Claims
- 1. A multi-cylinder engine having a plurality of intake passages, at least one of said fuel injectors communicating with at least one of the plurality of the intake passages, a balance passage interconnecting said intake passages to one another, and a fuel supply system which supplies fuel to the fuel injector, the fuel supply system including a fuel vapor separator communicating with said balance passage.
- 2. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 1, wherein said vapor separator includes a vapor discharge port for discharging fuel vapor to said balance passage for delivery to said intake passages.
- 3. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 2, wherein said fuel supply system additionally includes a pressure regulator for controlling fuel pressure at said fuel injectors, said pressure regulator including a reference pressure chamber communicating with said balance passage through a pressure line.
- 4. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 3, additionally comprising a plenum chamber communicating with each intake passage, said plenum chamber including a drain outlet communicating with said balance passage by a connector line.
- 5. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 4, wherein said intake passages are defined by an intake manifold and wherein said intake passages are vertically aligned above one another.
- 6. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 5, wherein said balance passage is formed at least in part by said intake manifold.
- 7. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 5, wherein said pressure line communicates with said balance passage at a location adjacent an uppermost intake passage.
- 8. The multi-cylinder engine of claim 7, wherein said connector line communicates with said balance passage at a location adjacent a lowermost intake passage.
