Description
BACKGROUND
1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to cosmetic tools, and more specifically, to a portable, detachable cosmetic tool system for securely carrying and holding tools, products, and brushes.

2. Description of Related Art

Cosmetic tool systems are well known in the art and are effective means to conveniently apply makeup. For example, FIG. 1 depicts several different types of conventional cosmetic brushes in system 101 having a handle 103 comprised of wood, plastic, or other material. The handle 103a-c has an applicator 105, 107, or 109 attached at one end. The applicator 105 is comprised of bristles and used for applying pressed or loose powder, the applicator 107 is comprised of a sponge and is used for applying liquid or powder makeup, and the applicator 109 is comprised of cotton or a mesh sponge and is used for applying eyeshadows.

One of the problems commonly associated with system 101 is inconvenience. For example, traveling with a plurality of cosmetic tools can be cumbersome and take up excess space in luggage and/or a user's purse.

Accordingly, although great strides have been made in the area of cosmetic tools, many shortcomings remain.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The novel features believed characteristic of the embodiments of the present application are set forth in the appended claims. However, the embodiments themselves, as well as a preferred mode of use, and further objectives and advantages thereof, will best be understood by reference to the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a top view of several traditional cosmetic brushes;

FIGS. 2A-2C are top views of a folded cosmetic pocket tool in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present application; and

FIG. 3 is a bottom view of the folded cosmetic pocket tool of FIGS. 2A-2C.

While the system and method of use of the present application is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof have been shown by way of example in the drawings and are herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the description herein of specific embodiments is not intended to limit the invention to the particular embodiment disclosed, but on the contrary, the intention is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the present application as defined by the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Illustrative embodiments of the system and method of use of the present application are provided below. It will of course be appreciated that in the development of any actual embodiment, numerous implementation-specific decisions will be made to achieve the developer's specific goals, such as compliance with system-related and business-related constraints, which will vary from one implementation to another. Moreover, it will be appreciated that such a development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine undertaking for those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of this disclosure.

The system and method of use in accordance with the present application overcomes one or more of the above-discussed problems commonly associated with conventional cosmetic tool systems. Specifically, the present invention provides a means to conveniently transport a plurality of cosmetic tools. In addition, cosmetic or other types of products or powders can be securely attached to the body of the tool. These and other unique features of the system and method of use are discussed below and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

The system and method of use will be understood, both as to its structure and operation, from the accompanying drawings, taken in conjunction with the accompanying description. Several embodiments of the system are presented herein. It should be understood that various components, parts, and features of the different embodiments may be combined together and/or interchanged with one another, all of which are within the scope of the present application, even though not all variations and particular embodiments are shown in the drawings. It should also be understood that the mixing and matching of features, elements, and/or functions between various embodiments is expressly contemplated herein so that one of ordinary skill in the art would appreciate from this disclosure that the features, elements, and/or functions of one embodiment may be incorporated into another embodiment as appropriate, unless described otherwise.

The preferred embodiment herein described is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise form disclosed. It is chosen and described to explain the principles of the invention and its application and practical use to enable others skilled in the art to follow its teachings.

Referring now to the drawings wherein like reference characters identify corresponding or similar elements throughout the several views, FIGS. 2A and 2B depicts top views of a folded cosmetic pocket tool system 201 in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present application. It will be appreciated that system 201 overcomes one or more of the above-listed problems commonly associated with conventional portable, detachable tool systems.

In the contemplated embodiment, system 201 includes a main body 203 having two sides 204a, 204b with a central receptacle holder 206 and a plurality of foldable appendages 205. Receptacle holder 206 can house one or more receptacles 207 for holding cosmetic products 208. The receptacle 207 allows for powders, gels, or other types of solid makeup or cosmetic products to be attached therein. Products can be attached to and removed from receptacle 207 via an attachment means. It should be understood that the number and size of receptacles can vary as aesthetical, functional, or manufacturing considerations require.

The foldable appendages 205 are pivotally attached to body 203, thereby providing a means to extend and fold the appendages 205 from a compact position (shown in FIG. 2A) to an extended position (shown in FIG. 2C). In the preferred embodiment, each appendage 205 includes a hollow opening 209 into a hollow cavity to receive cosmetic tools 211 therein. In addition, each appendage 205 can include a correlating cap 213 configured to removably secure over the end of the appendage 205 to retain the tool 211 inside.

As shown in FIGS. 2B and 2C, the appendages can pivot open, thereby allowing for the caps to be removed and the tools to be removed for use. It should be appreciated that a plurality of cosmetic tools could be included, such as make-up brushes, make-up pencils, lip-gloss applicators, mascara applicators, and the like.

It should be appreciated that one of the unique features believed characteristic of the present application is the compact nature of the tool, thereby providing a means for a use to carry the tool conveniently while still retaining a plurality of tools.

Another unique feature believed characteristic of the present application is products or powders can be attached to the receptacles 207 on the body of the tool. When the tool is closed, the products or powders are kept secured in the receptacle 207.

In FIG. 3, bottom view of tool 201 is shown having tool appendages 301, with caps 302 and configured to hold tools 305, the appendages pivotally attached to body 203. Body 203 can further include a mirror 303 secured to a bottom of receptacle holder 206.

The particular embodiments disclosed above are illustrative only, as the embodiments may be modified and practiced in different but equivalent manners apparent to those skilled in the art having the benefit of the teachings herein. It is therefore evident that the particular embodiments disclosed above may be altered or modified, and all such variations are considered within the scope and spirit of the application. Accordingly, the protection sought herein is as set forth in the description. Although the present embodiments are shown above, they are not limited to just these embodiments, but are amenable to various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit thereof.
