Claims
- 1. A film formed on a substrate for cutting off heat rays by coating the substrate with a coating liquid and heating the coating liquid, the coating liquid comprising a dispersion prepared by dispersing fine particles of at least one boride selected from the group consisting of LaB6, PrB6, NdB6, CeB6, GdB6, TbB6, DyB6, HoB6, YB6, SmB6, EuB6, ErB6, TmB6, YbB6, LuB6, SrB6, and HfB2 in a resinous binder, or a binder containing one or more metal oxides selected from the group consisting of silicon, zirconium, titanium and aluminum oxides.
- 2. A film as set forth in claim 1, wherein said dispersion further contains fine particles of at least one of ruthenium and iridium oxides.
- 3. A film as set forth in claim 1, wherein said dispersion further contains fine particles of at least one of indium tin oxide and antimony tin oxide.
- 4. A film as set forth in claim 1, 2, or 3 having a maximum transmittance of light at a wavelength of 400 to 700 nm and a minimum transmittance at a wavelength of 700 to 1800 nm with a difference of at least 15% therebetween.
- 5. A film as set forth in claim 1, 2, or 3 having a surface resistivity of at least 106 Ω/□.
- 6. A film as set forth in claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein said dispersion is prepared by dispersing said particles in said binder uniformly by using a bead, ball or sand mill, or an ultrasonic disperser.
- 7. A film as set forth in claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein said substrate is spin, spray, dip, roll or flow coated, or screen printed with said coating liquid.
