DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
Technical Problem

A foldable electronic device may be operated in a folded state or an unfolded state with a first housing and a second housing with respect to a hinge module.

The foldable electronic device may be operated in an in-folding and/or out-folding manner by rotation of the first housing and the second housing using the hinge module.

The foldable electronic device may include at least one of the first housing or the second housing made of a conductive material (e.g., metal). At least a portion of the first housing and/or the second housing made of the conductive material may be utilized as an antenna (e.g., an antenna radiator) to perform a wireless communication. For example, the first housing and/or the second housing of the foldable electronic device may be separated by at least one segmenting portion (e.g., a slit) and used as at least one antenna.

The conductive portion formed on the first housing may overlap the conductive portion (e.g., an antenna) formed on the second housing when the first housing and the second housing are in the folded state. In the foldable electronic device, the conductive portions may be disposed adjacent to each other by means of at least one segmenting portion formed in the first housing. In the foldable electronic device, the conductive portions may be disposed adjacent to each other by means of at least one segmenting portion formed in the second housing.

When the first housing and the second housing are in the folded state, and the conductive portion of the first housing and the conductive portion of the second housing (e.g., an antenna) are overlapped, electric components of the conductive portion of the first housing may degrade radiation performance of the conductive portion of the second housing that performs a function of an antenna. In the foldable electronic device, when a first conductive portion and a second conductive portion (e.g., an antenna) that are separated by the segmenting portion of the first housing are disposed adjacent to each other, an electrical component of the first conductive portion may degrade radiation performance of the second conductive portion that performs a function of an antenna. In the foldable electronic device, when a third conductive portion and a fourth conductive portion that are separated by the segmenting portion of the second housing are disposed adjacent to each other, an electrical component of the fourth conductive portion may degrade radiation performance of the third conductive portion that performs a function of an antenna.

When the radiation performance of the antenna is degraded, the foldable electronic device may not perform telephone calls and/or data transmission and reception normally with other electronic devices.

According to an embodiment, the first housing 210 (e.g., the first lateral member 213 in FIG. 2A) may include the first segmenting portion 501, the second segmenting portion 502, the first conductive portion 510, the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., a first antenna), and/or a first printed circuit board 271. In an embodiment, the first printed circuit board 271 may be disposed with the processor 120, a first wireless communication module 192a (e.g., wireless communication circuit), a matching circuit 512, and/or a first filter circuit 514. For example, the first printed circuit board 271 may include at least one of a first ground G1 and a second ground G2.

According to an embodiment, the first segmenting portion 501 and the second segmenting portion 502 may be formed in a downward direction (e.g., in the −y axis direction) of the first housing 210. For example, the second segmenting portion 502 may be formed closer to the hinge module 320 than the first segmenting portion 501.

According to an embodiment, the first conductive portion 510 may be disposed between the first segmenting portion 501 and the second segmenting portion 502. For example, the processor 120 may include a communications processor and/or a radio frequency IC (RFIC).

According to various embodiments, the processor 120 may control the first wireless communication module 192a to transmit a feeding signal to the first feed point F1 of the second conductive portion 520.

According to an embodiment, the first wireless communication module 192a may be electrically connected to the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1) via the first signal path S1 and the first feed point F1. The first wireless communication module 192a may be electrically connected to the processor 120. The first wireless communication module 192a may allow the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1) to transmit and/or receive wireless signals under the control of the processor 120. The first wireless communication module 192a may be electrically coupled to the first feed point F1 using, for example, a conductive member (e.g., a contact pad, a coupling member, a C-clip, or a conductive foam spring).

According to various embodiments, the first wireless communication module 192a may be disposed at least one or more on the first printed circuit board 271. In an embodiment, a second wireless communication module 192b may be disposed at least one or more on a second printed circuit board 272 of the second housing 220. According to an embodiment, the matching circuit 512 may be electrically connected to the processor 120 via the second signal path S2. For example, the matching circuit 512 may be operated under the control of the processor 120. The matching circuit 512 may be electrically connected to the first conductive portion 510 via a third signal path S3 and a first point P1. The matching circuit 512 may control an electrical characteristic of the first conductive portion 510. For example, the matching circuit 512 may adjust a resonant length of the first conductive portion 510. For example, the matching circuit 512 may control parasitic resonance and current flow in the first conductive portion 510. The matching circuit 512 may be electrically connected to the first ground G1. In an embodiment, the matching circuit 512 may adjust an electrical length of the first conductive portion 510 using at least one switch (e.g., a switch 610 in FIG. 6) and at least one lumped element (e.g., an inductor (e.g., inductors 621, 623, and 625 in FIG. 6) and/or a capacitor (e.g., a capacitor 605 in FIG. 6)). For example, the matching circuit 512 may utilize at least one switch and at least one lumped element to connect or disconnect electrical signals entering the ground G1 via the third signal path S3. The matching circuit 512 may be disposed between the first ground G1 and the first conductive portion 510. The matching circuit 512 may be disposed between the processor 120 and the first conductive portion 510. For example, the matching circuit 512 may be constituted to electrically connect, or electrically disconnect, the first conductive portion 510 and the first ground G1 under the control of the processor 120.

