Claims
- 1. A fluid filtering device comprising:
- an elongated housing having an open top, an interior wall and defining an interior chamber,
- said housing having an inlet and an outlet open to said chamber,
- a first elongated and tubular strainer secured to said housing within said chamber so that said first strainer is spaced inwardly from said interior wall of said housing,
- a second elongated and tubular strainer contained within and spaced inwardly from said first strainer,
- means for securing said strainers together at their ends most spaced from said open end of said housing,
- a filter assembly removably insertable between said strainers through said open housing top whereupon said filter assembly is positioned between said inlet and said outlet said filter assembly comprising a toroidal filter bag having an outer periphery and an inner periphery,
- means for securing the outer periphery of said bag to the end of said first strainer closest to said open housing top,
- means for securing the inner periphery of said bag to the end of said second strainer closest to said open housing top,
- a cover, and
- means for detachably securing said cover across said open end of said housing.
- 2. The invention as defined in claim 1 and comprising a normally closed, pressure responsive valve secured across the interior of said second strainer.
