DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
FIG. 1 illustrates an assembly view of a foldable structure of desk in accordance with a preferred example of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a 3-D view of the assembled foldable desk of the present invention. The foldable desk of the present invention comprises a desk board 1, internal supports 2 and desk legs 3, wherein one side of the desk board 1 provides a storing trench portion 11 at its central part, and a plurality of holes 14 are provided at two sides of the inner parts of the storing trench portion 11. Two leg trenches 12 are extended respectively from two sides of a central portion of the storing trench portion 11, and a hook stand 13 is provided at a middle part of the leg trenches 12.
A hook part 131 is formed respectively at both sides of the hook stand 13, and two sets of middle holes 15 are provided at sides of the middle part of the leg trenches 12. Two inner supports 2 are attached to two inner sides of the storing trench portion 11 of the desk board 1 through screws 21. Side openings 24 and middle openings 25 are provided at the inner supports 2 to correspond with the positions of the holes 14 and the middle holes 15 of the desk 1, and the desk legs 3 is confined systematically to an extended shape of the leg trenches 12 of the desk board 1. Two middle parts 33, located at a middle portion of a stand of every desk leg 3, are extended vertically and parallel to each other, wherein the middle parts 33 of the desk legs 3 are extended outwardly to form arc-shaped parts 34. The side holes 24 of the inner supports 2 are inserted into the corresponded holes 14 of the desk board 1 to form connecting portions, wherein a middle rod 32 is located horizontally in between a central part of the two middle parts 33 of each desk leg 3 to provide a connection of one end of a slant connecting bar 31 that can be bent in one direction. Two upper parallel bars 35 are inserted through the middle openings 25 and reached to the middle holes 15 of the desk board 1 to form a connecting pivot so that the upper parallel bars 35 can be pivoted to another end of the slant connecting bar 31. By using two slant connecting bars 31, the desk legs 3 can be stored and folded up within the inner section of the bottom part of the desk board 1.
FIG. 3 shows a 3-D assembled view of the foldable desk in a stored state. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the foldable desk in a stored state. FIG. 5 is another cross-sectional view of the foldable desk in a stored state. FIG. 6 is a bottom view of the foldable desk in a stored state. From the drawings, the desk legs 3 are folded up and stored inside the leg trenches 12 of the desk board 1 in such that only half size of side view of the foldable desk is visible. The desk legs 3 are designed in such that they can be unfolded easily from the leg trenches 12. Once the desk legs 3 are folded up, the circumferential portion of the storing trench portion 11 does not protrude outside the circumferential part of the desk board 1 to result a lumpy or uneven surface area. In other words, the surface area of the desk board 1 is appearing and evenly after the foldable desk is stored up. The present invention provides an improved foldable desk that a multiple foldable desks can be stacked up and stored away together to reduce the storage space. The hook part 131 of the hook stand 13 is integrated perfectly within the two middle parts 33 of the desk legs 3 in such that the desk legs 3 are perfectly locked within the bottom part of the desk board 1 without coming off or slid off from the desk board 1.
Other embodiments of the invention will appear to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the invention disclosed herein. It is intended that the specification and examples to be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope and spirit of the invention being indicated by the following claims.
