Claims
- 1. A strobe light emission apparatus, comprising:
- at least two strobe light emitters, each light emitter emitting light having a different color temperature;
- a single accumulator that accumulates charge for driving all of said light emitters;
- a color temperature measuring device that measures an ambient color temperature;
- a common photometric device for measuring a total combined quantity of light emitted by said at least two strobe light emitters;
- an emission controller that intermittently and independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters, in a ratio determined by a target color temperature corresponding to said ambient color temperature, until one of (i) said total combined quantity of light emitted by said at least two strobe light emitters reaches a target quantity; and (ii) an elapsed time reaches a predetermined synchronized shutter time.
- 2. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1,
- wherein said emission controller independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters such that each fractional pulsed light emission from one of said at least two strobe light emitters is followed by a fractional pulsed light emission from a different one of said at least two strobe light emitters.
- 3. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1,
- wherein said emission controller independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters such that a fractional pulsed light emission from one of said at least two strobe light emitters is followed by a sequential group of fractional pulsed light emissions from a different one of said at least two strobe light emitters.
- 4. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 3,
- wherein said emission controller independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters such that a sequential group of fractional pulsed light emissions from one of said at least two strobe light emitters is followed by a sequential group of fractional pulsed light emissions from a different one of said at least two strobe light emitters.
- 5. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1,
- wherein said emission controller independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters such that said subsequent fractional pulsed light emissions of each of said at least two strobe light emitters increase in duration.
- 6. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 5,
- wherein said emission controller calculates the increase in duration of said subsequent fractional pulsed light emissions such that said fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters remain in said ratio determined by said target color temperature corresponding to said ambient color temperature.
- 7. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1,
- wherein said emission controller precedes said fractional pulsed light emissions from said at least two strobe light emitters with at least one red-eye reduction pulsed light emission from a predetermined one of said at least two strobe light emitters.
- 8. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1, said common photometric device comprising:
- a photometric sensor for receiving incident light;
- an integrating circuit for integrating said incident light;
- an comparative circuit, having a proper integral value voltage input corresponding to said target quantity, for determining whether said integrated incident light, corresponding to said total combined quantity of light emitted by said at least two strobe light emitters, has reached said target quantity and for sending a signal to said emission controller when said integrated incident light has reached said target quantity.
- 9. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1, said color temperature measuring device comprising:
- a color measuring sensor including a plurality of photoelectric transducer elements of differing spectral sensitivities.
- 10. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1, said single accumulator comprising:
- a condenser sharing a parallel connection to electrodes of each of said at least two strobe light emitters.
- 11. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 1, at least one of said at least two strobe light emitters including a filter defining a color temperature distribution.
- 12. A strobe light emission apparatus, comprising:
- at least two strobe light emitters, each light emitter emitting light having a different color temperature;
- a light emission switcher that independently starts and stops each of said at least two strobe light emitters to emit pulses of light;
- a single accumulator that accumulates charge for driving all of said light emitters;
- an emission controller that triggers said light emission switcher to start and stop each of said light emitters to repeatedly emit fractional pulses of light such that a combination of fractional pulses of light emitted from all of said at least two strobe emitters has a target color temperature.
- 13. The strobe light emission apparatus according to claim 12, said light emission switcher comprising:
- at least one transistor connected to each of said at least two strobe light emitters for starting and stopping emission of light from each of said at least two strobe light emitters;
- at least one diode connected to each of said at least two strobe light emitters for enabling independent operation of each of said at least one transistor; and
- a trigger circuit for generating trigger signals to excite said at least two strobe light emitters and allowing starting and stopping of emission of light from said at least two strobe light emitters.
- 14. A strobe light emission apparatus, comprising:
- at least two strobe light emitters, each light emitter emitting light having a different color temperature;
- a color temperature measuring device that measures an ambient color temperature;
- an emission controller that independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters, alternating and repeating said fractional pulsed light emissions between said at least two strobe light emitters such that the combined light emissions from said at least two strobe light emitters are of said ambient color temperature.
- 15. A strobe light emission apparatus, comprising:
- at least two strobe light emitters, each light emitter emitting light having a different color temperature;
- a color temperature measuring device that measures an ambient color temperature;
- a common photometric device for measuring a cumulative quantity of light emitted by said at least two strobe light emitters;
- an emission controller intervening between said common photometric device and said at least two strobe light emitters that (i) independently starts each of said at least two strobe light emitters; (ii) sends intermittent quench signals to each of said at least two strobe light emitters to fractionally pulse light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters in a ratio of light quantity corresponding to said ambient color temperature; and (iii) stops each of said at least two strobe light emitters from emitting light when a sufficient number of fractional pulses has been sent from each of said at least two strobe light emitters such that said cumulative quantity of light reaches a target quantity at said ambient color temperature.
- 16. A still video camera, comprising:
- at least two strobe light emitters, each light emitter emitting light having a different color temperature;
- a color temperature measuring device that measures an ambient color temperature;
- an emission controller that independently starts and stops fractional pulsed light emissions from each of said at least two strobe light emitters, alternating and repeating said fractional pulsed light emissions between said at least two strobe light emitters such that the combined light emissions from said at least two strobe light emitters are of said ambient color temperature; and
- an image photographing system for converting a photographing object image, including light from said combined light emissions, to image signals.
