The present invention relates generally to sensual or erotic games, and more specifically, but not exclusively to a sensual or erotic game using a folded construct.
Sensual or erotic games may often lack sophistication, complexity and an element of chance. However, complex sensual or erotic games may cause confusion and detract from the erotic experience. Moreover, pre-packaged sensual or erotic games fail to hold the player(s) interests after a few game plays. Marketing for sensual or erotic games may also fail to capture an up-scale market and the opportunity to sell other products or to increase brand loyalty using personalization. Other deficiencies relate to the inability of existing games to trigger interest in game and participation in a game, lack of portability of the game, and/or lack of adaptability of the game. It is with respect to these considerations and others that the current invention is directed.
In accordance with the principles of the present invention, systems, process, and articles of manufacture are provided that related to erotic or sensual games. For example a game is provided that includes a structure for playing the game. The structure is adapted to be mechanically moved to a first position to offer a player to select one of a plurality of options visible on flaps on the structure. The structure is further adapted to be moved to a second position exposing a second set of options for the player to select from and to be mechanically manipulated based on the selection from the second set of options to arrive at a third position of the structure. The structure includes flaps that are unfolded when the structure is in the third position to expose an erotic related instruction that is to be played by game participants.
The game structure can be a fortune telling game which is adapted for adult-oriented entertainment rather than as a children's game. The structure may be made in different ways and may be made of different materials such as paper, plastic, fabric, leather or metal. The structure may be made to be user-configurable. For example, the user could write or otherwise reconfigure the instructions on the inside of the game to suit his or her specific interests and desires. This permits the game to be different every time it is played, and to evolve with the evolution of the players' interests.
In another example embodiment, a kit can be assembled that includes the game and individual items identified in the erotic or sensual related instructions. The kit can for example include a small “bullet” vibrator, a feather, condoms, and lubricants. The kit can be packaged in a small container (e.g., approx. two by five inch container) for sale as part of products offered as hotel hospitality or in-room concessions, possibly labeled an “intimacy kit.”
A computer system, which may include one or more computers (e.g., in client-server relationship, a standalone computer) and related software and data can be implemented to display and interface that provides a user with an opportunity to personalize and generate the game. The interface can be displayed by end-user customer who may want to personalize the instruction or incorporate other devices. In another embodiment, the system may include another interface that provides a user with an opportunity to buy the kit. The system may be configured to receive an order from the user to produce the game locally or at a vendor site (e.g., print it yourself, or a vendor will ship it to you, etc.). The vendor may also supply any other individual items (e.g., a vibrator, a feather, condoms, lubricants) that the user has chosen to have incorporated into the game.
The game, if desired, may be implemented digitally using computer, a cell phone, PDA, or other end-user device using a resident software or a client-server arrangement (e.g., over the Internet) such as to play the game with someone who is co-located or to play with others on network connections. The interface may simulate the operation of a mechanical game or if desired, may represent the same game using representative graphics.
Related method and other embodiments may also be implemented as illustratively described herein.
U.S. Pat. No. 4,083,563 to Drohomirecky et al., which is hereby explicitly incorporated herein by reference, discusses a folded fortune pouch game that is made of durable material to extend its useful life. U.S. Pat. No. 6,315,632 to Gibbons, et al., which is hereby explicitly incorporated herein by reference, discusses a folding fortune telling toy with replaceable inner flaps to replace messages. Both patents are directed to children toys and fortune telling games for children. To further elaborate, the folded construct and related games are not only described in Drohomirecky and Gibbons to be for children, they are generally known and understood to be a game that children play. The common understanding and usage is of children's game. Embodiments of the present invention, however, implement an application of the game that is directed to erotic, sexy, sexual, or sensual, communication, flirting, touch, massage, role play, sex, voyeurism or exhibitionism. For the sake of convenience, the term “erotic” or “sensual or erotic” is used herein to refer to erotic, sexy, sexual or sensual. The use of the construct for children's game provides a number of advantages not previously understood by those of ordinary skill in the art. One advantage is that the device provides an innocuous and familiar medium (e.g., one with which people may have a comfort level from fond childhood reminiscence about playing the fortune telling game). This may have the further advantage of lowering the threshold or negative barriers for individuals to play the game, which is often a problem with erotic games. This is a problem because the parties may not be so familiar with each other and the game provides such an ice breaker for such people in a friendly and not overwhelming way that can be a great advantage to the players. This can be a significant advantage by tying the game to a medium the players may find innocuous but which direct them to an adult-oriented erotic game contrary to what the general understanding of that game as a children's toy.
