Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to a flexible carrier provided to carry the liquid or liquid-based material stored therein in a vehicle chassis or container.

BACKGROUND

Flexible carriers are used for the transportation of liquid or liquid-based materials. Flexible carriers filled with liquid are generally transported by vehicles between two locations by being placed in containers made of metal materials.

When the flexible carriers are filled with the material to be carried in the container, the material creates a fluid pressure in the flexible carrier. Fluid pressure is transferred to the container walls by resting the flexible carrier against the inner walls of the container. Especially on the side walls on the long side of the container, the pressure reaches the maximum level, which causes deformation in the form of outward swelling in these walls. The center of the said side walls is also the part where the strength is the lowest, increasing the amount of deformation. In the current art, to prevent this deformation, metal support profiles are mainly placed on the side walls of the container and, deformation formation is tried to be prevented. However, this causes both a cost increase and the need to revise each container individually before placing the flexible carrier. Also, when the said container is intended to be used for different purposes, the said support profiles need to be removed.

In conclusion, all the problems mentioned above have made it necessary to make an innovation in the relevant technical field.

SUMMARY

The present invention relates to a flexible carrier to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and bring new advantages to the relevant technical field.

An object of the invention is to provide a flexible carrier that does not cause deformation in the container walls in which it is placed.

In order to achieve all the objects that will emerge from the above-mentioned and the following detailed description, the present invention is a flexible carrier having a body that defines a closed volume and at least one filling opening for carrying liquid or liquid-based materials in the container. Accordingly, to reduce the pressure exerted on the container side walls of the body, the section of the body comprises a narrowed part at least in a middle part of the body in the direction of the length of the body. Thus, the transfer of the pressure created by the fluid in the body to the side walls of the container is at least partially prevented. Therefore, there is no need to attach support profiles to the side walls. In other words, it can be carried with containers that have not been revised.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, the section of the narrowed part is smaller than 5% of the body section.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, the narrowed part is provided in a predetermined first length from the middle part towards the two ends. Thus, the pressure applied to at least the middle part of the side wall is reduced by reducing the pressure applied by the flexible carrier to the side walls along the first length.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, the length of the narrowed part is greater than 5% of the total length of the body.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, the first length of the narrowed part is equal to the total length of the body and provided in a form that expands from the middle part of the body to the ends in the direction of its length. Thus, while the force on the weakest part of the side wall is reduced, due to the expansion towards the ends, the volume of the flexible carrier can be as large as possible.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, the body is obtained by connecting the two plates provided to be narrowed in the middle part of the long sides from the outer walls. Thus, the narrowed part is obtained in the desired form during the production of the body.

A possible embodiment of the invention comprises at least one corset that encompasses the body to narrow the section of the body and the section of which is provided in a smaller than the section of the body. Thus, a narrowed part is obtained on a body produced in standard form.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, the corset is fixed on the body. Thus, during the filling of the material into the flexible carrier, displacement or shrinkage of the corset can be prevented.

A possible embodiment of the invention is that the end joint edge obtained by closing the two ends of the body is positioned to extend upwards from the container base. Thus, it is ensured that the flexible carrier tries to expand in the base-ceiling direction of the container after filling the material into the body.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS

The flexible carrier (10) of the invention is explained with examples that do not have any limiting effect only for a better understanding of the subject in this detailed description.

The flexible carrier (10) of the invention has a body (20) as can be seen from the Figures in FIGS. 1-6. The said body (20) is provided to define a closed volume in which the materials can be filled.

The body (20) of the flexible carrier (10) is filled after being placed in the container (40) and used for carrying fluid materials. The middle part (23) of the body (20) is provided as narrowed to reduce the pressure exerted by the flexible carrier (10) on the side walls (41) of the container (40). The parts provided with a narrower section than the ends of the body (20) are defined as a narrowed part (23). The collapsed part is provided in a predetermined first length.

As can be seen from FIG. 7, in a possible embodiment of the invention, the body (20) is made by interconnecting at least two plates (21) along their walls. Accordingly, the plates (21) are primarily formed to be narrowed around the middle of the long sides. Then, they are placed on top of each other and connected along their walls in a sealed manner. The said connection process can be done by methods such as bonding, welding, etc. in possible embodiments. As a result of this process, a closed volume is obtained between the plates (21) in which the desired material can be filled.

