Claims
- 1) What I claim as my invention is a configuration for a walk-along (walk-beside or walk-behind) golf trolley comprising of:
- 2) What I claim as my invention is a configuration for the walk-along golf trolley of claim 1), except that the location of the vertical axis about which the trailing third wheel and support arm pivot together for steering, is located just forward of the rear wheel in the reverse tricycle wheelbase arrangement, that is, such vertical axis is much closer to the rear wheel axle than to the axle of the forward driven wheels.
- 3) What I claim as my invention is a configuration for a walk-along golf trolley of claim 1) that has field buildup/breakdown interfaces for its primary assemblies, said primary assemblies to include: a chassis assembly, front-driven wheels, rear wheel/pivot assembly, steering handle, foldable golf bag upper and lower supports, such that a sequence-of-assembly characteristic is that the largest of assemblies is self-stabilizing during field buildup and breakdown.
- 4) What I claim as my invention is a configuration for a walk-along golf trolley of claim 1) that accommodates a hand actuated front-wheel braking capability, such braking capability being its unique configuration arrangement, utilizing (SOA) technologies that include:
a). A side-pull bicycle-like sissors brake configuration with activation by electrical solenoid, said side-pull sissors acting to stop rotation of a front axle-hub assembly of this invention, b). Anchoring of the sissors brake in such a way as to allow for compliances of the braked axle-hub assembly, and c). The means by which a solenoid activates the brake, using traditional bicycle handle bar cable hand brake levers, such means being resultant modulation of applied solenoid voltage.
- 5. What I claim as my invention is a configuration for a walk-along golf trolley of claim 1) that accommodates remote controlled functionalities of power, steering, and front-wheel braking capability. Implementation of such capability is by utilizing (SOA) technologies that include:
a). Radio frequency transmitter/receiver combination for the remote control of the motor controller, braking solenoids, and a rear wheel steering actuator. b). A geared motorized rotary steering actuator, linkage, and motor-actuator control electronic logic to: 1) Position the rear wheel pivot angle at one of at least three positions: left turn, extended; centered, neutral; and right turn, retracted, 2) A means by which to provide vernier control of the neutral position, and 3) a means by which the steering actuator returns to the neutral steering position once either left or right commanding has ended. c). A second and independent means for applying the braking function, said means by an independent brake lever.
- 6. What I claim as my invention is a configuration for a walk-along golf trolley of claim 1) with a means to accommodate a swing down rest seat, said rest seat comprised of a seat supported by triangulated structure that pivots about a double hinge line, a hinge line near parallel to the ground, attached to a golf cart primary chassis.
