Claims
- 1. A frameless chair, comprising:
a unitary outer liner, wherein the unitary outer liner is flexible and at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the unitary outer liner comprises two substantially circular lobes which emanate contiguously from opposite ends of a regular or non-regular polygonal member, and further wherein the two substantially circular lobes are secured to each other to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 2. The frameless chair according to claim 1, wherein the regular or non-regular polygonal member comprises a substantially rectangular member.
- 3. The frameless chair according to claim 1, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 4. The frameless chair according to claim 1, further comprising a looped handle fabricated from the regular or non-regular polygonal member.
- 5. The frameless chair according to claim 1, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 6. The frameless chair according to claim 1, wherein the unitary outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 7. A frameless chair, comprising:
a unitary outer liner, wherein the unitary outer liner is flexible and at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the unitary outer liner comprises two substantially circular lobes which emanate contiguously from opposite ends of a regular or non-regular polygonal member, and further wherein the two substantially circular lobes are secured to the regular or non-regular polygonal member to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 8. The frameless chair according to claim 7, wherein the regular or non-regular polygonal member comprises a substantially rectangular member.
- 9. The frameless chair according to claim 7, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 10. The frameless chair according to claim 7, further comprising a looped handle.
- 11. The frameless chair according to claim 7, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 12. The frameless chair according to claim 7, wherein the unitary outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 13. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises:
a first flexible component having a substantially lemniscate peripheral geometry; and a second flexible component having a substantially lemniscate peripheral geometry, wherein the first flexible component is secured to the second flexible component to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 14. The frameless chair according to claim 13, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 15. The frameless chair according to claim 13, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 16. The frameless chair according to claim 13, wherein the outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 17. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises:
a first flexible component having a substantially circular peripheral geometry; and a second flexible component having a substantially circular peripheral geometry, wherein the first flexible component is secured to the second flexible component to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 18. The frameless chair according to claim 17, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 19. The frameless chair according to claim 17, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 20. The frameless chair according to claim 17, wherein the outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 21. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises:
a first flexible component having a substantially biconvex peripheral geometry; a second flexible component having a substantially biconvex peripheral geometry; and a third flexible component having a substantially biconvex peripheral geometry, wherein the first flexible component is secured to the second flexible component, and wherein the second flexible component is secured to the third flexible component, and further wherein the third flexible component is secured to the first flexible component to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 22. The frameless chair according to claim 21, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 23. The frameless chair according to claim 21, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 24. The frameless chair according to claim 21, wherein the outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 25. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises at least three flexible components having a substantially biconvex peripheral geometry, and further wherein each one of the at least three flexible components is secured to two others of the at least three flexible components to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 26. The frameless chair according to claim 25, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 27. The frameless chair according to claim 25, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 28. The frameless chair according to claim 25, wherein the outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 29. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises four flexible components having a substantially pyriform peripheral geometry, and further wherein the four flexible components are secured to each other to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 30. The frameless chair according to claim 29, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 31. The frameless chair according to claim 29, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 32. The frameless chair according to claim 29, wherein the outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface of the seam is void of any exposed stitching.
- 33. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises eight flexible components having a substantially hemipyriform peripheral geometry, and further wherein the eight flexible components are secured together to, in turn, form a substantially spherical outer liner; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 34. The frameless chair according to claim 33, further comprising an inner liner positioned within the outer liner, wherein the plurality of polyurethane pieces are retained within the inner liner.
- 35. The frameless chair according to claim 33, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 36. The frameless chair according to claim 33, wherein the outer liner includes at least one seam having an outer surface and an inner surface, the outer surface of the seam being void of any exposed stitching.
- 37. A frameless chair, comprising:
a unitary outer liner, wherein the unitary outer liner is flexible and at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the unitary outer liner comprises an unassembled outer peripheral geometry represented by one of the following structures: 10and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 38. The frameless chair according to claim 37, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 39. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises two flexible components comprising outer peripheral geometries represented by one of the following structures: 11and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 40. The frameless chair according to claim 39, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 41. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises at least three of a flexible component comprising outer peripheral geometries represented by the following structure: 12and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 42. The frameless chair according to claim 41, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 43. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises four flexible components comprising outer peripheral geometries represented by the following structure: 13and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 44. The frameless chair according to claim 43, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 45. A frameless chair, comprising:
an outer liner, wherein the outer liner is at least partially gas permeable, and further wherein the outer liner comprises eight flexible components comprising outer peripheral geometries represented by the following structure: 14and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the outer liner.
- 46. The frameless chair according to claim 45, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
- 47. A substantially spherical frameless chair, comprising:
a substantially spherical outer liner, wherein the substantially spherical outer liner is flexible and at least partially gas permeable; and a plurality of polyurethane foam pieces retained within the substantially spherical outer liner, wherein the density of the polyurethane foam pieces ranges from between approximately 1.0 and approximately 4.0 pounds per cubic foot.
