Claims
- 1. A ventilation system comprising:
a duct configured to channel exhaust from one location to another location; a prefilter configured to remove one or more substances from the exhaust; and a filter including a plurality of porous inorganic particles, the filter being configured to receive the exhaust from the prefilter and remove additional substances from the exhaust.
- 2. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein the particles are between about 0.25 mm and 4 mm in size, the porosity of the particles is between 30% to 70%, and the bed depth of the packed bed is about 6.35 mm.
- 3. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein the prefilter comprises two plates, each plate comprising a plurality of openings which are louvered and each plate also comprising an open area of about 30% to about 50%.
