Claims
- 1. In a fuel control device having a valve means to be thermostatically controlled by an expandable and contractible power element having a movable wall for operating said valve means and a fixed wall for being carried by said control device, the improvement comprising a one-piece relatively thick manifold having opposed substantially flat parallel sides, said manifold being secured to said device and having passage means therethrough leading from one of said sides of said manifold external to said control device to the other of said sides of said manifold internal of said control device, said power element having said fixed wall secured to said other side of said manifold to be carried thereby and be in fluid communication with said passage means thereof, said one side of said manifold having a substantially flat external surface disposed at an angle relative to said one side other than parallel and being interrupted by said passage means, said flat surface having a part thereof extending into said one side of said manifold and another part thereof extending outwardly from said one side approximately the same distance said part of said flat surface extends into said one side, and a conduit means secured in said passage means at said flat external surface of said one side of said manifold to be carried thereby and be in fluid communication with said passage means thereof.
- 2. A fuel control device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said control device has a housing means provided with an opening in one end thereof, said manifold closing said opening when said manifold is secured to said control device.
- 3. A fuel control device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said conduit means is bent adjacent said flat external surface of said manifold to extend substantially parallel to said one side of said manifold.
- 4. A fuel control device as set forth in claim 1 wherein said conduit means is bent adjacent said flat external surface of said manifold to extend substantially perpendicular to said one side of said manifold.
