Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a foldable wheelchair ramp with high stability.

2. Description of Related Art

Wheelchair ramp is a device that facilitates the passage of a wheelchair through the steps. In real life, not all the steps are provided with a smooth ramp at the sides for wheelchair passage. Therefore, in the case of such a situation, the wheelchair user can only be carried over the steps with his back and then the wheelchair is carried over the steps alone, or the wheelchair and the user sitting on the wheelchair are lifted over the steps together. This way of passing is extremely cumbersome and labor-intensive, and cannot be done by one person. However, a wheelchair ramp at hand can quickly build a smooth ramp on the side of the steps for the wheelchair to quickly pass the steps. The traditional wheelchair ramp is a simple board structure, one end of which is attached at an elevated place, and the other end is supported on the ground. The stability of the wheelchair ramp is only secured by the two ends, and the middle position of the wheelchair ramp does not have enough strength to bear the pressure. Therefore, when wheelchair passes to the middle position of the wheelchair ramp, it is prone to be shaking and unstable, and very easy to cause accidents or collapse, which imposes a hidden danger of insecurity.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Please refer to FIG. 1 to FIG. 7 for the foldable wheelchair ramp of the present invention, comprising a wheelchair board 1 which is composed of a left access board 2 and a right access board 3. The right side of the left access board 2 and the left side of the right access board 3 are hinged by a plurality of horizontally even-distributed hinge devices 30. The left access board 2 is composed of a plurality of horizontally distributed left folding boards 4, and the right access board 3 is composed of a plurality of horizontally distributed right folding boards 5. A folding device 40 is used to hinge between two of the left folding boards 4, and also used to hinge between two of the right folding boards 5. The folding device 40 is connected with a matching supporting device 50. The left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5 are both provided with an attachment board 101 at the frontmost end.

In order to facilitate the understanding of the left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5, in the drawings of the present invention, a front left folding board 41 and a rear left folding board 42 are used to represent a plurality of left folding boards 4, and a front right folding board 51 and a rear right folding board 52 are used to represent a plurality of right folding boards 5.

The folding device 40 comprises a rear hinge board 6 provided under the left front and the right front of the rear left folding board 42 and under the left front and the right front of the rear right folding board 52, and two front hinge boards 7 provided under the left rear and the right rear of the front left folding board 41 and under the left rear and the right rear of the front right folding board 51. There is a hinge gap 8 between the two front hinge boards 7 to allow the front end of the rear hinge board 6 to penetrate, and the two front hinge boards 7 and the one rear hinge board 6 is brought to hinge with a hinge shaft 9.

The supporting device 50 comprises a U-shaped support frame 10; the support frame 10 comprises adjusting rods 11 located on the left and right sides thereof, and the outer surface of the adjusting rod 11 is provided with an external thread 12; the end of the adjusting rod 11 is bolted with a supporting arm 13 through the external thread 12, and the end of the supporting arm 13 is connected with the hinge shaft 9; the adjusting rod 11 is screwed with a plurality of adjusting nuts 14; two symmetrically arranged hinge seats 15 are respectively provided on the left and right sides of the lower surface of the front left folding board 41 and also on the left and right sides of the lower surface of the front right folding board 51; the hinge seat 15 is hinged with a limit rod 16, and the left and the right limit rods 16 are connected by a connecting rod 17; the distance between the left and the right limit rods 16 is greater than the distance between the left and the right adjusting rods 11, and the limit rod 16 can be stuck on the end face of the adjusting nut 14; the limit rod 16, the adjusting rod 11, the supporting arm 13, and the left folding board 4 or the right folding boards 5 enclose a triangular structure.

The left folding board 4 (i.e. the front left folding board 41, the rear left folding board 42) and the right folding board 5 (i.e. the front right folding board 51 and the rear right folding board 52) are provided with a plurality of screw sockets 18 corresponding to the position of the support frame 10; a limit screw 19 is threaded on the screw socket 18; the thread of the limit screw 19 is sleeved with a magnet ring 20, wherein the inner diameter of the magnet ring 20 is larger than the outer diameter of the thread of the limit screw 19, the inner diameter of the magnet ring 20 is smaller than the outer diameter of the head of the limit screw 19, and the magnet ring 20 moves along the thread of the limit screw 19 through its inner hole; the support frame 10 is made of a metal material which can be attracted to the magnet ring 20.

The adjusting rod 11 is sleeved with an anti-wear sleeve 21 adjacent to the adjusting nut 14 and located above the adjusting nut 14, which can avoid direct contact between the external thread 12 and the limit rod 16 as well as the wear of the external thread 12. Since the inner diameter of the anti-wear sleeve 21 is larger than the diameter of the adjusting rod 11, the anti-wear sleeve 21 will move up and down when the adjusting nut 14 moves up and down.

The upper surfaces of the left folding board 4, the right folding board 5, and the attachment board 101 are all provided with a plurality of horizontally even-distributed anti-skid strips 22, which can improve the friction force and avoid accidents caused by the excessive speed of the wheelchair.