Benefits of at least some embodiments of the present invention include: the game kit/game construct is inexpensive to produce; the game kit/game construct can be a promotional or giveaway item; the kit/game is inexpensive to transport (e.g., can be sent via mail, email, or the like); and the kit/game is customizable and/or personalizable. As such, the product provides a great user experience with the advantage of being portable and inexpensive to produce.
The third rectangle 20 forms a body portion of the flexible material having an inner surface 24 and an outer surface 26 so as to be foldable between a flat plane, as illustrated in
As shown in
The upper end 46 and the sides 38 extend around the body portion 22 such that the panels 28 and 30 may be moved into various positions. The outer flaps 36 extend in substantially the same plane as the lower end 34 of each of the panels 28 and 30. Each flap 36 therefore has an upper end 46 which extends loosely over the upper end 32 of each panel 28 and 30, such that it is capable of movement relative thereto in the various positions illustrated in
The game construct 10 being formed in the manner set forth in
Although the number of inner flaps 50 could vary, the embodiment of
The messages 55 of

As illustrated in
Third indicia means 77 is provided on each of the outer flaps 36. As illustrated in
The game construct 10 may be played with in various ways, but particularly the position may vary such that either the first indicia means 75 is viewable in the position illustrated in
The transition step illustrated in
The rules of play permit the player to maneuver the game construct such that looking down from the top one would see the written numbers of the first and second indicia means 75 and 76. The above steps illustrate the general movement of the game construct such that it can be used as a fortune telling or message telling game construct in conjunction with the messages 55.
As used herein, the term “symbol” refers to any indicia including visual indicia.
Instructions 150-151 and/or 210-212 are configured to instruct a player of the game to perform at least one action to the folded surface and to perform the sensual/erotic act to another player of the game. In one embodiment, the sensual/erotic act comprises using an erotic accessory (e.g., 140-141), touching of one body part of one player of the game to another body part of another player of the game. An erotic or sensual accessory can for example be a small bullet vibrator, a feather, etc.
At step 1320, for each enumerated item of a symbol, at least one player alternates between opening the construct horizontally with a simultaneous spreading of the first finger from the third finger and the second finger from the fourth finger and vertically with another simultaneous spreading of the first finger from the second finger and the third from the fourth finger. In one embodiment, the alternating may be performed while enumerating the symbol to provide the each enumerated item. For example, the words “FORTUNE” may be spelt, or the player may count from one to a number selected. In one embodiment, the first and second finger are correspondingly a thumb and an index finger of a left hand, and wherein the second and third finger are correspondingly a thumb and an index finger of a right hand, and wherein alternating further comprises spreading of the wrists of both hands away from each other. In one embodiment, alternating may be substantially the steps performed for moving between FIGS. 6/8 and
At step 1325, it is determined whether there is to be another selection of an enumerable symbol. If so, the process loops back to step 1305. Steps 1305-1325 may be performed a plurality of times. Otherwise, the process continues to block 1330. In one embodiment, in a first time performing steps 1305-1325, the symbol to be selected may be the symbols labeled on the outer side surface, such as symbols 136 (e.g., “FORTUNE”, “FATE”, “DESTINY”, and “CHANCE”). In one embodiment, in subsequent times performing steps 1305-1325, the symbol to be selected may be the symbols labeled on the outer surface of the inner flaps, such as symbols 75-76 (e.g., numbers). For example, in one particular embodiment, a game illustrated in the flow chart may be implemented by first selecting FORTUNE, FATE, DESTINY, or CHANCE, shuffling the construct based on the letters in the selected word, allowing a player to select a number exposed in the structure when the shuffle ends, shuffling the construct the numbers of times selected, allowing the user to select a number again from the numbers exposed when the shuffling ended, shuffling the construct again the numbers of times selected, and allowing the user to select an exposed number again, and exposing the act by opening the flap on which the number is located. In another particular embodiment, this particular process just described can result in identifying a first part of an instruction (e.g., a body part) and the process can be repeated from start again to pick the second part of the act (e.g., the act to be performed to the body part). Alternatively, the process may continue to a second phase that may involve some other operation of the game (e.g., using fewer moves).
