Claims
- 1. A retainer member for securing strength members extending longitudinally through the center of a plurality of optical fibers in a fiber optic cable against rearward movement in a bore within a fiber optic connector comprising:
- a supporting member disposed within said bore, said supporting member having a plurality of spaced slots supporting said optical fibers in said bore within said fiber optic connector, said supporting member having an opening extending therethrough for receiving forward ends of said strength members; and
- a confining member adapted for insertion into said opening in said supporting member to tightly confine said forward ends of said strength members against rearward movement in said bore within said fiber optic connector.
