Claims
- 1. A cable support apparatus, which comprises:
an elongate spine member; and a plurality of support members attached to the elongate spine member along the length thereof, the plurality of support members positioned relative one another to permit substantial bending of the elongate spine member, the plurality of support members defining at least two cable pathways disposed in at least partial vertical alignment relative to each other each being space a predetermined distance away from the elongate spine member, the at least two cable pathways adapted to receive and support cables therein.
- 2. The cable support apparatus of claim 1 wherein the at least two cable pathways each define an opening for loading or unloading cables to be positioned therein.
- 3. The cable support apparatus of claim 1 wherein the at least two cable pathways defined by the plurality of support members is generally parallel to the elongate spine member.
- 4. The cable support apparatus of claim 1 wherein the plurality of support members each defines a partially closed geometric region.
- 5. The cable support apparatus of claim 1 further including mounting means configured to mount the cable support apparatus to a building structure.
- 6. A cable support apparatus, which comprises:
an elongate spine member selectively bendable into various configurations; and a plurality of support members attached to the elongate spine member along the length thereof, the plurality of support members positioned relative one another to permit substantial bending of the elongate spine member to a desired configuration, the plurality of support members defining at least two cable pathways being in at least partial vertical alignment relative to each other and being adapted to receive and support cables therein.
- 7. The cable support apparatus of claim 6 wherein the at least two cable pathways defined by the plurality of support members are generally parallel to the elongate spine member.
- 8. The cable support apparatus of claim 6 wherein the at least two cable pathways are vertically displaced a predetermined distance away from the elongate spine member.
- 9. The cable support apparatus of claim 6 wherein the at least two cable pathways are disposed generally along one lateral side of the elongate spine member.
- 10. The cable support apparatus of claim 6 further including mounting means configured to mount the cable support apparatus to a building structure.
- 11. A method of installing a cable support apparatus comprising the steps of:
providing a cable support apparatus having an elongate flexible spine member, the elongate flexible spine member having a plurality of support members which define at least two cable pathways; bending the elongate flexible spine member to a selected configuration such that the flexible spine member remains substantially in the selected configuration upon placement of cables in the at least one cable pathway; and securing the cable support apparatus relative to a base.
