Claims
- 1. A molded fibrous pipe wrap insulation comprising a body of fibers of inorganic fiber-forming material, an organic binder in the body of fibers and the organic binder cured, an inner surface region of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being further impregnated with hybrid binder comprising organic and inorganic bonding materials and the hybrid binder cured.
- 2. A molded pipe wrap insulation comprising a core fashioned of layers of fibers of inorganic material, a hybrid binder of organic and inorganic bonding materials in the layers of fibers of the core, an outer layer of glass fibers on said core, and an organic binder in the fibers of said outer fibrous layer.
- 3. A molded pipe wrap insulation comprising layers of fibers of inorganic fiber-forming material, an outer layer of the pipe wrap insulation being of amorphous glass fibers and containing an organic binder, the inner surface region of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being partially impregnated with a hybrid binder comprising organic and inorganic bonding materials.
- 4. A molded pipe wrap insulation comprising layers of fibers of inorganic fiber-forming material, an outer layer of the pipe wrap insulation being of amorphous glass fibers and containing an organic binder, the other layers of the pipe wrap insulation containing an organic binder, the inner surface region of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being partially impregnated with a hybrid binder comprising organic and inorganic bonding materials.
- 5. A molded fibrous pipe wrap insulation comprising a body of fibers of inorganic fiber-forming material, an organic binder in the body of fibers, and an inner surface region of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being impregnated with an inorganic binder.
- 6. A molded pipe wrap insulation comprising a core fashioned or layers of fibers of inorganic material, an inorganic binder in the layers of fibers of the core, an outer layer of glass fibers on said core, and an organic binder in the fibers of said outer fibrous layer.
- 7. A molded pipe wrap insulation comprising layers of fibers of inorganic fiber-forming material, an outer layer of the pipe wrap insulation being of amorphous glass fibers and containing an organic binder, the inner surface region of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being impregnated with an inorganic binder.
- 8. A molded fibrous pipe wrap insulation comprising layers of fibers of inorganic fiber-forming material, an inner layer of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being impregnated with an inorganic binder, and an outer layer of the fibers of the pipe wrap insulation being impregnated with an organic binder.
