Invention relates to a firing system using a gas piston instead of trigger spring providing firing by air released after hit of air outlet valve needle in pre-charged pneumatic (PCP rifles requiring high speed of outlet and allowing achievement of outlet speeds and firing numbers required by use of lever preventing at once release of air in the tube and giving high speed during firing.
In the state of the art, when setting mechanism in pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) rifles, cocking lever drives hammer and provides compression of spring therein. When trigger is pressed, released hammer hits the air outlet valve needle with the energy gained by hammer spring and air is released from tube and the released air provides firing.
In the known embodiment in the state of art, hammer springs in pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) rifles are helical springs. The springs cause occurrence of some problems. The energy gained post hammer spring compression may be inadequate to reach the desired high outlet speeds. Spring thickness may be increased to enhance spring energy. However, in case of increase of spring thickness, setting operation gets difficult because of inadequate distance required for compression of spring in mechanism where spring runs.
A second problem is the instability of muzzle velocity. After certain time of use of rifle, because of fatigue of the spring used therein, muzzle velocity shows decrease in outlet speed and even rifle fails to work.
Purpose of the invention is to achieve desired high outlet speed by gaining required compression energy by use of gas piston instead of helical spring used as hammer spring and by help of lever arm.
Another purpose of the invention is to eliminate the problems that might occur because of fatigue of spring after use of rifle for a certain period of time.
Required compression energy gained by use of gas piston is not adequate for achievement of desired outlet speed alone. When trigger is pressed, hammer is driven and hits the air outlet valve and firing is conducted by the air released from the tube but hit of hammer directly onto needle is not adequate for achievement desired high outlet speeds. A part functioning as lever is placed before air outlet valve needle for this. Thus hammer hits this part and increase force transmitted to needle and thus required outlet speed is achieved.
Gas piston and lever arm developed in order to achieve the purpose of the invention are shown in the figures.
The figures are as follows:
