FOLDABLE PROTECTIVE COVER

Abstract

A foldable protective cover including a cover body movably covering outside of a foldable support; the support includes two support frames and at least two support rods; each of the support frames includes a cross bar and two support legs located at two ends of the cross bar respectively; each of the two support legs of each of the support frames is crossed and pivotally connected with one of the two support legs of the other support frame, where the crossed and pivotally connected support legs are located on same side of the support, with one of the crossed and pivotally connected support legs being outward from another; when the two support frames are unfolded, the support rods are arranged in parallel between the two cross bars. It is simple in structure, convenient to install, and small in storage volume.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to the technical field of outdoor electric appliances, and in particular to a foldable protective cover.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Conventional generators, air compressors and other household outdoor electric appliances, such as robotic pool cleaners and small air-conditioning outdoor units, cannot be used normally outdoors in rainy or windy conditions. Generators, for example, need to be covered with a protective cover made of cloth before being used in special weather or environments. The existing protective cover generally consists of a framework made of a hard metal material and a cover body made of a soft material such as cloth or tarpaulin, and the main functions are as follows:

• • 1. To provide shelter from rain to prevent water from entering the generator and affecting its use.
  • 2. To provide shade to prevent direct sunlight from overheating the generator and affecting its use.
  • 3. To provide windproof protection to prevent strong winds from affecting the operation of the generator's cooling fan.

However, the existing protective cover generally needs to be installed by consumers after purchase and comes with many components, which may result in unclear installation instructions and cumbersome disassembly steps; the storage volume is large after the installation, making the movement inconvenient; in addition, since generators requiring protective covers are not limited to the same specification, one protective cover cannot be suitable for generators of different specifications, making it inconvenient to use.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to overcome the defects in the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide a foldable protective cover which is simple in structure, convenient to install, and small in storage volume.

To fulfil the above object, the present invention provides the following technical solutions:

A foldable protective cover, comprising a cover body movably covering outside of a foldable support; the support comprises two support frames cross connected with each other and at least two support rods connected between the two support frames; each of the support frames comprises a cross bar and two support legs located at two ends of the cross bar respectively; each of the two support legs of each of the support frames is crossed and pivotally connected with one of the two support legs of the other support frame, where the crossed and pivotally connected support legs are located on same side of the support, with one of the crossed and pivotally connected support legs being outward from another; when the two support frames are unfolded, the two cross bars and the support rods form an upper support plane, and the support rods are arranged in parallel between the two cross bars.

Furthermore, the two ends of the cross bar of each of the support frames extend in same direction respectively to form the two support legs which are symmetrical to each other, and the support legs are perpendicular to the cross bar.

Furthermore, each of the support legs comprises an upper support leg and a lower support leg connected to an end portion of the upper support leg; the lower support leg is rotatable and foldable relative to an upper support leg; the upper support leg and the lower support leg are in sleeved connection with each other by at least one elastic cord at a connection portion therebetween.

Furthermore, each of the support rods is folded in half when the two support frames are folded and brought together; when the two support frames are unfolded, each of the support rods is extended and perpendicular to the two cross bars, and two ends of each of the support rods are sleeved on and slidable along the two cross bars respectively.

Furthermore, each of the support rods comprises a first support rod and a second support rod each having an inner end and an outer end; the inner ends of the first support rod and the second support rod are foldably connected by a first connector; each of the outer ends of the first support rod and the second support rod are rotatably connected to a second connector which is sleeved on the cross bars of one of the support frames.

Furthermore, at least one hook and loop fastener or releasable nylon tie is connected to each of the supporting rods.

Furthermore, an outdoor electric appliance is placed in the unfolded support; two sides of the outdoor electric appliance each is provided with a top support rod on a top side of the outdoor electric appliance; the support rods are supported on the top support rods in a crosswise manner; intersections between the support rods and the top support rods are connected by the hook and loop fasteners or the releasable nylon ties respectively.

Furthermore, the cover body corresponds to the unfolded support in shape; the cover body comprises a top cloth and four side cloths; at least one of the four side cloths is provided with an opening which is detachably connected with a covering cloth capable of shielding the opening.

