Abstract
A firearm with a moveable and rotational barrel assembly is provided. The firearm comprises a first frame portion having a trigger and a trigger hand grip proximate the trigger. Further, a second frame portion pivotally connects to the first frame portion at a vertical pivot axis, and a third frame portion pivotally connects to the second frame portion at a horizontal pivot axis.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to weapons and firearms, and more particularly, to a firearm with a moveable and rotational barrel assembly.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

All firearms (Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, machineguns) allow the user to shoot at zero degrees on a XY plane and ZX plane aligning the Barrel, receiver/lower and the stock as show in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B.

Firearms won't allow the user to shoot a projectile around obstacles, barricades, walls or corners on different angles on the XY plane's axes.

Firearms won't allow the user to shoot a projectile over obstacles, barricades, or walls on different ZX planes' axes and angles.

Presently there is not a firearm that will allow the user to adjust the angle of the barrel by moving and rotating it to different planes and angles to shoot around corners or barricades while safely staying behind the mentioned corner or barricade see FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B Existing Firearms design.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIGS. 1A-6 show various views of a preferred embodiment of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

FIG. 1A illustrates an existing firearm design. There is no vertical rotation or turning of the barrel with respect to the receiver on the XZ Plane.

FIG. 1B illustrates an existing firearm design. There is no rotation or turning of the barrel with respect to the receiver on the XY Plane.

FIG. 2 illustrates the FLX firearm. All reference numerals correspond to the listing on page 4.

FIG. 3A is a side view of the FLX firearm standard in straight position.

FIG. 3B is a top view of the FLX firearm standard in straight position.

FIG. 4 shows the FLX firearm XY plane, right turn position. Top view standard position of fire at 65° angle, right on the XY Plane.

FIG. 5 shows the FLX firearm XY plane, left turn position. Top view, standard position of fire at 65° angle, left on the XY Plane.

FIG. 6 shows the FLX firearm ZY plane, vertical drop position. Side view, standard position of fire at 45° angle, vertically drop on the XZ Plane.

The present invention FIG. 2 seeks to provide a solution to the problems described in the Background of the Invention by developing a Firearm with a moveable and rotational barrel assembly that allows the user to shoot a projectile on different planes and angles while behind a corner or barricade see FIG. 3A, FIG. 3B, FIG. 4, FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 for the different shooting positions.

The barrel will pivot around a foregrip on the XY plane from 0 to 65 degrees to the right FIG. 4 or 0 to 65 degrees to the left FIG. 5. as set by the user depending on if the shot will be around a wall or corner on the right or left of the user. Once the user selects the desired angle on the XY plane the barrel will be locked and the user will be ready to safely shoot. Additionally, to the moveable and rotational capabilities of the barrel on the XY plane as shown on FIG. 4 & FIG. 5, the barrel can also pivot and vertically drop on the XZ plane from 0 to 45 degrees as shown FIG. 6 by the push of a button allowing the user to shoot over a barricade or wall.

Preferably, the Firearm will have a selector on the foregrip so that the angle of the barrel on the XY plane can be set easily by the user before firing the apparatus around corners or barricades. The intent of the selector is to make it extremely intuitive for the user to change between angles for the barrel, so that the user can change between firing angles simply by moving the selector with the thumb. Additionally, the Firearm will have a Push Button on the top part of the Barrel assembly so that the angle of the barrel on the ZX plane can be easily set by the user before firing the apparatus over walls and barricades. The intent of the push button is to make it extremely intuitive for the user to drop the barrel 45 degrees, so that the user can change between firing angles on the ZX plane by pushing the button with the thumb.

One version may have a rotational barrel around the receiver and/or lower on the XY plane.

Another version may have a rotational barrel around the receiver and/or lower on the XZ plane.

Another version may have a joint assembly connecting the barrel assembly with the receiver and/or lower.
