Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of display devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a figurine display cabinet device that allows a user to display a plurality of dolls, action figures, figurines, etc., in a vertical orientation and behind a protective door of the device. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.

BACKGROUND

Individuals who collect dolls, action figures, figurines, etc., typically have deep sentimental and monetary connections to their collections. As a result, said individuals typically seek to store said collections in a protective place. This is due to the fact that if left in the open, the collection can become destroyed by children or otherwise damaged. However, said protective places typically shield the collection from view, which may be undesirable for some collectors. In addition, children who play with dolls, action figures, figurines, etc., may leave said items throughout a home, making the home messy and undesirable.

Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a figurine display cabinet device. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a figurine display cabinet device that allows a collector of dolls, action figures, and figurines to display their collection. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a figurine display cabinet device that allows a collector of dolls, action figures, and figurines to display their collection while keeping the collection protected. Furthermore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a figurine display cabinet device that allows children's dolls, action figures, figurines, and other toys to be stored in a singular location.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a figurine display cabinet device. The device is comprised of a body with an interior space with at least one shelf and at least one fastener, wherein the interior space is protected by at least one door that is preferably transparent. The interior space offers a user at least one repositionable shelf and repositionable fastener that can be used to display a doll, action figure, figurine, etc., in a vertical orientation on the shelf.

In this manner, the figurine display cabinet device of the present invention accomplishes all the foregoing objectives and provides a device that allows a collector of dolls, action figures, and figurines to display their collection while keeping the collection protected via the door. Furthermore, the device can also be used to store children's dolls, action figures, figurines, and other toys in a singular location.

SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a figurine display cabinet device. The device is comprised of a body that is preferably rectangular in shape with a top wall and generally parallel bottom wall, a pair of generally parallel side walls, and a back wall and at least one parallel door. The device is designed to allow a user to store a plurality of figurines such as, but not limited to, dolls, action figures, toys, etc., in a protected and visually appealing manner.

The interior space of the body is comprised of at least one shelf that may be repositioned at different heights within the interior space to accommodate figurines of different heights/sizes. More specifically, the interior surface of each side wall is preferably comprised of at least one receiving point that receives at least one fastener of the shelf. In the preferred embodiment of the device, the interior surface of each side wall has a plurality of receiving points in vertical alignment to allow the fastener of the shelf to be placed into each receiving point to allow the shelf to achieve various shelf heights.

The front surface of the back wall is also comprised of at least one fastener. The fastener receives at least one figurine such that the figurine appears to stand vertically. In one embodiment, the fastener is comprised of a locking fastener that can only be unlocked via a code or key. This prevents unauthorized users (i.e., children) from removing the figurines without permission.

The body is also comprised of at least one door that attaches to the side wall (or other portion of the body) via at least one hinge. In a further embodiment, the door may be comprised of at least one lock (of any type known in the art) that secures the door to the body. In another embodiment, the device is comprised of two doors, wherein the lock secures the first door to the second door.

The interior space and/or shelf may also be comprised of at least one light to illuminate figurines within the device. The light is preferably an LED light that can illuminate at least one color, at least one brightness level, and at least one illumination pattern. The color, brightness level, illumination pattern, etc., of each light may be selected via at least one button on the device.

The present invention is also comprised of a method of using the device. First, a device is provided comprised of a body with an interior space with at least one shelf and at least one fastener, and at least one door attached to the body via at least one hinge. Then, at least one figurine can be placed inside the interior space and secured within the fastener such that it can be displayed.

A second method of using the device is comprised of providing a device comprised of a body with an interior space with at least one shelf and at least one fastener, and at least one door attached to the body via at least one hinge. Then, a user places the shelf within the body at a desired height, wherein at least one fastener of the shelf engages at least one receiving point of the interior surface of a sidewall. Next, at least one figurine can be placed inside the interior space and secured within the fastener such that it can be displayed. Optionally, the fastener can be locked via a code or a key to secure the figure. Then, the door(s) can be closed and at least one lock can be used to lock the door. Finally, a user can press a button to activate at least one light within the body to illuminate the figurines.

Accordingly, the figurine display cabinet device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides a device that allows a collector of dolls, action figures, and figurines to display their collection while keeping the collection protected via the door. Furthermore, the device can also be used to store children's dolls, action figures, figurines, and other toys in a singular location. In this manner, the figurine display cabinet device provides a solution to said problems described supra.
