FLOOR MAT PUZZLE WITH A WOOD-PATTERNED TOP LAYER

Abstract
A floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer has a bottom layer and a surface layer fixed onto a top of the bottom layer. The bottom layer is a foam material, and the surface layer is a hard plastic film embossed with a wood pattern and having indentations corresponding to the wood pattern.
Description
BACKGROUND of INVENTION
1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a floor mat puzzle, and more particularly to a floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer.

2. Description of Related Art

Conventional assembled floor padding system is made of plastic foam material, which can only provide surface with embossed decorative pattern for anti-slip effect. The embossed decorative pattern is created by a press operation on a surface of the padding, which can only provide limited anti-slip effect. Also, due to the foam padding surface is thin and has low hardness, not only embossed decorative pattern is easy to fade off due to friction, but also east to suffer wear and tear.

Therefore, it is desirable to provide floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer to mitigate and/or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY of INVENTION

An objective of present invention is to provide a floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer, which is capable of improving the above-mention problems.

In order to achieve the above mentioned objective, a floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer has a bottom layer and a surface layer fixed onto a top of the bottom layer. The bottom layer is a foam material, and the surface layer is a hard plastic film embossed with a wood pattern and having indentations corresponding to the wood pattern.

Other objects, advantages, and novel features of invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Please refer to FIG. 1, 2, 3 and 4. A floor mat puzzle 10 comprises a bottom layer 11 and a surface layer 12 fixed onto a top of the bottom layer 11. The bottom layer 11 is a foam material comprising EVA, PE, or EVA mixed with PE, The surface layer 12 is a hard plastic film embossed with a wood pattern and has at least one indentation portion 122 and at least one raised portion 123 corresponding to the wood pattern. A peripheral edge of the floor mat puzzle 10 comprises at least one convex region 13 and one concave region 14.

In a first embodiment of the manufacturing method for the floor mat puzzle 10, the surface layer 12 is embossed with the wood pattern 121, and a bottom surface of the surface layer 12 is coated with an adhesive agent for attachment to the bottom layer 11.

In a second embodiment of the manufacturing method for the floor mat puzzle 10, the surface layer 12 is embossed with the wood pattern 121, and the surface layer 12 and the bottom layer 11 are hot melted together.

In a third embodiment of the manufacturing method for the floor mat puzzle 10, the surface layer 12 overlaps a top surface of the bottom layer 11, embossed to have the wood pattern 121, and hot-pressed to combine with the bottom layer 11.

By the structure of the above specific embodiment, the following benefits can be obtained: Since the surface layer 12 of the floor mat puzzle 10 is a plastic film with high hardness, embossed with the wood pattern 121, and has at least one indentation portion 122 and at least one raised portion 123, which can not only greatly improves the wear resistance of the floor mat puzzle 10 but also reduce the wear and tear of the floor mat puzzle 10. Furthermore, the surface layer 12 provides protection for the wood pattern 121 and also waterproof and weather-resistant features. In addition, the concave region 122 and convex region 123 of the wood pattern 121 provides slip-resistant effect for the floor mat puzzle 10 to increase the security of use.

Although the present invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of invention as hereinafter claimed.
