The disclosure relates to game device and more particularly pertains to a new game device for facilitating players to walk along a gaming area during game play. The device includes a plurality of game tiles that can be laid out in any shape and which have dimensions sufficient to permit a player to stand on the game tiles. The device includes a die that is rolled to determine the number of game tiles to move along. A plurality of game cards is provided and each of the game cards has indicia printed on the game cards comprising game play instructions.
The prior art relates to game devices.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a plurality of game tiles. Each of the game tiles has a length and a width of at least 20.0 inches to facilitate a player to stand upon the game tiles. The plurality of games tiles is sequentially numbered for arranging on a support surface in numeric order thereby defining a gaming area. Each of the game tiles has indicia comprising a respective one of a variety of verbal phrases or a number. A plurality of game cards is provided and each of the game cards has indicia comprising a variety of verbal commands. A die is provided to be rolled by the players thereby facilitating the players to be instructed to move between a number of the game tiles which corresponds to the number rolled on the die.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
Each of the game tiles 12 has a top surface 20, a bottom surface 22 and a perimeter edge 24 extending between the top surface 20 and the bottom surface 22, and the bottom surface 22 rests on the support surface 14. The perimeter edge 24 of each of the game tiles 12 has a plurality of intersecting sides 26 such that each of the game tiles 12 has a rectangular shape. Additionally, each of the plurality of game tiles 12 is arrangeable such that a respective one of the intersecting sides 26 of the perimeter edge 24 of each of the game tiles 12 abuts a respective intersecting side 26 of the perimeter edge 24 of a respective game tile 12. In this way the plurality of game tiles 12 is arranged to define the gaming area. The game tiles 12 may be spaced apart from each other a distance deemed appropriate by the players to facilitate the players to accommodate social distancing while playing the game. The indicia 18 on the game tiles 12 may include a variety of phrases, including but not being limited to, “take a shot”, “draw a card”, “skip a turn”, “go back ten spaces” and other phrases relating the game play.
A plurality of game cards 28 is provided and each of the game cards 28 has indicia which are printed on the game cards 28. The indicia 30 on the game cards 28 comprise a variety of verbal commands. Each of the game cards 28 is selectively drawn by a respective player to instruct the respective player to perform the verbal command on the game card 28 that is drawn by the respective player. Each of the game cards 28 has an upper surface 32, and the indicia 30 printed on each of the game cards 28 is positioned on the upper surface 32. The indicia 30 on the game cards 28 may include a variety of phrases, including but not being limited to, “take a shot”, “if you have a smart phone in your possession, take a drink” and other phrases relating to the consumption of alcoholic beverages and general game play instructions.
A die 34 is provided which has a plurality of numbers that is represented on a respective face 36 of the die 34. In this way the die 34 can be rolled by the players thereby facilitating the players to be instructed to move between a number of the game tiles 12 which corresponds to the number rolled on the die 34. Each of the respective faces 36 of the die 34 has a length and a width of at least 6.0 inches. In this way the die 34 is sufficiently large enough to be rolled by the players while the players are standing on the game tiles 12. The die 34 may have at least six faces 36 thereby facilitating the players to roll a number between one and six when the players roll the die 34.
In use, the plurality of game tiles 12 is arranged on the support surface 14 in numerical order and in any conceivable geometric arrangement. Each player rolls the die 34 and subsequently moves between a corresponding number of the game tiles 12. The player follows the instructions on the game tile 12 each time the player moves. A game card 28 is drawn when the player lands on a game tile 12 that instructs the player to draw a game card 28. The player follows the instructions on the game card 28 to complete their turn. The first player to travel to the end of the game tiles 12 wins the game.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
