Claims
- 1. A circuit for adjusting the phase of a fluid pressure differential signal carried in first and second conduits, comprising:
- first means, including feed forward circuit means in communication with said first and second conduits, and further including passive flow capacitive and flow resistance means in communication with said first and second conduits, for providing a transfer function for said signal of the form ##EQU4## where .tau.0 is the time constant of said circuit and S is the Laplace Transform operator, whereby said first means adjusts the phase of said signal in relation to the frequency of said signal without causing the gain of said signal to be dependent upon said frequency.
- 2. A circuit as set forth in claim 1, wherein said passive means include first and second fixed flow restrictions serially interposed in said first conduit; third and fourth fixed flow resistances serially interposed in said second conduit; and a capacitive element communicating with said first conduit intermediate said first and second restrictions, and communicating with said second conduit intermediate said third and fourth restrictions; and wherein said feed forward circuit means includes a first feed-forward conduit extending from said first conduit upstream of said first restriction to said second conduit downstream of said fourth restriction; a second feed-forward conduit extending from said second conduit upstream of said third restriction to said first conduit downstream of said second restriction; and fifth and sixth fixed flow restrictions respectively interposed in said first and second feed-forward conduits.
- 3. A circuit as set forth in claim 2, wherein said first through sixth restrictions present substantially equal restrictions to fluid flow.
- 4. A circuit as set forth in claim 2, wherein said capacitive element comprises a fluid flow accumulator having a flexible diaphragm traversing the interior thereof to define opposed fluid capacitive chambers respectively communicating with said first and second conduits.
- 5. A circuit for adjusting the phase of a fluid pressure differential signal carried in first and second conduits, comprising:
- first and second fixed flow restrictions serially interposed in said first conduit;
- third and fourth fixed flow restrictions serially interposed in said second conduit;
- a capacitive element communicating with said first conduit intermediate said first and second restrictions, and communicating with said second conduit intermediate said third and fourth restrictions;
- a first feed-forward conduit extending from said first conduit upstream of said first restriction to said second conduit downstream of said fourth restriction;
- a second feed-forward conduit extending from said second conduit upstream of said third restriction to said first conduit downstream of said second restriction; and
- fifth and sixth fixed flow restrictions respectively interposed in said first and second feed-forward conduits.
- 6. A circuit as set forth in claim 5, wherein said first through sixth restrictions present substantially equal restrictions to fluid flow.
- 7. A circuit as set forth in claims 5 or 6, wherein said capacitive element comprises a fluid flow accumulator having a flexible diaphragm traversing the interior thereof to define opposed fluid capacitive chambers respectively communicating with said first and second conduits.
- 8. A method of adjusting the phase of a fluid pressure differential signal transmitted through first and second conduits, comprising the steps of:
- operatively associating with said conduits passive fluidic flow capacitive and flow resistance means for fluidically adjusting the phase of said signal in relation to the frequency of said signal; and
- providing feed forward circuit means cross-connected between said conduits for maintaining the gain of said signal independent of variations in said frequency of the signal.
- 9. A method as set forth in claim 8 wherein said steps are performed in a manner providing a transfer function for said signal of the form: ##EQU5## where .tau. is the time constant of said circuit and S is the Laplace Transform operator.
