Claims
- 1. A flashlight comprising:
a lamp head; a reflector; an incandescent light bulb projecting from said reflector; and a light-emitting diode projecting from said reflector.
- 2. The flashlight of claim 1 wherein the reflector comprises a first area exposed to light from the incandescent light bulb and a second area exposed to light from the light-emitting diode.
- 3. The flashlight of claim 2 wherein the first area includes at least a portion of the second area.
- 4. The flashlight of claim 1 wherein the light-emitting diode emits a non-white light.
- 5. The flashlight of claim 1 wherein the flashlight further comprises a housing and a battery stored in said housing.
- 6. The flashlight of claim 5 wherein the flashlight further comprises a conductive element providing an electrical path connecting said battery to said light bulb and said light-emitting diode.
- 7. The flashlight of claim 1 wherein the flashlight further comprises a switch operable to control operation of the incandescent light independently of the light-emitting diode.
- 8. The flashlight of claim 7 wherein the switch is operable between first, second and third positions, wherein in the first position both the incandescent light bulb and the light-emitting diode are off, in the second position the incandescent light bulb is on and the light-emitting diode is off, and in the third position the incandescent light bulb is off and the light-emitting diode is on.
- 9. A flashlight comprising:
a lamp head; a reflector; an incandescent light bulb projecting from said reflector; a light-emitting diode projecting from said reflector; and a switch operable to control operation of the incandescent light independently of the light-emitting diode.
- 10. The flashlight of claim 9 wherein the reflector comprises a first area exposed to light from the incandescent light bulb and a second area exposed to light from the light-emitting diode.
- 11. The flashlight of claim 10 wherein the first area encompasses a portion of the second area and the second area encompasses a portion of the first area.
- 12. The flashlight of claim 9 wherein the light-emitting diode emits a non-white light.
- 13. The flashlight of claim 9 wherein the flashlight further comprises a housing and a battery stored in said housing.
- 14. The flashlight of claim 13 wherein the flashlight further comprises a conductive element providing an electrical path connecting said battery to said light bulb and said light-emitting diode.
- 15. The flashlight of claim 9 wherein the switch is operable between first, second and third positions, wherein in the first position both the incandescent light bulb and the light-emitting diode are off, in the second position the incandescent light bulb is on and the light-emitting diode is off, and in the third position the incandescent light bulb is off and the light-emitting diode is on.
- 16. A flashlight comprising:
a lamp head; a reflector; an incandescent light bulb projecting from said reflector and having a concentric relationship with the reflector; and a light-emitting diode projecting from said reflector and having a non-concentric relationship with the reflector.
- 17. The flashlight of claim 16 wherein the reflector comprises a first area exposed to light from the incandescent light bulb and a second area exposed to light from the light-emitting diode.
- 18. The flashlight of claim 17 wherein the first area includes at least a portion of the second area.
- 19. The flashlight of claim 16 wherein the light-emitting diode emits a non-white light.
- 20. The flashlight of claim 16 wherein the flashlight further comprises a housing and a battery stored in said housing.
- 21. The flashlight of claim 20 wherein the flashlight further comprises a conductive element providing an electrical path connecting said battery to said light bulb and said light-emitting diode.
- 22. The flashlight of claim 16 wherein the flashlight further comprises a switch operable to control operation of the incandescent light independently of the light-emitting diode.
- 23. The flashlight of claim 16 wherein the switch is operable between first, second and third positions, wherein in the first position both the incandescent light bulb and the light-emitting diode are off, in the second position the incandescent light bulb is on and the light-emitting diode is off, and in the third position the incandescent light bulb is off and the light-emitting diode is on.
