Claims
- 1. Storage-stable, discrete, non-adherent and free-flowing burst grains or flakes of a hydrophilic or water-soluble polymer gel, said burst grains or flakes comprising a complete thin adherent film coating of a processing aid powder, and said powder being inert with respect to the polymer and either water absorbent or adapted to prevent dehydration of the polymer gel.
- 2. The free-flowing flakes as defined by claim 1, having an average particle size ranging from about 0.3 to 8 mm, and the thin film coating comprising from 1 to 20% of the weight thereof.
- 3. The free-flowing flakes as defined by claim 2, said polymer gel comprising a hydrophilic acrylic polymer.
- 4. The free-flowing flakes as defined by claim 2, said polymer gel comprising a water-soluble acrylic polymer.
- 5. The free-flowing flakes as defined by claim 2, from 70 to 90% by weight thereof having particle sizes ranging from 1 to 4 mm.