At step 1330, a selection of the selected one of the choices is received from at least one player. At step 1340, a section associated with the selection is opened. At step 1350, at least one player is instructed to perform a sensual/erotic act labeled within an opening of a section associated with a selected one of the choices. For example, the sensual/erotic act can include using a sensual or erotic accessory, blowing, kissing, nibbling, tickling, stroking, nibbling, licking, or stroking a part of the body of a person playing the sensual/erotic game. Alternatively, the sensual/erotic acts can be different sexual positions.
Software and/or hardware can be implemented for playing the game and in particular for allowing a user to design a game for herself via their computer such as by personalizing the game with names as part of the instructions, integrating accessories that the user personally owns, or to perform other personalization or customization of the game. This may also provide the users with the ability to print the game locally so that they can fold the game themselves or to have the game printed by a vendor and shipped to the user. The vendor may be able to provide custom paper or other ornamentation.
For example,
Client device 1401 may comprise a component 1410 for sending a construction of the sensual/erotic game. Component 1410 may receive an input though a user interface may provide a user interface on display 1420 or the like. A construction instruction may be sent over a network to server 1402. Display 1420 may be configured to preview at least one configuration of a folded and/or unfolded representation of the construct according to the construction instruction.
In one embodiment, server 1402 may comprise a receiver 1442 for configuring a construction instruction for constructing the sensual/erotic game, wherein the instruction comprises information for at least one of: a game play instruction printed on an underside of at least one of four flaps of a construct, a number printed on an inner side of the construct, a word printed on an outer side of the construct, a sensual/erotic act printed within an opening of the inner side, or any other instruction for constructing the game. In one embodiment, the information may further comprise an image representative of at least one player of the game printed on at least one side of the construct, such as a picture of the player, a favorite food, an icon, or the like. In one embodiment, the construction instruction is received by the receiver over an Internet. In one embodiment, server 1402 may provide a web page, web service, or the like in HTML, or equivalents, and may receive the instruction over a network protocol, including HTTP.
Server 1402 may include an ordering component 1440 for receiving at least one of: a purchase of at least one sensual or erotic accessory for use according to the received sensual/erotic act information, or a re-order of at least one configured label to be placed on the construct or another sensual or erotic accessory for use according to another received sensual/erotic act instruction, or the like. Server 1402 may include a sensual or erotic accessory inventory component 1444 for determining an availability, configuration, or identity of a sensual or erotic accessory specified by the information and/or received instruction. Server 1402 may also include a shipping component 1450 for sending or otherwise shipping a sensual or erotic game kit comprising a printed version of the construct and at least one sensual or erotic accessory determined for example by the information, inventory component 1444, referenced in the sensual/erotic act instruction printed on the construct, or the like.
Client 1401 and/or server 1402 may be in communication with a printer 1430 for providing a printout of the construct, wherein the printout comprises the information and at least one fold lines for folding the construct. The printer 1430 may provide two sided printing. Printer 1430 may produce a printout substantially similar to
Memory 1414 may comprise processor readable medium for playing an erotic game, comprising instructions that when executed by processor 1412 causes the processor 1412 to perform actions. In one embodiment, the actions may be the steps of
Accordingly, memory 1414 and/or processor 1412 may be configured to provide a plurality of game commands. In one embodiment, processor 1412 may be configured to perform actions including sending a first command to at least one player to place a first and second finger under a corresponding first and second flap on an underside of a folded construct, wherein the construct includes a plurality of choices printed on a facing side of the construct and to place a third and fourth finger under a corresponding third and fourth flap on the underside of the construct; receiving a choice of an enumerable symbol; sending a second command to the at least one player to alternate, for each enumerated item of the symbol, between opening the construct horizontally and vertically; and/or sending a third command to the at least one player to perform a sensual or erotic act based on a configuration of the construct after the player alternates between opening the construct horizontally and vertically. In one embodiment, processor 1412 may send at least one of the commands over a network comprising an Internet or a cellular network. In one embodiment, at least one of the commands is displayed on a display of a mobile device. The commands may be received at a device for players that are co-located.
In another embodiment, the game structure is represented digitally in an electronic interface such as using flash media. Thus, playing the game would not require the actual mechanical structure. The interface can be a resident software application or can be networked and could even allow individuals to not be co-located to play the game such as by using their PC, mobile phone, PDA, or other device. The interface can include a digital representation of the game with related commands to interact with the game and variations thereof.
The structure for playing the game can be a folded structure or can be a structure that is manufactured to have the necessary form for playing the game without requiring it to be folded to be ready (e.g., plastic pieces may be connected with hinges). Variations of implementation are thus contemplated including for example the use of different materials to construct the game.
