Claims
- 1. A complex of the formula V or VI,
- [X.sub.1 M.sub.1 YZ] (V),
- [X.sub.1 M.sub.1 Y].sup..sym. A.sub.1.sup..crclbar. (VI),
- wherein X.sub.1 is two C.sub.2 -C.sub.12 olefins or one C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 diene, Z is Cl, Br or I, A.sub.1.sup..crclbar. is the anion of an oxyacid or complex acid, M.sub.1 is Rh or Ir, and Y is a compound of the formula I ##STR6## wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by 1 to 3 C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy groups; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical and are C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl- or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy-substituted C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl, or phenyl which is substituted by one to three identical or different members selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, --SiR.sub.4 R.sub.5 R.sub.6, halogen, --SO.sub.3 M, --CO.sub.2 M, --PO.sub.3 M, --NR.sub.7 R.sub.8 and --[.sup..sym. NR.sub.7 R.sub.8 R.sub.9 ]X.sup..crclbar. ; or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are different and are C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl- or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy-substituted C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by one to three identical or different members selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, --SiR.sub.4 R.sub.5 R.sub.6, halogen, --SO.sub.3 M, --CO.sub.2 M, --PO.sub.3 M.sub.2, --NR.sub.7 R.sub.8 and --[.sup..sym. NR.sub.7 R.sub.8 R.sub.9 ]X.sup..crclbar. ; or the group --PR.sub.2 R.sub.3 is a radical of the formula II ##STR7## and R.sub.4, R.sub.5 R.sub.6 are each independently of one another C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl or phenyl, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are H, C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl, phenyl or R.sub.7 and R.sub.8, taken together, are tetramethylene, pentamethylene or 3-oxa-1,5-pentylene, R.sub.9 is H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, M is H or an alkali metal, X.sup..crclbar. is the anion of a monobasic acid, and * is a stereogenic carbon atom, in the form of the racemate or diastereoisomer or mixture of diastereoisomers.
- 2. A complex according to claim 1 which is a complex of formula VI.
- 3. A complex according to claim 1, wherein X.sub.1 is two ethylene, 1,5-hexadiene, 1,5-cyclooctadiene or norbornadiene.
- 4. A complex according to claim 1, wherein Z is Cl or Br.
- 5. A complex according to claim 1, wherein A.sub.1.sup..crclbar. is selected from the group consisting of ClO.sub.4.sup..crclbar., FSO.sub.3.sup..crclbar., CH.sub.3 SO.sub.3.sup..crclbar., CF.sub.3 SO.sub.3.sup..crclbar., BF.sub.4.sup..crclbar., PF.sub.6.sup..crclbar., SbCl.sub.6.sup..crclbar., AsF.sub.6.sup..crclbar. and SbF.sub.6.sup..crclbar..
- 6. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 as alkyl is linear.
- 7. A complex according to claim 6, wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl.
- 8. A complex according to claim 7, wherein R.sub.1 is methyl or ethyl.
- 9. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 is phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by 1 or 2 C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy groups.
- 10. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 as alkyl are linear or branched.
- 11. A complex according to claim 10, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl.
- 12. A complex according to claim 10, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical and are isopropyl or tert-butyl.
- 13. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 as cycloalkyl contain 5 to 8 ring carbon atoms.
- 14. A complex according to claim 13, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 as cycloalkyl are cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl.
- 15. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 as substituted phenyl are selected from the group consisting of 2-methylphen-1-yl, 3-methylphen-1-yl, 4-methylphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-ethylphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-isopropylphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-tert-butylphen-1-yl, 2-methoxyphen-1-yl, 3-methoxyphen-1-yl, 4-methoxyphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-ethoxyphen-1-yl, 4-trimethylsilylphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-fluorophen-1-yl, 2,4-difluorophen-1-yl, 2- or 4-chlorophen-1-yl, 2,4-dichlorophen-1-yl, 2,4-dimethylphen-1-yl, 3,5-dimethylphen-1-yl, 2-methoxy-4-methylphen-1-yl, 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxyphen-1-yl, 3,5-dimethyl-4-(dimethylamino)phen-1-yl, 2- or 4-aminophen-1-yl, 2- or 4-methylaminophen-1-yl, 2- or 4-(dimethylamnio)phen-1-yl, 2- or 4-SO.sub.3 H-phen-1-yl, 2- or 4-SO.sub.3 Na-phen-1-yl, 2- or 4-[.sup..sym. NH.sub.3 Cl.sup..crclbar. ]phen-1-yl, 3,4,5-trimethylphen-1-yl and 2,4,6-trimethylphen-1-yl.
- 16. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical substituents selected from the group consisting of cyclohexyl, 2- or 4-methylphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-methoxyphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-(dimethylamino)phen-1-yl, 3,5-dimethyl-4-(dimethylamino)phen-1-yl and 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxyphen-1-yl.
- 17. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are different and R.sub.2 is phenyl and R.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of cyclohexyl, 2- or 4-methylphen-1-yl, 2- or 4-methoxyphen-1-yl, 4-(dimethylamino)phen-1-yl, 3,5-dimethyl-4-(dimethylamino)phen-1-yl, 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxyphen-1-yl and 4-tert-butyl-phen-1-yl.
- 18. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical substituents and are cyclohexyl.
- 19. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical substituents and are tert-butyl or o-anisyl.
- 20. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.2 is phenyl and R.sub.3 is o-anisyl.
- 21. A complex according to claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 is methyl and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each cyclohexyl.
