Abstract
An application glove is provided. The application glove is dimensioned and adapted to receive one or more fingers of a human wearer in one or more finger stalls, respectively. Each finger stall provides an outward-facing surface at or adjacent to the fingertip of the human wearer. The outward-facing surface provides a detachable fastener system. The present invention provides a plurality of applicators, each adaptor providing a different type of application surface, and each applicator adapted to removably attached to the detachable fastener system so that the fingertip of the human wearer may serve as the underlying instruments, intrinsically enabling the nimble dexterity of the finger of the user in utilizing the preselected applicator of the plurality of applicators.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to gloves used in the areas of cleaning, construction, painting, polishing and other uses, and, more particularly, to these types of gloves providing one or more finger stalls having an applicator disposed on each outer surface thereof.

Currently these types of devices do not use the precision dexterity of the fingertip through providing these gloves with a finger portion having an abrasive element disposed on an outer surface thereof. Therefore, these current types of utility devices cannot provide precise applications to small surface areas that need to be attended to with fine and delicate care for cleaning, painting, construction purposes, or the like. Rather currently the only utensils are paint brushes, sandpaper, microfiber, etc., which intrinsically include an extended object between the fingers of the user and the work area, making delicate, precise applications unduly challenging.

As can be seen, there is a need for utility, cleaning, construction, etc., gloves providing a finger portion having an attachment surface for interchangeably removably attaching a variety of applicator types. With the preselected applicator disposed on an outer surface of the finger stall, delicate, precise cleaning application over a small work area is facilitated. In short, the present invention, colloquially known as “The Finishing Touch Glove”, provides a reusable, interchangeable, multipurpose utility finger touch glove adapted for carpentry, construction, painting, staining, masonry, tiling, and the like. By affixing, attaching, or otherwise connecting a hook and loop fastening system near the distal tips of the finger stalls of reusable gloves (manufactured of all types of materials such as, but not limited to: cloth, cotton, rubber, polymers, etc.) the finger stalls can now fully engage hard to reach corners, cracks, and crevasses for all industrial, commercial, and household purposes by attaching a cleaning, painting, sanding, or construction material to a free-standing, interchangeable component of the hook and loop fastening system.

By re-purposing the concept behind touch-screen technology and applying this concept to commercial, industrial, and household applications, the present invention provides the end-user the most effective method of addressing small surface areas, and difficult-to-reach cracks, corners, and crevasses, by optimizing the dexterity of the human finger while protecting the finger through a reusable glove. Therefore, the present invention is an improvement upon existing reusable gloves by enabling the finger stall(s) to now be used as instruments, tools, or other types of utensils, through the use of the adjoined, or otherwise affixed, hook and loop fastening system to the finger stalls of the glove, while the other portion of the hook and loop fastening system being adhered to free-standing interchangeable component that now make the finger stall(s) functional instrument(s).

In other words, once the free-standing component removable engages the hook and loop fastening system, the reusable glove, the finger stall(s) of the reusable glove are now functional utensil(s), tool(s), instrument(s), etc. adapted with one or more of a variety of interchangeable applicator surfaces.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated modes of carrying out exemplary embodiments of the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.

Broadly, an embodiment of the present invention provides a glove portion dimensioned and adapted to receive one or more fingers of a human wearer in one or more finger stalls, respectively.

Referring to FIGS. 1 through 5, the present invention may include a glove portion 12 dimensioned and adapted to receive one or more fingers of a human user 10 in one or more finger stalls 40, respectively. Along an outward-facing surface 16 of each applicable finger stall 40 a hook and loop fastening system 50 may be adhered thereto. The present invention may also include an interchangeable applicator 14 adapted to removably attach to the hook and loop fastening system 50.

The hook and loop fastening system 50 may include a hook portion 20 and a loop component 22, the component 20 and 22 adapted to removably mate. The hook component 20 may be adhered to the outward-facing surface 16, wherein the hook portion 21 of the hook component 20 is outward-facing. The hook component 20 may provide an adhesive portion 19 for adhering to the outward-facing surface 16. The adhesive portion 19 may include adhesive such as glue or the like. Alternatively, the hook component 20 may be joined to the outward-facing surface 16 of the finger stall by stitching 26 or other joining techniques, so long as the connection between the hook portion 20 and said outward-facing surface 16 functions in accordance with the present invention as described herein. The outward-facing surface 16 may be adapted to be at or adjacent to the finger tip of the wearer 10 of the finger stall 40.

It should be understood by those skilled in the art that the use of directional terms such as outward or the like are used in relation to the illustrative embodiments as they are depicted in the figures, the outward direction being directed “outward” (or away) from the surface of the finger stall 40 on the outside of the glove 12 (the outward-facing surface 16), opposite of the wearer's finger 10, shown in the corresponding figures.

The loop component 22 may adhere to a surface of the applicator 14, wherein the loop portion 23 of the loop component 22 is outward-facing when adhered to the applicator 14. The loop component 22 may provide an adhesive portion 25 for adhering to the applicator 14. In certain embodiments, the adhesive portion 25 may be integrated with the applicator 14, so that each interchangeable applicator 14 is joined to the loop component 22 for removably attaching to the hook component 20. The adhesive portion 25 may include adhesive such as glue or the like.

The applicator 14 may include outward-facing application surface 24 providing, in different embodiments, but not limited to, sandpaper 28, steel wool 30, bristles, sanding sheets, trim painter, painting and/or staining sponge and/or foam, steel and/or copper, microfiber cleaning cloth, or the like.

A method of using the present invention may include the following. The glove 12 disclosed above may be provided. A user 10 may slide a finger into each finger stall 40 providing the hook and loop fastening system 50. Then the user 10 may removably attached the preselected applicator 14 thereto. The objective of the present invention is that by changing the various types of applicators 14 that comprise the free-standing portion engageable to the hook and loop fastening system 50, the glove 12 now provides the consumer a multi-functional ability to address many carpentry, construction, painting and staining, tiling, and cleaning needs geared to applying said various types of application surfaces 24 to small surface areas 18 (such as corners, cracks and crevasses areas) by enabling the finger stall(s) 40 of the glove 12 to serve as the underlying tools, instruments, utensils, etc., intrinsically enabled with the nimble dexterity of the finger of the user 10. As such, the end user 10 will be able to achieve their end goal more effectively and efficiently through the use of this invention by providing the greatest degree of precision through the use of their finger(s).

It should be understood, of course, that the foregoing relates to exemplary embodiments of the invention and that modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims.
