In general, people clean and dry their rectal and vaginal areas using toilet paper or wet ones placed directly on their bare finger/fingers. Other people use their bare fingers without toilet paper but with water sprayed upward from inside a toilet: a bidet towards the rectal area and the bare fingers would do the wiping and cleaning. In most third world countries the people use water from an external sprayer, hose or water pot in one hand directed downward towards the other hand doing the wiping and cleaning the rectum or vagina with the bare fingers. In all cases the skin of the hands and fingers are placed in direct contact with the body excretions causing bacteria and infections to be deposited on to the fingers and nails and transferred to the person's body through food intake or to other persons through hand shaking or simply serving with bare hands causing the spread of infections and disease even after hand washing.
The present finger glove invention is designed such that when worn on one or more fingers it will prevent direct contact between the body excretions and the skin of bare fingers when cleaning the rectal or vaginal areas and be disposed off with a simple flick by the thumb without any skin touching the excretions. The said finger glove will therefore eliminate the transfer of any infections or diseases to other body parts or to other persons.
Insofar as I am aware, no finger glove is used for cleaning and disinfecting rectal and vaginal is made to fit loosely on a finger, has one of a variety and combination of tightening and loosening means and devices on one end, and can be removed with a flick by the thumb of the same hand to dispose of or flush down the toilet or the trash.
While a particular embodiment has been chosen to illustrate the invention, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications can be made therein without departing from the scope of the invention. The present invention utilizes the flick-off finger glove to wipe the rectal and vaginal areas while preventing direct contact between the excretions and a person's fingers, skin, and nails and eliminating transfer of disease and infections. A person can wear and place a single finger glove on one finger or a two finger glove that is sized to fit on two fingers, or in another version three fingers to suit their comfort. A person can use the said finger glove to wipe their rectal and vaginal areas after excreting with toilet paper or wet ones or the finger glove alone utilizing water spray from outside or inside the toilet. When a person has finished cleaning his/her rectal area they can dry the area by placing toilet paper on the said finger glove, not on bare fingers, and then have to only use the thumb to easily flick the said finger glove off the finger or fingers and dispose of said finger glove in the trash or if flushable down the toilet. No part of the hand, fingers or thumb will be exposed to any feces or body excretions at all, preventing and eliminating the spread of disease and infection
My invention relates to personal hygiene, in particular it relates to a rectal and vaginal wiping, cleaning, drying, and disinfecting with a tightening and untightening device and a method associated with the device.
The said finger glove (11) is of a hollow tubular shape with one closed-end and one open-end to easily insert the finger (16) in. The main body of the said finger glove is of flexible non permeable material sized wider than a finger. The said open-end has an integral expandable band (12) around the periphery sized in a way to slide easily over any of the fore fingers (16) when putting on and to fit snugly on the bottom of any forefinger to provide adequate friction preventing the said finger glove (11) from sliding off the finger (16) during wiping. The body of the said finger glove (11) fits loosely over the finger leaving a gap (18) between it and the finger (16) to allow easy wearing, and removing and providing larger surface area for cleaning.
In one embodiment the said band (12) will have tear lines (13) across it that will easily split up (21) when little pressure is exerted on the said band (12) by the thumb (23) tearing the said band (21) and pushing the said finger-glove (11) to slide easily off the finger (16) without the hand (22) or the thumb (23) touching the exterior body of the said finger glove (11) or the excretions and without having to use other fingers or the second hand to dispose of the said finger glove into the toilet or trash.
The said finger glove (11) furthermore, can have a smooth surface (14) or rough surface (15), or both and can be scented and sanitized. It can be made of disposable or biodegradable and flushable material. Furthermore, the said finger glove can have a wet towel or similar tissue as an integral exterior surface. The said finger glove can be placed in dispensers where a person can insert a finger to wear automatically and it can be easily packaged for on the go people.
Scoon in his U.S. Pat. No. 10,166,008 (2019) Shows a full glove with specific surface finishes for cleaning rectal and vaginal areas. However, this device will be too cumbersome for personal use to handle the small areas of the rectum and the vagina and difficulty in disposing of without the use of the second hand.
Yang in his U.S. Pat. No. 7,552,501B2 (2009)—Finger Wipe with Improved Seam-shows a finger glove that is basically a finger wipe for applying gel on the teeth to soothe the teeth and does not have a device to hold it in place on the finger. It is designed with thick seams in order to be flat when placed on the teeth while applying cleaning or whitening materials.
McDevitt in his U.S. Pat. No. 6,647,549 (2003) shows a finger glove with one end open without any device to secure the glove on the finger except by friction and made mainly for the index finger for dental purposes.
Tulloch in his U.S. Pat. No. 201,201,51652 A1—Finger Jacket shows a finger glove that fits tightly on the finger and a fastening device at the open end to secure it on the finger. This finger glove has to fit very tightly on the finger and needs to be secured so it does not slip when playing sports. It needs the second hand to remove it and it is not disposable or flushable.
When seated on a toilet, a person would wear a finger glove, usually on the middle finger, but can wear a two finger glove on the ring and the middle fingers (17) and even a three finger glove to include the index finger (22). In all cases the said band (12) would fit snugly on the bottom of one or all the fingers while the body of the said finger glove fits loosely over the whole finger in order to be disposed of easily with a flick by the thumb. The person can use the said finger glove with toilet paper placed on the said finger glove to clean the excretions and dry the rectum area. Or without toilet paper but with a water sprayer and proceed to dry the rectal area with toilet paper placed on the said finger glove not on the bare finger as is commonly done. Since the said band (12) fits snugly on the bottom of the finger it prevents any water or excretions from getting inside the said finger glove (11) thus protecting the finger from any infections.
When the wiping and drying of the rectum or the vagina is complete the person can simply use his or her thumb (23), place it on the end of the said band (12), and push outward to split the said tear lines (21) on the said band (12) and easily flick the said finger glove (11) off the finger into the toilet or the trash.
In modem countries people use toilet paper on bare fingers to wipe body excretions from rectal and vaginal areas but in many other poorer countries people commonly wipe using their bare fingers only but usually utilizing water from a water pot or bidet. In all cases there is direct contact between excretions and the fingers and therefore, disease and infections will be transferred from the fingers to other parts of the body and to other persons via food intake, hand shakes, or other means.
One of the most important advantages of the said finger glove is preventing direct contact between the skin of the finger or fingers and the excretions when wiping the rectal or vaginal area therefore eliminating the transfer of diseases and infections from the fingers to the person himself or to other people. Another advantage is that the said finger-glove is easily disposed of with a flick by the thumb directly into the toilet when made of biodegradable material or directly in the trash without any bare finger, thumb, hand, or skin touching the body of the finger glove or the remnants of the excretions. The said finger glove will prevent many infectious diseases from being transferred from one person to many others through the fingers and hand reducing the number of people getting sick and going to hospitals, cuts loss of work hours and income and money spent on medicine apart from wasting doctors' time. Another bonus is it will reduce the use of toilet paper and wet ones.
Another advantage of the said finger glove is that it is made of flexible and non-permeable material and is disposable directly in the trash or made of biodegradable and flushable material that can be discarded directly into the toilet and can be made of recyclable material to protect the environment.
The said finger glove can be made in different sizes or one size to fit the middle finger, index or ring finger. Another embodiment of the said finger glove will be in the form of a two or three finger glove to suit the users' habit and comfort. All embodiments of the said finger glove can be easily flicked off by the thumb. When marketing, the said finger glove can be folded to fit in a compact small package for people on the go and they can be stored in dispensers for restroom users to insert their finger/s to slip-on one or more finger gloves.
