The disclosure and prior art relates to cleaning devices and more particularly pertains to a new cleaning device for cleaning feet in a shower.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a housing that is selectively positioned in a shower. A first scrubber is coupled to the housing and the first scrubber selectively and frictionally engages a bottom of a foot thereby facilitating the first scrubber to scrub the bottom of the foot. A pad is coupled to the housing and the pad selectively frictionally engages a heel thereby facilitating the pad to massage and clean the heel. A cleaning unit is movably coupled to the housing and the cleaning unit may clean between toes on the foot. The cleaning unit is selectively turned on to frictionally engage the foot between the toes.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A plurality of mating members 28 is provided and each of the mating members 28 is coupled to the bottom wall 20 of the housing 12. Each of the mating members 28 engages the shower 16 thereby inhibiting the housing 12 from sliding in the shower 16. Moreover, each of the mating members 28 has a first end 30 and a second end 32, and the first end 30 corresponding to each of the mating members 28 is coupled to the bottom wall 20. Each of the mating members 28 flares outwardly between the first end 30 and the second end 32 to define a suction cup. In this way each of the mating members 28 suctionally engages the shower 16 to inhibit the housing 12 from sliding in the shower 16.
A first scrubber 34 is coupled to the housing 12 and the first scrubber 34 frictionally engages a bottom 36 of a foot 38 thereby facilitating the first scrubber 34 to scrub the bottom 36 of the foot 38. The first scrubber 34 is positioned on the top wall 18 of the housing 12 and the first scrubber 34 is centrally positioned on the top wall 18. The first scrubber 34 may be comprised of an abrasive material thereby facilitating the first scrubber 34 to abrade dead skin cells, dirt and other material from the bottom 36 of the foot 38.
A pad 40 is coupled to the housing 12 and the pad 40 frictionally engages a heel 42 on the foot 38 thereby facilitating the pad 40 to massage and clean the heel 42. The pad 40 is positioned on the top wall 18 of the housing 12 and the pad 40 may be positioned between the first scrubber 34 and the front side 24 of the housing 12. The pad 40 may be comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as rubber or the like.
A cleaning unit 44 is movably coupled to the housing 12 to clean between toes 45 on the foot 38. The cleaning unit 44 is selectively turned on such that the cleaning unit 44 frictionally engages the foot 38 between the toes 45. The cleaning unit 44 comprises a pair of rods 46, each having a primary end 48 and a secondary end 50. Each of the rods 46 extends through the top wall 18 of the housing 12 such that the secondary end 50 is positioned within the housing 12. Moreover, each of the rods 46 positioned between the toes 45 the when foot 38 is positioned on the housing 12. The rods 46 are spaced apart from each other and each of the rods 46 may be positioned between the first scrubber 34 and the back side 26 of the housing 12. The top wall 18 of the housing 12 may be sealed around each of the rods 46, with a gasket or the like, thereby inhibiting water from entering the housing 12.
A pair of second scrubbers 52 is provided and each of the second scrubbers 52 is wrapped around an associated one of the rods 46. In this way each of the second scrubbers 52 may scrub between the toes 45. Each of the second scrubbers 52 may be comprised of an abrasive material to abrade dead skin cells, dirt and other material from between the toes 45. A motor 54 is positioned within the housing 12 and a drive gear 56 is coupled to the motor 54 such that the motor 54 rotates the drive gear 56 when the motor 54 is turned on. The motor 54 may be an electric motor 54 or the like.
A pair of driven gears 58 is provided and each of the driven gears 58 is coupled to the secondary end 50 corresponding to an associated one of the rods 46. Each of the driven gears 58 engages the drive gear 56 such that the drive gear 56 rotates each of the driven gears 58 when the motor 54 is turned on. Moreover, each of the driven gears 58 rotates the associated rod when the motor 54 is turned on.
A switch 60 is movably coupled to the housing 12 and the switch 60 is selectively manipulated. The switch 60 is electrically coupled to the motor 54 such that the switch 60 turns the motor 54 on and off. A power supply 62 is positioned within the housing 12 and the power supply 62 is electrically coupled to the motor 54. The power supply 62 comprises at least one battery. The back side 26 of the housing 12 may be removable to access an interior of the housing 12 and the power supply 62 may be positioned behind the back side 26.
In use, the housing 12 is positioned in the shower 16, bathtub and other bathing enclosure to facilitate the mating members 28 to engage the shower 16. The foot 38 is selectively urged back and forth along the first scrubber 34 thereby facilitating the bottom 36 of the foot 38 to be scrubbed. The positioning of the housing 12 on the floor 14 facilitates the bottom 36 of the foot 38 to be cleaned without bending over thereby reducing the likelihood of injury resulting from falling in the shower 16.
The switch 60 is selectively manipulated to turn the motor 54 on and rotate each of the rods 46. The foot 38 is positioned such that each of the rods 46 is positioned between selected toes 45 on the foot 38. Thus, the second scrubbers 52 scrub between the toes 45 thereby enhancing cleanliness of the foot 38 and inhibiting infections such as athlete's foot, toe nail fungus and other foot infections. The switch 60 is manipulated to turn the motor 54 off when the foot 38 is cleaned.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
