Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates generally to a garment, and more particularly to a functional garment.

2. Description of Related Art

Taiwan Utility Model M454734 discloses a working suit, which provides various scales of pockets to carry different kinds of goods or tools. The pockets are sewed onto the exterior side of the working suit, therefore the positions and the size of the pockets are fixed. With such working suit, people have to choose the suitable pockets to put the goods based on the sizes or the locations of the pockets. For example, user may like to put a pack of tools in the neighboring pockets. It may happen that the neighboring pockets are not enough for the tools or the sizes of the pockets do not fit the tools. Besides, the user only may take the tools received in the pockets one by one, and the tools are separated without any connection. Another drawback of the conventional working suit is that the pockets are exposed at the exterior side of the suit, it makes anyone knows that you are carrying some goods, and thus increases the risk of your goods being stolen, and the goods might be lost while they are dropped off the pockets.

Thus, the conventional working suit has to be improved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A functional garment of a preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown as a jacket 100 in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. The jacket 100 includes a cloth member 10, a sealing device 20, and a plurality of attaching members 30.

The cloth member 10 includes an outer cloth 12 and a lining 14. The outer cloth 12 has a first (inner) side 12a, and the lining 14 has a second (inner) side 14a facing the first side 12a of the outer cloth 12. The outer cloth 12 and the lining 14 are sewn together at margins to form a space 16 therebetween. In the present embodiment, the outer cloth 12 is provided with an opening 18 to be an access of the space 16. In another embodiment, the opening is provided on the lining 14 (not shown).

The sealing device 20 is attached to the outer cloth 12 and around the opening 16 to open and close the opening 16. In the present embodiment, the sealing device 20 is a zipper to open and close the opening 18.

The attaching members 30 are rectangular pieces of hooked Velcro devices in the present invention, and are attached to the second side 14a of the lining 14 in a matrix layout. In another embodiment, the attaching members 30 are elongated strips of hooked Velcro devices fixed to the second side 14a of the lining 14 in parallel. The attaching members 30 are separated from each other to provide the cloth member 10 still flexible at the region distributing the attaching members 30. In another embodiment, the attaching members are provided on first side 12a the outer cloth 12 (not shown).

The attaching members 30 are designated to attach at least a storage device thereon. The storage device has a space therein to store goods. FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 show the storage device is a coin bag 40 with an attached member 42 at a back side thereof. The attached member 42 is a looped Velcro device in the present embodiment to be attached to the hooked Velcro devices 32 of the attaching members 30, therefore the coin bag 40 could be received in the space 16 and firmly attached to the lining 14. While the sealing device 20 opens the opening 18, one may put the coin bag 40 in, or take it out, and the coin bag 40 received in the space 16 will never be lost or stolen while the sealing device 20 closes the opening 18.

FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 show the storage device is a tool bag 50. The tool bag 50 has a base and a strip sewed on a front side of the base. The strip is sewn at several portions to form a plurality of receiving spaces for receiving (or hanging) tools. On a back side of the base an attached member 52 is provided. In the present embodiment, the attached member includes three strips of looped Velcro devices 52 to be attached to the hooked Velcro devices of the attaching members 30. The action of accessing is the same as above.

It is noted that the attaching members 30 may be widely distributed over the second side 14a of the lining 14 (or over the first side 12a of the outer cloth 12, or both) that could store more storage devices in the space 16.

As shown in FIG. 6, the sealing member includes several pairs of Velcro devices 22, 24 at opposite sides of the opening 18. The Velcro devices 22, 24 serve the same function as the zipper. In an embodiment, there may be only a pair of the Velcro devices 22, 24. FIG. 7 shows the sealing member including several pairs of snap buttons 26, 28 at opposite sides of the opening 18. The snap buttons 26, 28 serve the same function as well.

In conclusion, the present invention provides the functional garment capable of storing goods in the cloth member, and the goods could be arranged at any place according to the user's decision. It must be pointed out that the embodiments described above are only some preferred embodiments of the present invention. All equivalent structures which employ the concepts disclosed in this specification and the appended claims should fall within the scope of the present invention.