According to various embodiments, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, in case that the first conductive portion 510 of the first housing 210 and the third conductive portion 530 of the second housing 220 (e.g., the second antenna A2) overlap or face each other, the matching circuit 512 may be operating, for example, in response to the control of the processor 120, to change inductance and capacitance values of at least one switch (e.g., the switch 610 in FIG. 6), at least one lumped element (e.g., an inductor (e.g., the inductors 621, 623, and 625 in FIG. 6), and/or a capacitor (e.g., the capacitor 605 in FIG. 6)), and to reduce the influence on radiating performance of the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna A2). For example, in case that the first conductive portion 510 of the first housing 210 and the third conductive portion 530 of the second housing 220 (e.g., the second antenna A2) overlap or face each other, the matching circuit 512 may be operating to adjust an electrical characteristic and resonance length of the first conductive portion 510 to eliminate noise (e.g., a parasitic resonance) transmitted through the first conductive portion 510 to the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna), and to reduce the influence on an operating frequency of the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna) by controlling an electrical element.

According to an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 (e.g., an interference rejection circuit) may be electrically connected to the third signal path S3 that electrically connects the first conductive portion 510 and the matching circuit 512. For example, the first filter circuit 514 may have a first portion electrically connected to the third signal path S3 between the first point P1 and the matching circuit 512 via the fourth signal path S4, and a second portion electrically connected to the second ground G2. In an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 may include at least one capacitor (e.g., capacitors 631 and 633 in FIG. 6) and at least one inductor (e.g., an inductor 635 in FIG. 6).

According to various embodiments, the first filter circuit 514 may be operated independently of the matching circuit 512. For example, the first filter circuit 514 may be operated to be unaffected by changes in the inductance and capacitance values of the matching circuit 512. The first filter circuit 514 may ensure isolation of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna) that is adjacent to the first conductive portion 510 with the second segmenting portion 502 interposed therebetween. The first filter circuit 514 may enable the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1) to operate independently and without the influence of the first conductive portion 510.

According to an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 may filter electrical signals from the first conductive portion 510 in a band substantially equal to an operating frequency of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1). For example, the first filter circuit 514 may operate to remove and filter noise (e.g., a parasitic resonance) transmitted to the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna) through the first conductive portion 510 so as not to affect the operating frequency of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1). For example, the first filter circuit 514 may filter frequency components other than the operating frequency of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1). In an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 may include at least one of a diplexer, a low pass filter (LPF), and a high pass filter (HPF).

According to an embodiment, the second housing 220 (e.g., the second lateral member 223 in FIG. 2A) may include the third segmenting portion 503, the fourth segmenting portion 504, the third conductive portion 530, the fourth conductive portion 540, and/or the second printed circuit board 272. In an embodiment, the second printed circuit board 272 may be disposed with the second wireless communication module 192b (e.g., wireless communication circuit) and a second filter circuit 544. For example, the second printed circuit board 272 may include a third ground G3. According to various embodiments, the second housing 220 is not limited to the third segmenting portion 503 and the fourth segmenting portion 504, but may further include other segmenting portions.

According to an embodiment, the third segmenting portion 503 and the fourth segmenting portion 504 may be formed in a downward direction (e.g., in the −y axis direction) of the second housing 220. For example, the third segmenting portion 503 may be formed closer to the hinge module 320 than the fourth segmenting portion 504.

According to an embodiment, the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna A2) may be disposed between the third segmenting portion 503 and the fourth segmenting portion 504. For example, the fourth conductive portion 540 may be disposed between the third segmenting portion 503 and the hinge module 320. According to an embodiment, the third conductive portion 530 is electrically connected to the second wireless communication module 192b via the second feed point F2 and a sixth signal path S6 and may perform a function of the second antenna A2. The second wireless communication module 192b may be electrically connected to the processor 120. The processor 120 may control the second wireless communication module 192b to transmit a feeding signal to the second feed point F2 of the third conductive portion 530.