In a possible embodiment of the invention, different shapes can be obtained by forming the plates (21) to be narrowed from their long sides. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the first length (L), which is defined as the length of the narrowed part (24), is provided as a part of the length of the body (20). In the said embodiment, the narrowed part (24) has a flat part and parts where the section expands on both sides. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the first length (L) of the narrowed part (24) is provided equally to the body length and the section from both sides of the flat part to the ends slowly expands. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the narrowed part (24) is provided along the body (20), while the section in the middle of the body (20) becomes narrowest and extends linearly from there to the ends. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, while the narrowed part (24) is provided along the body (20), the section in the middle of the body (20) becomes narrowest and extends parabolically from there to the ends. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the plates (21) can be provided in different forms and the narrowed part can be formed.

After the plates (21) are shaped and joined in the said way, the section is narrowed in the direction of the length of the body (20). Thus, when the material is filled into the body (20), the pressure applied to the container (40) from the middle parts (23) in the direction of the length of the flexible carrier (10) is reduced.

As can be seen in FIG. 8, in a possible embodiment of the invention, when the body (20) is obtained by joining the two plates (21), one of the joint edges (22) extending in the direction of the length of the body (20) is positioned to sit on the base (42) of the container (40). The other joint edge (22) extending in the direction of the length of the body (20) is positioned facing the ceiling of the container (40). Meanwhile, each end joint edge (25) connecting the ends of the body (20) is positioned from the base (42) of the container (40) to the ceiling. Thus, it is ensured that the flexible carrier (10) tries to expand in the direction of the ceiling, especially at the ends. Thus, the compressive force on the side walls (41) of the container (40) is further reduced, and at the same time extra volume is obtained for the end parts.

FIG. 9 shows a representative view of the flexible carrier (10) in the container (40) in a possible embodiment of the invention.

As can be seen in FIGS. 5 and 6, in another possible embodiment of the invention, the body (20) is configured with a fixed section, and then at least one corset (30) provided in a size smaller than the section of the body (20) is passed over the body (20). The section of the part of the body (20) wrapped by the corset (30) is narrowed in this way. Thus, the narrowed part (24) is obtained. In the said embodiment, the corset (30) can be provided in more than one part as a sufficiently wide single part or narrower. In a possible embodiment of the invention, the corset (30) can be fixed to the body (20) to ensure that the corset (30) does not slip on the body (20) during filling. The fixation process can be done by gluing or welding.

In the embodiment where the body (20) is narrowed by the corset (30), the section of the middle part (23) of the body (20) in line with its length is narrowed and thus the pressure applied by the body (20) to the side walls (41) of the container (40) after filling is reduced.

In the said embodiment, when the flexible carrier (10) is formed by a corset (30) placed on the body (20), the end joint edges (25) connecting the ends of the body (20) are positioned extending from the base of the container (40) to the ceiling of the container (42). Thus, it is ensured that the flexible carrier (10) tries to expand in the direction of the ceiling, especially at the ends.

In all the mentioned embodiments, the pressure exerted by the body (20) on the side walls (41) of the container (40) is reduced. In this way, the deformation of the side walls (41) of the container (40) is prevented. Therefore, there is no need for support profiles used to support the side walls (41) of the container (40).

In addition, a representative graph of the pressure distribution between the side walls (41) of the container (40), which is positioned in the flexible carrier (10) of the invention, is given in FIG. 10. As can be seen from the aforementioned graph, the pressure applied by the flexible carrier (10) to the side wall (41) is at minimum levels in the middle part of the side wall (41), while it increases as you go to the end parts. In this way, low forces occur in the middle part of the weakest part of the side wall (41), while high forces occur in the more durable end parts. Therefore, deformations likely to occur in the weak middle part are prevented.

FIG. 11 shows a representative graph of the pressure distribution between the side walls (41) of the container (40) positioned in the standard section flexible carrier of the prior art. As can be seen from the aforementioned graph, the pressure along the side wall (41) is constant, and therefore a large joint force arises in the middle of the weakest part of the side wall (41). Therefore, deformation occurs in this part.

On the other hand, the section at both ends of the flexible carrier (10) is provided wider than the standard flexible carriers (10) known in the previous art to compensate for the losses in its volume due to the sectional narrowing. Thus, the volume loss in the middle part is compensated in the end parts.

The scope of protection of the invention is specified in the attached claims and cannot be limited to those explained for sampling purposes in this detailed description. It is evident that a person skilled in the art may exhibit similar embodiments in light of above-mentioned facts without drifting apart from the main theme of the invention.
