Claims
- 1. A screening system comprising
- a resiliently mounted frame;
- a low frequency vibratory drive coupled to the frame;
- a screen extending across the frame;
- a high frequency drive rigidly coupled with the screen; and
- a resilient mounting on the frame, the screen being supported by the resilient mounting on the frame and the high frequency drive being solely supported by the resilient mounting on the frame and displaced from the frame.
- 2. The screening system of claim 1, the resilient mounting being a gasket.
- 3. The screening system of claim 1, further comprising
- a bracket mounted to the resilient mounting and coupled to the screen and supporting the screen.
- 4. The screening system of claim 3, the screen including a periphery with a screen frame, the bracket being coupled to the screen frame at the periphery.
- 5. The screening system of claim 1, further comprising
- a bracket mounted to the resilient mounting and coupled to the screen, and to the high frequency drive.
- 6. The screening system of claim 5, the bracket being rigidly coupled to the screen and the high frequency drive.
- 7. The screening system of claim 6, the bracket being the support for the screen.
- 8. The screening system of claim 7, the high frequency drive being outwardly of the frame.
- 9. The screening system of claim 1, the screen being stiffened as to bending to have predominantly plate-like properties as measured at 20,000 Hz.
- 10. The screening system of claim 9, the high frequency drive having a range of vibration above about 10,000 Hz.
- 11. The screening system of claim 1 further comprising
- multiple said high frequency drives.
- 12. A screening system comprising
- a resiliently mounted frame;
- a low frequency vibratory drive coupled to the frame;
- a screen extending across the frame;
- a bracket rigidly fixed to the screen;
- a high frequency drive mounted solely to the bracket to vibrate the screen above about 10,000 Hz and displaced from the frame; and
- resilient mounting between the bracket and the resiliently mounted frame.
- 13. The screening system of claim 12 further comprising multiple high frequency drives.