Furthermore, at least one fixing hook is provided at a bottom of the cover body and above a bottom of the support legs; the bottom of each of the support legs of the support is provided with a hollow fixing hole; when the cover body covers the support, each of the fixing hooks is hooked in the fixing hole of a corresponding support leg located therebelow.

With the above technical solutions, the present invention is foldable by pivotally connecting support legs of the two support frames; the foldable support rods ensure the support stability of the support. It is simple in structure and saves the disassembling or assembling steps. When it is not in use, applying external force to bring the two support frames together and the support rods could be folded simultaneously, such that the two support frames are brought together. It is easy and convenient to operate and the storage volume is small.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To further explain the technical solutions of the present invention, a detailed description of the present invention is provided hereinafter through specific embodiments.

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIGS. 7 to 9, the present invention discloses a foldable protective cover which comprises a cover body 3 movably covering outside of a foldable support A, wherein the support A comprises two support frames 1 cross connected with each other and at least two support rods 2 connected between the two support frames; each of the support frames 1 comprises a horizontal cross bar 11 and two support legs 12 located at two ends of the cross bar 11 respectively; each of the two support legs 12 of each of the support frames 1 is crossed and pivotally connected with one of the two support legs of the other support frame, where the crossed and pivotally connected support legs are located on same side of the support A, with one of the crossed and pivotally connected support legs being outward from another; the two crossed and pivotally supported legs 12 form a side support surface A1 when the two support frames 1 are unfolded; the two cross bars 11 and the support rods 2 form an upper support plane A2 when the two support frames 1 are unfolded, and the support rods 2 are arranged in parallel between the two cross bars 11.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, schematic diagrams of the processes of folding the support A from fully unfolded to fully folded are provided. The foldable protective cover of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. In the support frame 1 of this embodiment, the two ends of the cross bar 11 extend in the same direction respectively to form the two support legs 12 which are symmetrical to each other, and the support legs 12 are perpendicular to the cross bar 11 so that the support frame can form a U-shaped support. Further, referring to FIG. 4, in order to further save the storage space for the protective cover support, the support leg 12 of the support frame 1 comprises a lower support leg 122 that is movably connected to an end portion of an upper support leg 121, so that the lower support leg 122 can rotate and fold relative to the upper support leg 121. In this embodiment, the upper support leg 121 and the lower support leg 121 may be directly connected through sleeved connection by at least one elastic cord 123 at a connection portion therebetween. Two ends of the elastic cord 123 are respectively connected to the inner ends of the upper support leg 121 and the lower support leg 122. When the two support frames 1 are rotated and folded to a state where the crossing angle of the two support legs 12 is the minimum, the upper end of the lower support leg 122 may be pulled out from the lower end of the upper support leg 121, and due to the flexible connection of the elastic cord 123, the lower support leg 122 may be rotated to a better folding angle relative to the upper support leg 121, and the two can be brought together to save the storage space.

In this embodiment, two support rods 2 are provided between two opposite cross bars 11. When the support is fully unfolded, the support rods 2 are extended and supported between the two cross bars 11; the two support rods 2 are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the two cross bars 11, and two ends of the support rods 2 are sleeved on the cross bars 11 respectively and can slide along the cross bars 11. At this time, the support rods 2 may maintain the stability of the upper support plane, and the crossing angle of the two support legs 12 in the side support surface is not likely to change due to an external force so that the support is kept in a stable unfolded state. Preferably, since the support of this embodiment is foldable, in order to conform to the folding of the two support frames 1 and further reduce the storage volume, the two support rods 2 are folded in half and foldably connected between the two cross bars 11 respectively when the two support frames 1 are folded and brought together. Referring to FIGS. 2 to 4, specifically, the support rod 2 comprises a first support rod 21 and a second support rod 22. The inner ends of the first support rod 21 and the second support rod 22 are foldably connected by a first connector 23, each of the outer ends of the first support rod 21 and the second support rod 22 are rotatably connected to a second connector 24, and the second connector 24 may be sleeved on the cross bar 11 of one of the two support frames 1. In this embodiment, the first connector 23 may be a one-way connector that allows downward folding of the first and second support rods; in the second connector 24, the outer ends of the first or second support rod may be pivotally connected to a pivot groove formed at the front end of the second connector 24, and the rear end of the second connector 24 may be sleeved on the cross bar 11 and may slide along the cross bar 11. When the support is folded, the cross bars 11 of the two support frames 1 lean inwards, the inner ends of the first support rod 21 and the second support rod 22 rotate in the first connector 23 to fold the first support rod 21 and the second support rod 22 (as shown in FIG. 3), and then the outer ends of the first support rod 21 and the second support rod 22 rotate in the second connectors 24 so that the folded support rods 2 lean against the side edges of the cross bars 11 after rotating (as shown in FIG. 4), thereby saving storage volume.