According to an embodiment, the fourth conductive portion 540 is electrically connected to the second wireless communication module 192b via the third feed point F3 and a seventh signal path S7 and may perform a function of the third antenna A3. The processor 120 may control the second wireless communication module 192b to transmit a feeding signal to the third feed point F3 of the fourth conductive portion 540.

According to an embodiment, the second filter circuit 544 may be electrically connected to the seventh signal path S7 that electrically connects the second wireless communication module 192b and the fourth conductive portion 540. For example, the second filter circuit 544 may have a first portion electrically connected to the seventh signal path S7 between the third feed point F3 and the second wireless communication module 192b via an eighth signal path S8, and a second portion electrically connected to the third ground G3. The second filter circuit 544 may include, for example, at least one capacitor (e.g., the capacitors 631 and 633 in FIG. 6) and at least one inductor (e.g., the inductor 635 in FIG. 6).

According to an embodiment, the second filter circuit 544 may enable the fourth conductive portion 540 to be shorted in response to the control of the processor 120 or the second wireless communication module 192b. The second filter circuit 544 may ensure isolation of the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna) that is adjacent to the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna) with the third segmenting portion 503 interposed therebetween. The second filter circuit 544 may support the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna) to operate independently without the influence of the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna). The second filter circuit 544 may operate to remove and filter noise (e.g., a parasitic resonance) transmitted to the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna) through the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna A3) so as not to affect an operating frequency of the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna). For example, the second filter circuit 544 may filter frequency components other than an operating frequency of the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna A3).

According to various embodiments, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, in case that the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1) of the first housing 210 and the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna A3) of the second housing 220 overlap or face each other, the second filter circuit 544 may operate to remove and filter noise transmitted to the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna A1) through the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna A3) so that the fourth conductive portion 540 (e.g., the third antenna A3) does not affect the operating frequency of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna). The second filter circuit 544 may include at least one of, for example, a diplexer, a low pass filter (LPF), and a high pass filter (HPF).

FIG. 6 is a view illustrating a constitution of portion B of the foldable electronic device illustrated in FIG. 5, according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

According to various embodiments, FIG. 6 may be a view illustrating the constitution of the matching circuit 512 and the first filter circuit 514 of the foldable electronic device 200 illustrated in FIG. 5, according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

Referring to FIG. 6, the matching circuit 512 according to an embodiment of the disclosure may include the switch 610 and at least one lumped element (e.g., a capacitor 605, a first inductor 621, a second inductor 623, and/or a third inductor 625).

According to an embodiment, the switch 610 may be electrically connected with the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and the third inductor 625. For example, the switch 610 may include a single pole fourth throw (SP4T) switch. In an embodiment, the switch 610 may select and adjust the time constant of the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and the third inductor 625. In various embodiments, the matching circuit 512 may include at least one switch 610.

According to an embodiment, the matching circuit 512 may determine capacitance and inductance values of the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and the third inductor 625 so that an electrical characteristic (e.g., electrical length) of the first conductive portion 510 may be controlled. For example, matching circuit 512 may determine capacitance and inductance values of the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and the third inductor 625 based on the operating frequency of the third conductive portion 530 (e.g., the second antenna). In an embodiment, the matching circuit 512 has been described as including the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and the third inductor 625, but may include any combination of at least one capacitor and/or at least one inductor, without being limited to the number described above, as long as the electrical characteristics of the first conductive portion 510 may be controlled.

According to an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 may be electrically connected to the third signal path S3 between the first conductive portion 510 and the matching circuit 512 using the fourth signal path S4. In an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 may be constituted that the first capacitor 631, the second capacitor 633, and the inductor 635 are connected in series. In an embodiment, the capacitance value of the first capacitor 631 and the second capacitor 633 of the first filter circuit 514 and the inductance value of the inductor 635 may change, for example, depending on the operating frequency of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna). In an embodiment, the first filter circuit 514 has been described as including the first capacitor 631, the second capacitor 633, and the inductor 635, but may include any combination of at least one capacitor and/or at least one inductor, without being limited to the number described above, as long as the isolation of the second conductive portion 520 (e.g., the first antenna) can be ensured. According to various embodiments, the constitution of the first filter circuit 514 described above may be substantially similarly applied to the second filter circuit 544. In an embodiment, the second filter circuit 544 may determine which lumped elements are included based on an operating frequency of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520.

