel and the second contacting conduit; a primary catalyst separator for receiving a mixture of catalyst and vapors from the: downstream end of the second contacting conduit; and at least one fluid separator for separating cracked vapors from the second contacting conduit into a light product stream and a heavy product stream.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein an intermediate recovery line communicates with the blending vessel to recover a naphtha product.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first and second contacting conduits comprise risers for the upward transport of catalyst and fluids.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the blending vessel has a larger diameter than the first and second contacting conduits.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1 further including a recycle conduit for passing catalyst from said primary catalyst separator to said blending vessel.
- 6. An apparatus for the fluidized cracking of a light and a heavy feedstock, the apparatus comprising:a first contacting conduit in which a first feedstream is mixed with catalyst, said first contacting conduit defining said discharge outlet at its downstream end; a first feed conduit for delivering a said first feedstream to the first contacting conduit; a blending vessel in direct communication with the discharge outlet of the first contacting conduit; a second contacting conduit defining a catalyst inlet at an upstream end having direct communication with the blending vessel and defining a mixture outlet at its downstream end, said blending vessel having a larger diameter than said second contacting conduit; a second feed conduit for charging a second feedstream to at least one of the blending vessel and the second contacting conduit; and a primary catalyst separator for receiving a mixture of catalyst and vapors from the downstream end of the second contacting conduit.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein an intermediate recovery line communicates with the blending vessel to recover a naphtha product.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein the first and second contacting conduits comprise risers for the upward transport of catalyst and fluids.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein the blending vessel has a larger diameter than the first and second contacting conduits.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein a recycle conduit communicates said primary catalyst separator with said blending vessel.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein a regenerator conduit communicates a regenerator with said first contacting conduit.
- 12. An apparatus for the fluidized cracking of a light and a heavy feedstock, the apparatus comprising:a first contacting conduit defining a discharge outlet at its downstream end; a first feed conduit for delivering a first feedstream to the first contacting conduit; a regenerator conduit communicating a regenerator with said first contacting conduit for passing catalyst from said regenerator to said first contacting conduit; a blending vessel in direct communication with the discharge outlet of the first contacting conduit; a second contacting conduit defining a catalyst inlet at an upstream end having direct communication with the blending vessel and defining a mixture outlet at its downstream end; a second feed conduit for charging a second feedstream to at least one of the blending vessel and the second contacting conduit; a primary catalyst separator for receiving a mixture of catalyst and vapors from the downstream end of the second contacting; and a recycle conduit communicating said primary catalyst separator with said blending vessel for passing catalyst from said primary catalyst separator to said blending vessel.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein an intermediate recovery line communicates with the blending vessel to recover a naphtha product.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the first and second contacting conduits comprise risers for the upward transport of catalyst and fluids.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the blending vessel has a larger diameter than the first and second contacting conduits.