As shown in FIG. 5, at least one hook and loop fastener 41 may be connected to each of the support rods 2, and in this embodiment, two hook and loop fasteners 41 are provided on each of the two support rods 2. As shown in FIG. 6, at least one releasable nylon tie 42 is connected to each of the support rods 2, and in this embodiment, two releasable nylon ties 42 are provided on each of the two support rods 2. When the protective cover is used, an outdoor electric appliance 5 is placed in the unfolded support A, and the outdoor electric appliance 5 may be a generator, an air compressor, a robotic pool cleaner, a small air-conditioning outdoor unit or the like. When the height of the outdoor electric appliance 5 is higher than the height of the unfolded support, in order to form the connection between the outdoor electric appliance 5 and the support A, two sides of the outdoor electric appliance 5 each is provided with a top support rod 51 on a top side of the outdoor electric appliance. When the support A is supported on the outside of the outdoor electric appliance 5, the support rods 2 are supported on the top support rods 51 in a crosswise manner, and if the support rods 2 are not located on the top support rods 51, the support rods 2 may slide along the cross bars 11 until they are supported on the top support rods 51. When the support rods 2 are supported on the top support rods 51 in a crosswise manner, the support rods 2 and the top support rods 51 may be tied, connected, or positioned at the intersections by using the hook and loop fasteners 41 or the releasable nylon ties 42. For example, the hook and loop fasteners 41 are bonded and fixed after being wound around the intersections between the support rods 2 and the top support rods 51, and when fixation is not needed, the hook and loop fasteners are torn off to release the fixation; alternatively, the intersections between the support rods 2 and the top support rods 51 are sleeved with the releasable nylon ties 42 for fixation, and when fixation is not needed, the releasable nylon ties 42 are released by the releasable buckles.

Referring to FIGS. 7 to 9, the cover body 3 covers the outside of the foldable support A described above to form a foldable protective cover, and the cover body 3 corresponds to the unfolded support of the protective cover in shape. In this embodiment, the cover body 3 comprises a top cloth 31 and four side cloths 32. In order to facilitate the cover body 3 to be connected to the support A, at least one fixing hook 33 is provided at the bottom of the cover body 3 and above the bottom of the support legs 12. In this embodiment, a fixing hook 33 is provided at the bottom of each of the intersections of the adjoining side cloths 32, and a hollow fixing hole 124 is provided at the bottom of each of the support legs 12 in the support A. When the cover body 3 covers the support A, each of the fixing hooks 33 may be hooked in the fixing hole 124 of the support leg located therebelow correspondingly so that the cover body 3 is fixed and covered on the support A, and can tightly stretched against the support frame when the support is fully unfolded.

Furthermore, in order to effectively dissipate heat from the outdoor electric appliance 5 located in the cover body 3 during operation, at least one of the side cloths 32 of the cover body 3 is provided with an opening 321, and a covering cloth 322 capable of shielding the opening 321 is detachably connected to the opening 321. When the opening 321 needs to be opened, the covering cloth 322 is simply detached or folded back. The covering cloth 322 may be formed into a detachable connection by using a zipper, a hook and loop fastener or the like. In this embodiment, the opening 321 with an open bottom is formed in the side cloth 32 of the cover body 3, and the covering cloth 322 may be formed by cutting the opening 321 on the side cloth 32. The top edge of the covering cloth 322 is located on the side cloth 32, and two side edges of the covering cloth 322 may be movably connected to two side edges of the opening 321 by using a zipper (not shown in the figure). A connecting buckle 34 is provided above the top edge of the covering cloth in the outer side surface of the side cloth 32, and a connecting ring 35 may be provided at the inner side of the side cloth 32 above the opening 321. The connecting ring 35 may be a circular cloth cover, and the rolled covering cloth 322 may be fixed by using the connecting buckle 34 to buckle into the connecting ring 35 so that the opened opening 321 is formed in the side cloth 32, as shown in FIG. 7.