FIG. 7 is a view schematically illustrating a constitution of the matching circuit according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

Referring to FIG. 7, the matching circuit 512 according to various embodiments of the disclosure may include at least one switch 610, or at least one passive element 620 that is electrically connected to a signal path (e.g., the third signal path S3) by the at least one switch 610, or that disconnects the electrical path (e.g., the example in FIG. 6: the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, the third inductor 625, or open)). The at least one passive element 620 may have different element values. The at least one passive element 620 (e.g., a lumped element) may include capacitors having various capacitance values (e.g., the capacitor 605 in FIG. 6) and/or inductors having various inductance values (e.g., the inductors 621, 623, and 625 in FIG. 6). The at least one switch 610 may selectively connect an element having a designated element value (e.g., a matching value) to the third signal path S3 under the control of the processor 120. In an embodiment, the at least one switch 610 may include a micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS) switch. The MEMS switch performs a mechanical switching operation by an internal metal plate, which has a complete turn on/off characteristic, and thus may substantially not affect changes in the radiation characteristics of the antenna. In some embodiments, the at least one switch 610 may include a single pole single throw (SPST), a single pole double throw (SPDT), or a switch including three or more throws (e.g., SP4T).

FIG. 8A is a view illustrating a change in radiation performance of the first antenna including the second conductive portion in response to an operating condition of the matching circuit of the foldable electronic device that does not include the first filter circuit, according to an embodiment of the disclosure. FIG. 8B is a view illustrating a change in radiation performance of a first antenna including a second conductive portion in response to an operating condition of the matching circuit of the foldable electronic device that includes the first filter circuit, according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

According to an embodiment, the foldable electronic device according to the comparative embodiment may not include the first filter circuit 514 according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

Referring to FIG. 8A, in the foldable electronic device according to the comparative embodiment that does not include the first filter circuit 514 according to an embodiment of the disclosure, radiation performance of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 may be degraded due to an electrical component of the first conductive portion 510, and it may be identified that deviation in radiation performance are more likely to occur depending on a situation of being electrically connected to a ground (e.g., the first ground G1) via at least one of the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and/or the third inductor 625 included in the matching circuit 512.

For example, in the foldable electronic device according to the comparative embodiment, radiation efficiency may be degraded in the band from about 2400 megahertz (MHz) to 2480 MHz, which is the operating frequency of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520, due to the electrical components of the first conductive portion 510, and deviation in radiation performance may occur significantly depending on an operating condition of the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and/or the third inductor 625 included in the matching circuit 512.

According to an embodiment, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, the first conductive portion 510 of the first housing 210 and the third conductive portion 530 of the second housing 220 (e.g., the second antenna A2) may overlap. In this case, in order to prevent degradation of the radiation performance of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530, when a state of electrical connection between the first conductive portion 510 and the first ground G1 changes via the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and/or the third inductor 625 of the matching circuit 512 connected to the first conductive portion 510, an electrical characteristic of the first conductive portion 510 changes, which may affect the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520. For example, when the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 is affected by the change in electrical characteristics of the first conductive portion 510, the radiation performance of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 may be degraded.

According to various embodiments, the foldable electronic device 200 according to an embodiment of the disclosure may utilize the first filter circuit 514 electrically connected to the first conductive portion 510 to reduce or prevent degradation of the radiation performance of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520. For example, the first filter circuit 514 may filter electrical signals from the first conductive portion 510 in a band substantially equal to the operating frequency of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520.

Referring to FIG. 8B, in the foldable electronic device 200 according to an embodiment of the disclosure including the first filter circuit 514 in the first conductive portion 510, the radiation performance of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 is improved by filtering the electrical signals of the first conductive portion 510 using the first filter circuit 514, and it may be identified that very little deviation in radiation performance occurs depending on the state of the electrical connection between the first conductive portion 510 and the first ground G1 via the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and/or the third inductor 625 included in the matching circuit 512.

For example, in the foldable electronic device 200 according to an embodiment of the disclosure, the radiation efficiency is improved in the band from about 2400 MHz to 2480 MHz, which is the operating frequency of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520, by filtering the electrical signal of the first conductive portion 510 using the first filter circuit 514, and changes in the state of electrical connection between the first conductive portion 510 and the first ground G1 via the capacitor 605, the first inductor 621, the second inductor 623, and/or the third inductor 625 included in the matching circuit 512 may cause little deviation in radiation performance.