The hinge device 30 is a hinge 23. The connecting boards 2301 and 2302 on the left and right sides of the hinge 23 are fixed on the left access board 2 and the right access board 3 by screws 2303.

The lower surface of the attachment board 101 is provided with a plurality of evenly distributed anti-slip teeth 24 in a horizontal strip shape, which can improve the friction force between the attachment board 101 and the elevated step surface to achieve the anti-slip effect and the stability of the wheelchair ramp.

The included angle formed between the lower surface of the attachment board 101 and the lower surfaces of the left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5 at the frontmost sides is an obtuse angle. In this way, it can be ensured that the gradient of the wheelchair ramp after the placement of the attachment board 101 is small to allow the wheelchair to pass the wheelchair ramp gently.

The left edge of the left access board 2 and the right edge of the right access board 3 all extend upwardly to form a baffle 25, which can prevent accidents caused by the wheelchair moving out of the wheelchair ramp.

The application of the present invention is as follows:

When the wheelchair ramp is not in use, it can be folded to reduce the space for placement and transportation. When folding, one hand can hold the connecting rod 17 while the other hand holds the support frame 10. The hand holding the connecting rod 17 can drive the limit rod 16 to swing with the hinge seat 15 as the center, so that the limit rod 16 can leave the adjusting nut 14 without being restricted. At this time, the other hand can swing the support frame 10 with the hinge shaft 9 as the center, so that the adjusting rod 11 of the support frame 10 can be separated from the limit rods 16 located at the left and right sides. Then, one can continue to rotate the limit rod 16 to make it close to the lower part of the left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5, and the support frame 10 is also close to the lower part of the left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5.

When the support frame 10 approaches to a certain extent, the magnet ring 20 will attract the support frame 10 to fix it to the lower part of the left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5. At this moment, the support frame 10 presses the connecting rod 17 to the lower part of the left folding board 4 and the right folding board 5, so that the limit rod 16 is limited to achieve a fixed effect.

Then, the front hinge board 7 and the rear hinge board 6 are used to fold the left and right folding boards 4, 5, respectively. Next, the left access board 2 and the right access board 3 are hinged by a plurality of hinge devices 30. The hinge device is a hinge 23, and the connecting boards 2301, 2302 on the left and right sides of the hinge 23 are fixed on the left and right access boards 2, 3 by screws. The left access board 2 is composed of a plurality of left folding boards 4, and the right access board 3 is composed of a plurality of right folding boards 5. Therefore, after the left and right folding boards 4 and 5 complete their respective folding, the left and right folding boards 4 and 5 are folded through the hinge 23 to reduce the space occupied by the wheelchair ramp.

Before applying the wheelchair ramp, reverse the operation of the above folding sequence to unfold the wheelchair ramp. At this time, the left access board 2 formed by the unfolded left folding board 4 and the right access board 3 formed by the unfolded right folding board 5 can be used for the wheels of the wheelchair to roll, and the wheelchair can smoothly pass the steps along the left and right access boards 2, 3. When using a wheelchair ramp, the front end of the left access board 2 and the front end of the right access board 3 are laid on the edge of the elevated steps by using the attachment board 101, while the rear end of the left access board 2 and the rear end of the right access board 3 are pressed against the bottom surface to provide support to the front and rear ends of the wheelchair ramp respectively, and the supporting device 50 enables the suspended portion of the wheelchair ramp to be supported again, which improves the strength and bearing pressure of the wheelchair ramp.

When the supporting device 50 is applied, the support frame 10 can be swung according to the gradient of the wheelchair ramp after placement, so that the lower end of the support frame 10 is pressed against the ground. In the process of swinging the support frame, the limit rod 16 is rotated according to the final swing angle of the support frame 10 to make the limit rod 16 move above the appropriate adjusting nut 14. At this time, the limit rod 16, the adjusting rod 11, and the supporting arm 13 enclose a stable triangular structure with either the left folding board 4 or the right folding boards 5 to achieve the best support effect. Furthermore, due to the places where the wheelchair ramp is placed are different, the suspended height of the middle portion of the wheelchair ramp is also different. However, in the presence of multiple adjusting nuts 14, no matter how much angles the support frame 10 swings, the limit bar 16 can be stuck on one of the appropriate adjusting nuts 14.

In summary, the folding device of the present invention can fold the wheelchair ramp by the hinge device, which effectively reduces the space occupied by the wheelchair ramp and facilitates the placement and transportation of the wheelchair ramp. In the case of more supporting points, by means of the supporting device to support the suspended portion of wheelchair ramp, the strength of the wheelchair ramp can be effectively improved, withstand greater pressure, and ensure that the wheelchair achieves high stability when passing the wheelchair ramp, so as to avoid shaking caused by insufficient strength of the wheelchair ramp and accidents, and greatly increase the safety.