The present invention is mainly used in outdoor electric appliances that need to be used outdoors. Taking a generator as an example, the present invention has at least the following beneficial effects:

• • 1. The support frames 1 and the support rods 2 may be synchronously folded as a whole, so as to optimize the structure of the support A. Based on the simple structure, steps of unfolding and folding the support become simple and convenient, and no complicated installation steps are required, thereby improving the convenience of use.
  • 2. The support A is small in volume after being folded, thereby facilitating storage.

3. Different functional effects, such as keeping out the wind and rain, can be achieved by selecting different cloths of the cover body 3, and since the cover body 3 is separated from the generator by the support A, the cover body 3 will not be pressed closely against the generator and affect heat dissipation.

4. The present invention is suitable for generators of different specifications. When the height of a generator is high, the present invention can be entirely supported on the top side of the generator, and the support legs do not touch the bottom surface; and when the generator is small, the support legs are supported on the ground, and the protective cover covers the whole generator inside.

Any modification, equivalent substitution, improvement, and the like made without departing from the spirit and principle of the present invention shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A foldable protective cover, comprising a cover body movably covering outside of a foldable support; the support comprises two support frames cross connected with each other and at least two support rods connected between the two support frames; each of the support frames comprises a cross bar and two support legs located at two ends of the cross bar respectively; each of the two support legs of each of the support frames is crossed and pivotally connected with one of the two support legs of the other support frame, where the crossed and pivotally connected support legs are located on same side of the support, with one of the crossed and pivotally connected support legs being outward from another; when the two support frames are unfolded, the two cross bars and the support rods form an upper support plane, and the support rods are arranged in parallel between the two cross bars.

2. The foldable protective cover of claim 1, wherein the two ends of the cross bar of each of the support frames extend in same direction respectively to form the two support legs which are symmetrical to each other, and the support legs are perpendicular to the cross bar.

The foldable protective cover of claim 1, wherein each of the support legs comprises an upper support leg and a lower support leg connected to an end portion of the upper support leg; the lower support leg is rotatable and foldable relative to an upper support leg; the upper support leg and the lower support leg are in sleeved connection with each other by at least one elastic cord at a connection portion therebetween.

The foldable protective cover of claim 1, wherein each of the support rods is folded in half when the two support frames are folded and brought together; when the two support frames are unfolded, each of the support rods is extended and perpendicular to the two cross bars, and two ends of each of the support rods are sleeved on and slidable along the two cross bars respectively.

The foldable protective cover of claim 4, wherein each of the support rods comprises a first support rod and a second support rod each having an inner end and an outer end; the inner ends of the first support rod and the second support rod are foldably connected by a first connector; each of the outer ends of the first support rod and the second support rod are rotatably connected to a second connector which is sleeved on the cross bar of one of the support frames.

6. The foldable protective cover of claim 1, wherein at least one hook and loop fastener or releasable nylon tie is connected to each of the supporting rods.

The foldable protective cover of claim 6, wherein an outdoor electric appliance is placed in the unfolded support; two sides of the outdoor electric appliance each is provided with a top support rod on a top side of the outdoor electric appliance; the support rods are supported on the top support rods in a crosswise manner; intersections between the support rods and the top support rods are connected by the hook and loop fasteners or the releasable nylon ties respectively.

The foldable protective cover of claim 1, wherein the cover body corresponds to the unfolded support in shape; the cover body comprises a top cloth and four side cloths; at least one of the four side cloths is provided with an opening which is detachably connected with a covering cloth capable of shielding the opening.

The foldable protective cover of claim 1, wherein at least one fixing hook is provided at a bottom of the cover body and above a bottom of the support legs; the bottom of each of the support legs of the support is provided with a hollow fixing hole; when the cover body covers the support, each of the fixing hooks is hooked in the fixing hole of a corresponding support leg located therebelow.