FIG. 9A is a view illustrating a change in impedance of the third antenna including the fourth conductive portion in response to an operating condition of the matching circuit of the foldable electronic device that does not include the first filter circuit, according to an embodiment of the disclosure. FIG. 9B is a view illustrating a change in impedance of the third antenna including the fourth conductive portion in response to an operating condition of the matching circuit of the foldable electronic device that includes the first filter circuit, according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

According to an embodiment, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, in case that the second conductive portion 520 of the first housing 210 (e.g., the first antenna A1) and the fourth conductive portion 540 of the second housing 220 (e.g., the third antenna A3) overlap or face each other, the first filter circuit 514 may remove and filter noise transmitted through the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 to the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 when the matching circuit 512 is operated. According to an embodiment, the foldable electronic device according to the comparative embodiment may not include the first filter circuit 514 according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

When the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 of the foldable electronic device according to the comparative embodiment, which does not include the first filter circuit 514 according to an embodiment of the disclosure, are in the folded state, the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 of the first housing 210 may be disposed adjacent to the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 of the second housing 220. Referring to FIG. 9A, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 of the foldable electronic device is in the folded state, in the foldable electronic device according to the comparative embodiment that does not include the first filter circuit 514, it may be identified that change in the impedance characteristic of the operating frequency of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 diverges due to the influence of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 when the matching circuit 512 is operated. When a characteristic of impedance is changed at an operating frequency of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540, radiation performance of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 may be degraded or unstable.

According to various embodiments, the foldable electronic device 200 according to an embodiment of the disclosure may have the first filter circuit 514 disposed in the third signal path S3 between the first conductive portion 510 and the matching circuit 512. When the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, the first filter circuit 514 may filter electrical signals from the first conductive portion 510 in a band substantially equal to the operating frequency of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540.

The foldable electronic device 200, according to an embodiment of the disclosure, may include the first filter circuit 514 in the third signal path S3 between the first conductive portion 510 and the matching circuit 512. According to an embodiment, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 of the first housing 210 may be disposed adjacent to the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 of the second housing 220. Referring to FIG. 9B, when the matching circuit 512 is operated with the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 in the folded state, the foldable electronic device 200 according to an embodiment of the disclosure utilizes the first filter circuit 514 to filter electrical signals of the first conductive portion 510 and the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520. Therefore, it may be identified that the impedance characteristic converges to lower values or shows a stable change at the operating frequency of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540. When the impedance characteristic converges to lower values at the operating frequency of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540, the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 may maintain stable radiation performance.

FIG. 10 is a view comparing a bandwidth of a frequency band of the foldable electronic device that does not include the second filter circuit according to the comparative embodiment, and a bandwidth of a frequency band of the foldable electronic device that includes the second filter circuit according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

According to an embodiment, when the first housing 210 and the second housing 220 are in the folded state, the radiation performance of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 may be degraded in case that the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 of the first housing 210 and the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 of the second housing 220 overlap or face each other.

According to an embodiment, the second filter circuit 544 may be disposed to be electrically connected to the seventh signal path S7 between the second wireless communication module 192b and the fourth conductive portion 540 using the eighth signal path S8. The second filter circuit 544 may operate to remove and filter noise transmitted to the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 via the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540, so that the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 does not affect the operating frequency of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520.

Referring to FIG. 10, it may be identified an improvement of about 40 MHz to 60 MHz in a bandwidth A11 of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 after including the second filter circuit 544 according to an embodiment of the disclosure, compared to a bandwidth B1 of the first antenna A1 including the second conductive portion 520 before including the second filter circuit according to the comparative embodiment.

FIG. 11 is a view comparing interference of the second antenna including the third conductive portion and the third antenna including the fourth conductive portion of the foldable electronic device not including the second filter circuit according to the comparative embodiment, and interference of the second antenna including the third conductive portion and the third antenna including the fourth conductive portion of the foldable electronic device including the second filter circuit according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 12 is a view comparing radiation efficiency of the second antenna including the third conductive portion of the foldable electronic device not including the second filter circuit according to the comparative embodiment, and radiation efficiency of the second antenna including the third conductive portion of the foldable electronic device including the second filter circuit according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

According to an embodiment, the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530 may be disposed adjacent to the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 with the third segmenting portion 503 interposed therebetween. An electrical component of the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 may degrade radiation performance of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530. The second filter circuit 544 may operate to remove and filter noise of an electrical component transmitted to the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530 via the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540, thereby reducing or preventing an influence on the operating frequency of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530.

Referring to FIG. 11, it may be identified that interference A22 of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530 and the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 after including the second filter circuit 544 according to an embodiment of the disclosure is reduced in a frequency band of about 2.4 gigahertz (GHz), compared to interference B2 of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530 and the third antenna A3 including the fourth conductive portion 540 before including the second filter circuit 544 according to the comparative embodiment.

Referring to FIG. 12, it may be identified that radiation efficiency A33 of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530 after including the second filter circuit 544 according to an embodiment of the disclosure is improved by about 0.3 dB to 1 dB in a frequency band from about 2200 MHz to 2600 MHz, compared to radiation efficiency B3 of the second antenna A2 including the third conductive portion 530 before including the second filter circuit 544 according to the comparative embodiment.
