Claims
- 1. Fortimicin KG.sub.3, a composition of matter which has antibacterial activity, the structural formula: ##STR8## and the following physicochemical properties: (1) Melting point: 135.degree.-138.degree. C.,
- (2) Specific rotation: [.alpha.].sub.D.sup.20 =+185.degree. (c=0.265, H.sub.2 O),
- (3) Infrared absorption spectrum (KBr): 3370, 2940, 1640, 1580, 1462, 1110 cm.sup.-1 and
- (4) The CMR spectrum [deuterium oxide solution containing deuteriochloric acid (pD=1.2)]: .delta.(ppm): 168.8, 146.7, 99.5, 95.9, 76.1, 73.9, 71.4, 66.5, 57.3, 54.2, 52.9, 49.6, 47.2, 41.4, 32.8, 22.2, 16.9.
