Claims
- 1. A method for enhancing speech prediction coefficient signals, comprising:
a) receiving a set of prediction coefficient signals; b) calculating a set of amplitude spectrum coefficient signals based on said prediction coefficient signals; c) calculating a set of enhancement coefficient signals based on said amplitude spectrum coefficient signals; d) calculating a set a of enhanced autocorrelation coefficient signals based on said enhancement coefficient signals; e) converting at least some of said enhanced autocorrelation coefficient signals into reflection coefficient signals; f) testing the range of values of said reflection coefficient signals; and g) converting at least some of said tested reflection coefficient signals into prediction coefficient signals.
- 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein step b) comprises calculating said amplitude spectrum coefficient signals at predetermined intervals within a predetermined frequency range.
- 3. A device for enhancing speech prediction coefficient signals, comprising:
a) means for receiving a set of prediction coefficient signals; b) means for calculating a set of amplitude spectrum coefficient signals based on said prediction coefficient signals; c) means for calculating a set of enhancement coefficient signals based on said amplitude spectrum coefficient signals; d) means for calculating a set of enhanced autocorrelation coefficient signals based on said enhancement coefficient signals; e) means for converting at least some of said autocorrelation coefficient signals into reflection coefficient signals; f) means for testing the range of values of said reflection coefficient signals; and g) means for converting at least some of said reflection coefficient signals into enhanced prediction coefficient signals.
- 4. The device according to claim 6, wherein step b) comprises a means for calculating said amplitude spectrum coefficient signals at predetermined intervals within a predetermined frequency range.
- 5. A method for enhancing coded speech signals, comprising:
a) receiving a set of prediction coefficient signals; b) calculating a set of amplitude spectrum coefficient signals based on said prediction coefficient signals; c) calculating a set of enhancement coefficient signals based on said amplitude spectrum coefficient signals; d) calculating a set a of enhanced autocorrelation coefficient signals based on said enhancement coefficient signals; e) converting at least some of said enhanced autocorrelation coefficient signals into reflection coefficient signals; f) testing the range of values of said reflection coefficient signals; g) converting at least some of said reflection coefficient signals into prediction coefficient signals; h) receiving coded speech signals; and i) processing said coded speech signals based on said enhanced prediction coefficient signals.
- 6. A device for enhancing coded speech signals, comprising:
a) means for receiving a set of prediction coefficient signals; b) means for calculating a set of amplitude spectrum coefficient signals based on said prediction coefficient signals; c) means for calculating a set of enhancement coefficient signals based on said amplitude spectrum coefficient signals; d) means for calculating a set of enhanced autocorrelation coefficient signals based on said enhancement coefficient signals; e) means for converting at least some of said autocorrelation coefficient signals into reflection coefficient signals; f) means for testing the range of values of said reflection coefficient signals; g) means for converting at least some of said reflection coefficient signals into enhanced prediction coefficient signals; h) means for receiving coded speech signals; and i) means for processing said received coded speech signals based on said enhanced prediction coefficient signals.
