Claims
- 1. A compound of the formula: ##STR6## wherein X is a six membered heterocyclic ring having up to three atoms selected independently from nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, all members of the ring unsubstituted or substituted with one or two substituents independently selected from (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl and halo;
- Q is 1-(1,2,4-triazolyl) or 4-(1,2,4-triazolyl) or either of said triazolyls substituted with one or two substituents selected from halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, nitro, cyano, mercapto and (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)alkylmercapto;
- Z is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, halo(C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkynyl, (C.sub.5 -C.sub.8)cycloalkenyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkylaryl, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl, or (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl substituted with one, two or three substituents selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, halo, acetoxy, trihalomethyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy; (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylthio, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylsulfinyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylsufonyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy (C.sub.1-C.sub.4)alkoxy, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl carbonyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.4)alkenyloxy, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkynyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.4)alkynyloxy, phenyl phenyl substituted monosubstituted with halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy, phenoxy and phenoxy monosubstituted with halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl;
- W is --OR, --OCOR", --OCOY, --OCOR'Y, --OCOR'OR", --OR'OCOR", --OR'OR, --NH2, --NHCOR, --NHCOR'Y, --NHCOY, --OCONHY, --OSO.sub.2 A, --OSiA.sub.3, --OPO(OA).sub.2 or halo wherein A is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- R is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, X,Y-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.8)alkynyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.8)cycloalkyl, cyano (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl or epoxy (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, all halogenated or unhalogenated, or is hydrogen, provided that when Z is methyl, R is not haloalkyl;
- R' is (--CH(CH.sub.3)--)p(--CH.sub.2 --)m or (--CH.sub.2 --)sCH.dbd.CH(--CH.sub.2 --)t;
- m is an integer from 0 to 6;
- p is 0 or 1, provided m and p are not both 0;
- s and t are each independently integers of from 0 to 3;
- R" is phenyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.4)alkenyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)-trialkylsilyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, all unsubstituted or substituted with 1, 2 or 3 halogens or is hydrogen;
- R'" is hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- n is an integer from 1 to 6; and
- Y is phenyl, naphthyl, thienyl, furyl or cycloalkyl, or the agronomically acceptable enantiomers, salt complexes or metal complexes thereof.
- 2. A compound of the formula: ##STR7## wherein X is a six membered heterocyclic ring having up to three atoms selected independently from nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, all members of ring unsubstituted or substituted with one or two substituents independently selected from (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12) alkyl and halo;
- Q is 1-(1,2,4-triazolyl) or 4-(1,2,4-triazolyl) or either of said triazolyls substituted with one or two substituents selected from halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, nitro, cyano, mercapto and (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)alkyl mercapto;
- Z is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, halo(C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkynyl, (C.sub.5 -C.sub.8)cycloalkenyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkylaryl, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl or (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl substituted with one, two or three substituents selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, halo, acetoxy, trihalomethyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy; (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylthio, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylsulfinyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylsufonyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylcarbonyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.4)alkenyloxy, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.8)alkynyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.4)alkynyloxy, phenyl, phenyl substituted monosubstituted with halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy, phenoxy and phenoxy monosubstituted with halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl;
- W is --OR, --OCOR", --OCOY, --OCOR'Y, --OCOR'OR", --OR'OCOR", --OR'OR, --NH.sub.2, --NHCOR, --NHCOR'Y, --NHCOY, --OCONHY, --OSO.sub.2 A, --OSiA.sub.3, --OPO(OA).sub.2 or halo wherein A is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- R is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl, X, Y-alkyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.8)alkenyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.8)alkynyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.8)cycloalkyl, cyanoalkyl or epoxyalkyl, all unsubstituted or substituted with 1, 2, or 3 halogens, or hydrogen, provided that when Z is methyl, R is not haloalkyl;
- R' is (--CH(CH.sub.3)--)p(--CH.sub.2 --)m or (--CH.sub.2 --)sCH.dbd.CH(--CH.sub.2 --)t;
- m is an integer from 0 to 6;
- p is 0 or 1, provided m and p are not both 0;
- s and t are each independently integers of from 0 to 3;
- R" is phenyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.4)alkenyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)-trialkylsilyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, all unsubstituted or substituted with 1, 2 or 3 halogens or is hydrogen;
- R'" is hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- n is an integer from 1 to 6; and
- Y is piperdinyl, triazolyl, pyrazinyl, pyrimidinyl, phthalimido, morpholinyl, pyridyl, or the agronomically acceptable enantiomorphs, acid addition salts or metal salt complexes thereof.
- 3. A fungicidal composition which comprises an agronomically acceptable carrier and a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of claim 1.
- 4. A method for controlling fungi which comprises applying to the locus where control is desired a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of claim 1.
- 5. A fungicidal composition which comprises an agronomically acceptable carrier and a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of claim 2.
- 6. A method for controlling fungi which comprises applying to the locus where control is desired a fungicidally effective amount of the compound of claim 2.
