Claims
- 1. A filmic packaging material having a teartape adhered thereto wherein the teartape is molecularly oriented in a longitudinal direction and comprises a base film formed from an oriented thermoplastic plastic material coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive composition by which the teartape is adhered to the packaging material.
- 2. A filmic packaging material as claimed in claim 1 wherein the base film of the teartape has a thickness of from about 20 to about 100 microns and a width of from about 1 to about 10 mm.
- 3. A filmic packaging material as claimed in claim 1 wherein the base film of the teartape is formed of a polyolefin.
- 4. A filmic packaging material as claimed in claim 1, wherein a surface of the base film carries printed matter in a manner such that the printed matter is readable through the pressure sensitive adhesive composition and the packaging material.
