Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to the field of false walls, and more particularly backlit false walls.

The present disclosure relates more particularly to a frame section for producing a backlit false wall, having a section body of tubular shape comprising a peripheral wall, a first longitudinal cavity having an opening onto the peripheral wall and comprising means for attaching at least one canvas, a second longitudinal cavity having an opening onto the peripheral wall and accommodating lighting means.

The frame section is intended, in particular, but not exclusively, for producing a backlit three-dimensional structure made from stretched canvas(es).

BACKGROUND

In a known manner, false walls, in particular, false ceilings, comprise one or more frame(s), generally metallic, on which one or two flexible canvas(es) having a certain elasticity are attached, stretched. To do this, the canvases in question are provided with attachment means that can be attached to appropriate areas provided for this purpose on the frame sections.

There are many configurations of frame sections for producing a false wall integrating lighting means. Among these, that of the patent application EP2993280 is known, which comprises two contiguous recesses separated by a tongue and intended to receive the attachment means for attaching two stretched canvases and at least one notch for accommodating a light source. The advantage of such a frame section is that it allows the production of a backlit three-dimensional structure with circular and/or curved shapes.

However, although the latter provides satisfactory backlighting, the frame section of the aforementioned application, like all the frame sections of the prior art, creates peripheral shadow zones.

BRIEF SUMMARY

The invention aims to remedy this problem by proposing a frame section for producing a backlit false wall, optimally limiting the peripheral shadow created by any section when the latter is used in a backlit context.

Another object of the invention is to propose a frame section making it possible to produce backlit three-dimensional structures of circular and/or curved shapes.

To this end, and according to a first aspect, the present disclosure proposes a frame section for producing a backlit false wall, having a section body of tubular shape comprising a peripheral wall, a first and a second longitudinal cavity that each have an opening onto the peripheral wall, the first cavity comprising means for attaching at least one canvas, the second cavity accommodating lighting means, the frame section being remarkable in that the second cavity comprises an end wall bordered by two diverging cavity walls that delimit the opening of the second cavity.

Advantageously, each cavity wall is inclined relative to the end wall at an angle of inclination between 110 degrees and 130 degrees.

Advantageously, the ratio between the height of the end wall and the height of the opening of the second cavity is between 0.4 and 0.5.

Advantageously, the ratio between the depth of the end wall and the height of the opening of the second cavity is between 0.3 and 0.4.

Advantageously, the second cavity has a trapezoidal shape.

Advantageously, the first and second cavities open onto the peripheral wall in a direction opposite one another.

Advantageously, the peripheral wall defines a junction edge with the cavity walls.

Advantageously, the peripheral wall has two lateral faces, a flat upper face and a flat lower face, the opening of the second cavity (4) opening onto one of the lateral faces and being delimited by the upper and lower faces. This arrangement has the advantage of eliminating the residual shadow zones created by the section when it is used in a backlit context. Advantageously, the other lateral face onto which the opening of the first cavity opens has a rounded shape.

The present disclosure also relates to a backlit false wall comprising a frame comprising an arrangement of butt-jointed frame sections and at least one flexible canvas attached to the frame via attachment means provided at the edge of the canvas, characterized in that each frame section is as described above and in that at least one frame section comprises lighting means accommodated in the second longitudinal cavity.

Advantageously, the lighting means are mounted on the end wall of the second cavity.

Advantageously, the flexible canvas is translucent or transparent.

The advantage of a frame section thus arranged is to offer optimum light diffusion while limiting the peripheral shadows created by the section when it is used in a backlit context.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Other features and advantages of the present disclosure will become apparent from the following detailed description of the present disclosure with reference to the accompanying the FIGURE, in which:

FIG. 1 shows a frame section according to the present disclosure for producing a backlit false wall.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In relation to the single the FIGURE, there is described an example of a frame section 1 intended to constitute, with similar frame sections, a frame on which one or two stretched flexible canvas(es) can be fastened to create a backlit false wall.

To facilitate the description, the frame section 1 will be described with respect to its position illustrated in the FIGURE.

The frame section 1 comprises a tubular section body having a peripheral wall 2 defining a first and a second lateral face 20, 21 that are connected to each other by an upper face 22 and a lower face 23. In the embodiment shown, the upper and lower faces 22, 23 are substantially flat, while the first lateral face 20 is rounded. In the example shown, the radius of curvature of the first lateral face 20 is identical to the width of the section body, which in turn is identical to the height of the section body.

The section body comprises a first cavity 3 extending over the entire length of the body and having an opening on the first lateral face 20. The first cavity 3, advantageously of parallelepipedal section, forms a cavity for attaching stretched canvas.

In the illustrated embodiment, it is arranged to allow the attachment of two stretched canvases. To do this, it comprises an inner wing 5 extending from the bottom of the first cavity 3 toward the opening of the cavity, so as to define, within the first cavity 3, two symmetrical housings 30, 31 allowing the respective attachment of a canvas. The attachment of the canvases on the frame section 1 is carried out by means of shoulders 6, 7, 8 advantageously arranged on each face of the inner wing 5 as well as on the inner faces of the upper and lower walls of the section body. These shoulders 6, 7, 8 are arranged to allow the attachment of attachment means, of the harpoon type, provided at the edge of the canvas.

The section body comprises a second cavity 4 extending over the entire length of the body and having an opening 40 on the second lateral face 21. The first and second cavities 3, 4 thus open in a direction opposite one another.

The second cavity 4 forms a lighting means receiving cavity 9. It has an end wall 41 bordered by two diverging cavity walls 42, 43. The two cavity walls 42, 43 delimit, with the upper and lower faces 22, 23, the opening 40. The cavity walls 42, 43 thus define, with the upper and lower faces 22, 23, two peripheral wings of triangular section. In the illustrated embodiment, the second cavity 4 has a trapezoidal shape, advantageously isosceles. Advantageously, the cavity walls 42, 43 inclined relative to the end wall 41 at an angle of inclination α between 110 degrees and 130 degrees. Such an arrangement of the frame section makes it possible to minimize the residual peripheral shadows created by the section when it is used in a backlit context.

According to an advantageous configuration, the end wall 41 is located at a distance from the opening less than or equal to half the distance separating the ends of the upper and lower faces 22, 23 that delimit the opening 40. More generally, the second cavity 4 will be arranged to present a ratio between the height (h1) of the end wall 41 and the height (h2) of the opening 40 of the second cavity 4 between 0.4 and 0.5 (h2 corresponding to the distance separating the ends of the upper and lower faces 22, 23). Similarly, it will be advantageous to arrange the second cavity 4 so that the latter presents a ratio between the depth (p) of the end wall 41 and the height (h2) of the opening of the second cavity between 0.3 and 0.4. Such an arrangement of the frame section thus makes it possible to obtain optimum light diffusion while limiting the residual peripheral shadows created by the section when it is used in a backlit context.

The present disclosure is described in the foregoing by way of example. It is understood that a person skilled in the art is in a position to produce various variant embodiments of the present disclosure without thereby departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the claims.
