Claims
- 1. A fishing lure comprising:
an elastic member; a first securing member attached to the elastic member and attachable to fishing line; and a second securing member attached to the elastic member and directly removably fastenable to a fishing lure.
- 2. The fishing apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a slidable chamber overlapping the first securing member whereby the chamber may be slid away from the first securing member to secure the first securing member to the fishing line, but slid back over the first securing member to conceal the first securing member.
- 3. The fishing apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a balance point weight removably attachable along the second securing member.
- 4. The fishing apparatus of claim 2 further comprising a balance point weight removably attachable between the chamber and the fishing lure.
- 5. The fishing apparatus of claim 1 wherein the second securing member is threadably attached to the fishing lure.
- 6. The fishing apparatus of claim 1 further comprising an insert permanently attachable to the fishing lure, modifying the fishing lure, enabling the second securing member to attach directly to the modified fishing lure.
- 7. The fishing apparatus of claim 1 wherein the elastic member is insertable within the fishing lure thereby further protecting the elastic member from the elements.
- 8. A method of using a fishing lure, said method comprising the steps of:
tying a fishing line to an elastic member; directly, removably attaching a first fishing lure to the elastic member whereby a separate fishing line or other extra parts are nor required for attaching the first fishing lure to the elastic member.
- 9. The method of claim 8 further comprising removing the first fishing lure from the elastic member and directly, removably attaching a second lure to the elastic member.
- 10. The method of claim 8 further comprising:
removing the first fishing lure from the elastic member; sliding a balance point weight along the elastic member; and securing the weight by directly, removably reattaching the first fishing lure to the elastic member.
- 11. The method of claim 10 further comprising securing a weed protector along the elastic member, next to the balance point weight.
- 12. The method of claim 8 further comprising:
removing the first fishing lure from the elastic member; modifying a soft body lure with an insert to create a modified fishing lure; and directly, removably attaching the modified fishing lure to the elastic member.
- 13. The method of claim 8 wherein the step of attaching further comprises threadably attaching the first fishing lure to the elastic member.
- 14. The method of claim 8 wherein the step of attaching further comprises sliding a substantial portion of the elastic member into the first fishing lure.
