Claims
- 1. method comprising;applying to an acrylic resin, a polycarbonate resin, or both, a composition comprising a silicone oil or a fluorinated oil containing lubricant and a carrier solvent that comprises tridecafluorohexane, and evaporating the carrier solvent to leave a lubricant coating on said resin(s).
- 2. The method of claim 1 comprising applying the composition to an acrylic resin.
- 3. The method of claim 1 comprising applying the composition to a polycarbonate resin.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein said composition is applied to a composite material comprising an acrylic resin, a polycarbonate resin, or both.
- 5. The method of claim 1, comprising spraying said composition on the acrylic resin, the polycarbonate resin, or both.
- 6. The method of claim 1, comprising coating said composition on the acrylic resin, the polycarbonate resin, or both.
- 7. The method of claim 1, comprising evaporating the carrier solvent in air.
- 8. The method of claim 1, wherein said lubricant is a silicone oil comprising polyalkylsiloxane.
- 9. The method of claim 1, wherein said lubricant is a fluorinated oil comprising a perfluoroalkyl group.
- 10. The method of claim 1, wherein the lubricant forms 0.01 to 50% of said composition.
- 11. The method of claim 1, wherein the lubricant forms 0.1 to 20% of said composition.
- 12. The method of claim 1, wherein the carrier solvent further comprises (perfluorohexyloxy)methane.
- 13. The method of claim 1, wherein the carrier solvent consists of tridecafluorohexane.
- 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the carrier solvent further comprises a second organic solvent.
- 15. The method of claim 14, wherein said second organic solvent forms at most 40% of the mass of the carrier solvent.
- 16. The method of claim 14, wherein said second organic solvent forms from 1 to 10% of the mass of the carrier solvent.
- 17. The method of claim 14, wherein the second organic solvent comprises one or more hydrocarbon(s), alcohol(s), ketone(s), halogenated hydrocarbon(s), ether(s), or ester(s).
- 18. The method of claim 14, wherein the second organic solvent comprises n-heptane, ethanol, acetone, dichloromethane, diethyl ether, or ethyl acetate.
