Claims
- 1. In a method for detecting the presence of a peroxidatively active substance in a sample suspected of containing such a substance wherein the sample is contacted with a chromogen and a hydroperoxide, the improvement wherein the chromogen is a mixture of guaiac and 2,2'-azino-di-(3-ethylbenzyl) thiazoline sulfonic acid (ABTS) in a weight ratio of guaiac to ABTS in the range of 1:5 to 5:1.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the sample is a fecal specimen on a solid test matrix.
