Claims
- 1. A kit of parts for float mounting an electrical connector to a panel, the kit of parts comprising a mounting panel having a front face and a rear ace and being formed with a cut out opening into both of said faces and with two spaced pairs of through holes, the holes of each pair being disposed on opposite sides of the cut out; a pair of separate elongate straps each having a rectilinear central leg and at least end thereof a mounting flange parallel with said leg and a joggle connecting the mounting flange to the central leg, each mounting flange having a tapped bore therein, for alignment with a respective hole of a respective pair of said holes; and bolts each having a head, and a screw threaded shank for insertion through a respective one of said holes form the front face of the panel for threadedly engaging in the tapped bore of a respective one of said mounting flanges, the joggles of each strap being dimensioned to space the central leg of that strap from the rear face of the panel.
- 2. A kit of parts for float mounting an electrical connector to a mounting panel, the kit of parts comprising a mounting panel having a front face and a rear face and being formed with a cut out opening into both of said faces and with two pairs of through holes, the holes of each pair being, disposed on opposite sides of the cut out, a pair of separate straps each having a central rectilinear leg and end portions projecting at right angles from opposite ends of the leg in the same direction, each end portion terminating in a shoulder, a screw threaded bolt shank projecting from the shoulder for insertion through a respective one of the holes of a respective pair of said holes so that a portion of the bolt shank projects from the front face of the mounting panel, and a nut for threading onto the projecting portion of each bolt shank to draw the shoulder from which the bolt shank projects, against the rear face of the mounting panel.
- 3. A kit of parts for float mounting an electrical connector to a panel, the kit of parts comprising a mounting panel having a front face and a rear face and being formed with a cut out opening into both of said faces and with two pairs of through holes, the holes of each pair being disposed on opposite sides of the cut out, a pair of separate flat, elongate, rectilinear straps, each strap being formed with a hole proximate to each end of the strap, for alignment with a respective hole of a respective pair of said holes, and four bolts each having a head from which projects a cylindrical shank portion terminating in a shoulder from which projects a screw threaded bolt shank, said bolts being insertable through said holes in the mounting panel and through said holes in said straps to secure them to the rear face of the mounting panel so as to be spaced from said rear face by the cylindrical shank portion of each bolt.
- 4. A kit of parts as claimed in claim 3, wherein each hole in each strap is a smooth bore, each bolt being insertable from a rear face of a respective strap and through a respective hole in the mounting panel from the rear face thereof so that the head of the bolt engages against the rear face of said respective strap, with a portion of the screw threaded bolt shank of the bolt projecting from the front face of the panel, a nut being provided for threading on to the projecting portion of each bolt shank to urge the head of the bolt against said rear face of the respective strap and the shoulder of the bolt against the rear face of the mounting panel.
- 5. A kit of parts as claimed in claim 3, wherein each strap is flat, elongate and rectilinear and is formed with a tapped bore proximate to each end of the strap, each bolt being insertable through a respective one of the holes in the mounting panel so that the head of the bolt engages the front face of the panel, the screw threaded bolt shank of the bolt being threadingly engageable in the tapped bore aligned with that hole so that the shoulder of the bolt engages the front face of the respective strap.
