Claims
- 1. A method of treating a vascular wall, comprising the steps of:providing a closed system for delivering fluid to a body lumen, comprising a stent comprised of non-inflatable non-porous tubing, having at least one fluid flow conduit therein, a removable catheter having a distal end that is sealingly attachable to the fluid flow conduit of the stent, and valve means for controlling the flow of fluid within the system; attaching the catheter to the stent inserting the stein and catheter into a body, positioning the stent at a desired location in a body lumen; and delivering a treatment fluid through the catheter to the stent.
- 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the step of delivering a treatment fluid further comprises selecting the treatment fluid from the group consisting of cryogenic fluid, heated fluid and radioactive fluid.
- 3. The method according to claim 1 comprising the step of further detaching the catheter from the stein, wherein the stent is left within the body lumen.
- 4. The method according to claim 3 further comprising the step of reattaching the catheter to the stent.
